The folowing criteriashouldbe considered: A.)Mountunit ascloseto
the battery as possible. CAUTION: Always hsve a battery in the
system; even when operating this lnverterfrom a power supply or
battery chargar. B.)The,mounting location should be as clean as
possible,~preferablyinside of the vehicle or in a shelteredarea, not
exposed to the weather. Under-the-hood tnstaflatlon is not
recommended.Thisunitshouldbe shelteredfromthe elementsas any
olher’electronic device. When choosinga location,keep in mind,the
inverterwtlibecomehot to the touchwhenoperatingathiQhpower.We
suggest you keep your vehicle running when operating the inverter.
Always turn off the lnverter when it Is not In use,
yllidna; Referto TableA for properCC inputwiresize.To receivethe
maximumtimefrombattertes,use the shortest lengthand the largest
gaugewire.Atso,soldered-typetugconnectorsshouldbeusedfor best
results. Marine-typebatteryterminalsare recMnrt?endedto attachlug
connectorstothe battery. To meximizethe performanceoftheInverter,
keep the battery and other electrical connsctots clean and free of
corrosion. AC poweris availablefromthe NEMA-15pluginthefrontof
the invetter.orthe termhal striponthe backofthe unit.

On/OffSW To usea remotecm/offswttchwiththe inverter,
mountyourremoteswitchIna convenientlocation. Connecta small
wirefrom12voitsnegative(frombatteryor inverterDC-,etc.),tothe
switch,thenfromthe switchto the REMOTEor RMTterminalonthe
inverter. Ensurethattheon/offswitchonthefrontoftheinverterisin
the“off position. Usethe remoteswitchto turnthe lnverteronandoff.
Mehan’&& The invertermaybe mountedin any posttlon,providing
adequate air circulation(at least one inch clearance)around the unit.
Do not mountthe unitwherethereis not adequateair ckculation. This
willnotharmthe unitbutwillreducemaximumcontinuouspower.

OPERATING:
To operate,simplyplug in the applianceand turn the inverter on. The
green LED next to the switchwillilluminate.The XP-600powerinverter
can run any load requinng less than 600 watts. To detenine if a
particular device can be run withthe XP800, tookon the identikcation
plate of the device.The powerrequirementspecificationwillbe listedin
watts, volt-ampsor amps (watts and votamps are the same for this
purposes). The inverterisdesignedto supplyelectronicloadsthatdraw
highamountsofcurrentatthe peakvoltageofthe sinewave. Thisallows
properpowerto runelectronicloadssuch as computers,TVs, VCR’sor
virtuallyanydevice.
