InstallingtheMowerDecktoTurf
TracerUnits
1.Locatethedrivewheelreleasevalvesontherear
cornerofthehydrostaticpumps.
2.Witha5/8inchwrench,turnbothvalvesoneturn
counterclockwisetoreleasethedrivesystem.
3.Rollthetractortothemowerdeckassemblyand
allowthetractorassemblytotipbackwarduntilthe
rearoftheenginedeckcontactstheground.
4.Carefullyremovethetwohairpinsandspacersfrom
thefrontdecksupportpinsandlowerthefrontof
thedecktotheground.
5.Carefullyremovethetwohairpinsfromthereardeck
supportpinsandlowertherearofthedecktothe
ground.SeeFigure1.
6.Installthemowerdecksupportframetotractor
enginedeckandsecureusingeight3/8-16x11/4
inchscrews,eightspringdiscwashersandeight
whizlocknutsfromboltbag.SeeFigure1.
Note:Placespringdiscwasherconesideagainst
bolthead(cuppedsideawayfromhead)andinstall
tooutsideofsupportframeasshowninFigure1.
Installwithwhizlocknutstotheinsideofengine
deck.Tightenuntilspringwashersareat.
7.Positiontractorwithmowerdecksupportframein
place,overthemowerdeck.
Caution
Whenmowerdeckisnotinstalledorthetwo
frontsupportrodhairpinsareremovedfrom
themowerdeck,theunbalancedweightofthe
tractorortractorwithmountedmowerdeck
supportframemaycausethefrontoftheunitto
risesuddenly.Iftheunitrisessuddenly,injury
mayoccur.
Securelyholddownthefrontendoftheunit
whenthemowerdeckisnotinstalledorthe
supportrodhairpinsareremoved.
8.Alignandre-installthemowerdecksupportpins
intothesupportframe.Installthetwospacersand
hairpinsontothefrontsupportpinsandthetwo
hairpinsandspacersontotherearsupportpins.See
Figure1.

outwardandroutethebeltaroundtheinsideof
thespringloadedidler.Positionthebeltintothe
V-grooveofthemowerdeckdrivesheave.
4.Carefullyreleasethespringloadedidler.
5.Installthecenterbeltshield.
AdjustingtheCuttingHeight
Caution
Whenmowerdeckisnotinstalledorthetwo
frontsupportrodhairpinsareremovedfrom
themowerdeck,theunbalancedweightofthe
tractorortractorwithmountedmowerdeck
supportframemaycausethefrontoftheunitto
risesuddenly.Iftheunitrisessuddenly,injury
mayoccur.
Securelyholddownthefrontendoftheunit
whenthemowerdeckisnotinstalledorthe
supportrodhairpinsareremoved.
Installhairpinclipsintheholesforthedesiredcutting
height.SeeFigure3.
Important:Tomaintaincorrectcuttingheightand
rake,checkthefollowingforproperadjustment.
