Wearhearingprotectionwhenoperatingthis
machine.
•Inspecttheareawheretheequipmentistobe
usedandremoveallrocks,toys,sticks,wires,
bones,andotherforeignobjectswhichcanbe
thrownbythemachineandmaycausepersonal
injurytotheoperatororbystanders.

WhenusingtheOperatorControlledDischarge
accessory,Exmarkrecommendstheoriginal
mowerdischargedeectortoremaininstalledon
theunitandintheippedupposition.There
aresomeinstanceswheretheexistingdischarge
deectormustberemovedwheninstallingthe
OperatorControlledDischargeaccessory.Ifthe
originalmowerdischargedeectorisremoved
duringtheOperatorControlledDischarge
accessoryinstallation,retainthedischarge
deectoranditshardwareforreinstallationonce
theOperatorControlledDischargeaccessoryis
removed.
1.Useahammerandchiseltoknockoutthe
standardtab,asshowninFigure2,beforestarting
theinstallationinstructions.Knockingoutthe
taballowstheOperatorControlledDischarge
accessoryframetotproperlytothesedecks.
2.Checkthelocationofthemountingpinas
showninFigure2.Ifnecessary,removethebolt
andmountingpinandplaceitintothecorrect
location.Reinstallthebolttosecurethemounting

Usethedischargegatetotemporarilystopordeect
grassclippingsawayfromsidewalks,parkinglots,
patios,oranywheregrassclippingsarenotdesiredto
bedischarged.Thehandleallowsthedischargegate
tobeheldinanypositionfromfullyclosedtofully
open.
Important:Multipleaccessoriesaddedtoabase
unitcanchangethestabilityofthemachine.
Readtheunitoperator’smanualtodetermine
ifcounterbalanceweightsarenecessaryforthe
accessoriesinstalledontheunit.
Important:Makesurethemowerisinneutral
beforeoperatingthehandleofthedischargegate.
Important:Thegate,oftheOperatorControlled
Dischargeassembly,isdesignedtooperate
inconjunctionwiththedischargedeector.
ThemowermeetstheANSIStandardSafety
