A.Introduction
Thankyou for choosingtheportable DVD player.The main features
include a 7" Wide Screen (16:9Aspect Ratio)Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD)monitorandaDVDplayer.Theunitappliesthelateststate of
the art electronics and is designed for use in hotels, offices or your
home.The unitis constructed toprovide yearsofreliable,trouble-free
service,andis compactso that youcan takeit with youanywhere
andis designed for quick and easyinstallation.Please read the en-
tire instruction manual supplied with this product prior tousing. The
documentation will assist you in installingthe system properly to ob-
tainthebest equipment performance.Please save this manualfor
later use.
B.Cautions and Warnings
1.Placement
Toprevent fireorelectric shock,donotexpose this appliance to
rain or moisture.Donot place the set on an unstable cart, stand,
tripod, bracketor table toprevent itfrom falling.Keep the unit
awayfrom strongmagnets, heatsources,directsunlight, exces-
sive dust. If the unit is brought directlyfrom a cold toa warm loca-
tion, moisturemaycondense inside the unit. When youmove it
fromacoldtoawarm location,wait for about one hour before
operating theunit, or remove thediscand leave the unit turned on
until the moistureevaporates.
2.Installation
Ensure that the 7 portable DVD player isinstalled in accordance
with theinstructions and illustrations provided in thismanual.
3.Caution
Do not push objects ofanykind intothe unit through openings;
do not spill or spray liquid ofany kindon or inthe system (this
may result in a fire or electricshock). Do not place anything
heavy ontheunit.Toensure proper ventilation and proper

operation,never cover or blocktheslots and openings with acloth
or other material. Keepthe unit awayfrom an open flame such as
fire,candle etc. Itishazardous toreplacethe batteryincorrectly.
Replacethe batteryonly with thesame or equivalenttype, in order
to protect the environment, please dispose the batteryproperly.
Do not use the unit in temperatures higher than 95 degrees Fahr-
enheit or 35degrees Celsius.
4.Disassemble
Do not attempt todisassemble the cabinet. There is a riskofelec-
tricshock and/orexposure to LaserRadiation. Contact qualified
servicepersonnel ifyoursystem needs repair.
5.Cleaning Unit
Whencleaning, makesurethe system isunplugged fromthe power
source. Donotuseliquid cleaners or aerosolcleaners. Usea cloth
lightly dampenedwith waterfor cleaningtheexterior ofthe system
only.
6.Disc
Do not use irregularlyshaped discs such asheart orstar-shaped
discs as theymay cause the unittomalfunction.Donotstickpaper,
tapeor glue on the disc. Do not expose thedisc to direct sunlight
or heat sources. Do not touchthe surface ofdisc. Handle thedisc
by itsedge. Cleanthedisc bywipingthedisc from the center out
with acleaning cloth. Removethe disc from the unit and store it in
its case after playing. Some playbackoperationsofdiscs maybe
intentionally fixed bysoftwareproducers. Since this unitplays discs
according to the disc contentsthesoftwareproducers designed,
some playback features maynotbeavailable.Alsorefer to the
instructions supplied with the discs.

7.RegionalCoding
Both the DVD player and disc are coded byregion. These
regionalcodes must match in order for the disc to play. Ifthe
codes don’t match, the disc won’t play.This unit’s code is region
2 DVD with other regional codes cannot be played in this unit

D.Powering and installation
1.Powering the system indoors (Referto Figure 1)
Plug oneend of theAC to DC adapterinto the DC input jack on
theleftside ofthe mainunit, then plugtheotherendinto the 100-
240V AC power receptacle.
2. Powering thesystem in acar (Refer to Figure1)
Plugoneend ofthecigarette lighteradapter into the DC inputjack
on theunit, then plugthe other end into the cigarette lighter
socket.

3. Installation In Vehicle
1) Takeout carrybagand unit. Open them for installation.
2) Placeunit into the bagacross the waist flexand make sure
four corners ofunit are tightened bynarrowflexes.
3) Place the bagwith unit into backofcar seat and fasten it into
the headrest with length adjustable waist strap.
4) Handle the carryingwide strapon the top portion ofbag not to
turn backscreen.

a.After connecting powerto theunit, poweron “DVDplayer with the
power switch. The power LED will light.
b. Open thedisc tray byswitching “OPEN , and place a disc intothe
tray.
c. Closethe tray.The unit will load the disc and start playing.
d.Rotate BRIGHTNESS andVOLUME toadjustthe LCD’sbright-
ness and theDVD player’s volume.
e.Tostopplaying adisc, pressSTOP.

1. General Setup Page
1)Withnodiscinsidetheplayer,press‘SETUP’todisplaythe Mainscreen
ofthe Setup Menu on the screen and “General Setup Page appears.At
the same time, “ ishighlighted. Press ‘SETUP’againto exitthe
Setup Menu .
2)Press the ENTER button, “TV Display is highlighted.
3) Press the or buttonto select the other menus in general setup
page.
4) Press to enter the submenu.
5) Press the or buttonto select the sub menu and press the
ENTER to confirm your selection.
6) Repeat steps 3-5 for other menus.
Note: Press to return the previous menu.
a) TV Display
* Normal/PS: When the player outputs signal to a normal TV, a nor-
mal picture is shown on the full screen.
* Normal/LB: When theplayer outputs signal to a normal TV,a nor-
mal picture is shownon the screen withablackstripatboththetop
and bottom ofthe screen.
*Wide:Whentheplayer outputs signal to awide screen TV,a
wide picture is shown on the full screen.
b).Angle Mark
* On: The screen will showthe angle markicon. (*Ifanangle option
is available).
* Off: The screen will not displaytheAngle Mark
NOTE: Not all discs contain above features. The above features are
discdependent.

*On: Enables screensaver
*NOTE: TheDVD player will enter the Screen Saver mode afterap-
proximately fiveminutes ifthe same imageremains on thescreen.
*Off: Disables screen saver(off)
e). Last Memory
*On: The unit will return to the last position on the disc.
*Off: The unit will not return tothe last position on the disc.
Note:TheLastpositionmemoryfunctionareonly effectiveforOPEN
operation.
2.Video QualitySetup
1)InSetup menu, Press the or button toselect“Video QualitySetup
and is highlighted. Press ENTERto enter the Video Quality Setup
page.
2)Press the ENTER button, “Brightness is highlighted.
3)Press the or button to select the other menus in video quality
setup page.
4) Press to enter the submenu.
5) Press the or button to adjust the quantityand press the ENTER
to confirm your selection.
6) Repeat steps 3-5 for other menus.

3. Password
In Setup menu, Pressthe or button toselect “Password Setup
Page and is highlighted. PressENTER to enter the password page.
PressENTERtwice to enter thePassword Change Page.Input the Old
Password or the Default Password, theNewPassword, andConfirmed
the NewPassword. Press ENTER to confirm the change.
Note: Thedefault passwordis 3308.
4. Preference Page
1) In Setup menu, Pressthe or button toselect “PreferencePage and
is highlighted. Press ENTER to enter the Preference Page.
2)Press the ENTER button, “Audio ishighlighted.
3)Press the or buttonto select the other menus in preference
page.
4) Press to enter the submenu.
5) Press the or buttonto select the sub menu and press the
ENTER to confirm your selection.
6) Repeat steps 3-5 for other menus.

Note: Language and subtitle selection are onlyavailable for discs that
are recorded in the above listed languages. Ifthe selected language
is not available, theplayer will playand displayon the screen the

d)Select ‘Parental’usingthe Up/Downbutton,then pressRIGHTto
enter thesubmenu.
Selectthe parentallevelyou desire using the Up/Downbutton for
discs with lock-out functionor multiple ratinglevels. These are listed
fromthe lowest level (1 KIDSAF)to the highest level(8ADULT).
Press ENTER and input 4 digit password, thenpressENTER again
to confirm the parental level setting.

NOTE: The level of8 ADULTis the factorydefault.
e) Select ‘Default’usingthe UP/DOWNbutton, then press RIGHTto
enter the submenu. Press ENTER to makethe settingreturn tothe
factoryset mode.
NOTE: The parental settingis not affected bythe default reset
function.
NOTE: The Default Passwordis 3308.This password is always
effective even after you have selected your own passwordand
changedit. To avoid the possibilityofothers using the default
password to set the parental level and change the password,
we suggest you put this manual in a locationnot reachable by
children in your home. Some discs can be limited depending on
the ageofusers while some discs cannot.

I. Menu
A DVD is divided into sections called titlesandchapters. When you
play a DVD,aroot menu ofthedisc will appearonthescreen ofyour
TV orMonitor.Thecontents ofthemenuvary from disc todisc.Press
MENU duringplaybackto display the menu. Some DVDs onlyallow
youto selectdiscplaybackoptions using the DVD root menu.
J. Display
1.PLAYING TIME AND REMAININGTIME
a. Duringplaybackpress the ‘DISPLAY’button to displaythe cur-
rent Title Number (1), the total Number ofTitles (2), the current
ChapterNumber (3), thetotal Numberof Chapters (4), andthe
Playing elapsedTimefor thetitle (5). Theheadingwill disappear
automaticallyafter 3 seconds ifDISPLAYbutton is not pressed.

2.ANGLE
During playbackof adisc, press ‘ANGLE’to displaytheavailable
angles fordiscscontaining multi-angles*, with thecurrentangle num-
ber (1) and the total number ofangles (2) displaying. Press‘ANGLE’
toselectanotherangle, then pressagain to exit andreturn tothe
normal viewingangle.
*NOTE: Notall discscontain this feature.

3. SUBTITLE
Duringdisc playbackpress ‘SUBTITLE’toselectthe subtitle language
youdesire*,withthecurrentSubtitle LanguageNumber(1) andthe
total Number of Subtitle Languages(2)displayed. Ifthere are mul-
tiple languagespress ‘SUBTITLE’againtoselectanothersubtitle
language. Toturn subtitles OFF,press the ‘SUBTITLE’button until
‘Subtitle Off’isdisplayed. The Subtitle displaywill disappear auto-
matically ifthe ‘SUBTITLE’button is notpressedagainwithin 3
seconds.

4.AUDIO
Duringplaybackpress ‘AUDIO’to select the audio languageyou
desire*, withthecurrent AudioChannelNumber(1)and the total num-
ber of AudioChannels(2)displayed. Press AUDIO again to select
anotheraudio language. Theaudio displaywill disappearautomati-
callyifthe ‘AUDIO’button isnot pressed within for 3 seconds.

USING THEREPEAT FEATURE
Thedefault modefortheRepeatfeatureisOFF. Pressing1/ALL
REPEATconsecutively changes the repeat options:
•Track- repeats thetrackthat is playing.
•All- repeats the disc thatis playing.
•Repeat off
As you toggle through the options, the repeatoptionchanges.The
selected repeat option loops repeatedlyuntilyou turn it off.
