Der Profi-Trimmer OT10 / OT11 / OT11B / OT14
Dieser Trimmer entspricht dem neuesten Stand der Technik, ist innovativ und
designorientiert. Bei der Entwicklung wurden die Anforderungen an einen Profi-
Trimmer im Friseursalon berücksichtigt. Der Trimmer ist besonders zum präzisen
Schneiden der Haarkonturen geeignet.
1Sicherheit
Bitte lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung, besonders das Kapitel „Sicherheit“
sorgfältig durch, bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen. So schützen Sie sich
vor möglichen Gefahren und das Gerät vor Schäden durch Fehlbedienung.
Bewahren Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung zum späteren Nachlesen auf. Bei
Weitergabe des Gerätes geben Sie bitte auch diese Gebrauchsanweisung mit.
Die Gebrauchsanweisung ist Bestandteil des Produktes.
Begriffserklärung
Falls erforderlich, werden folgende Warnhinweise in dieser Bedienungsanleitung
verwendet:
GEFAHR! Hohes Risiko: Missachtung der Warnung kann Schaden
für Leib und Leben verursachen.
WARNUNG! Mittleres Risiko: Missachtung der Warnung kann Verlet-
zungen oder schwere Sachschäden verursachen.
VORSICHT: Geringes Risiko: Missachtung der Warnung kann leichte Verletzun-
gen oder Sachschäden verursachen.
HINWEIS: Sachverhalte und Besonderheiten, die im Umgang mit dem Gerät be-
achtet werden sollten.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
~Dieser Trimmer darf ausschließlich zum Schneiden von menschlichen Kopf-
haaren verwendet werden.
~Das Gerät ist nur für den Gebrauch in Innenräumen ausgelegt!
~Das Gerät wurde für den professionellen Einsatz im Salon entwickelt.
Vorhersehbarer Missbrauch
~Verwenden Sie den Trimmer ausschließlich zum Schneiden von menschli-
chen Kopfhaaren, aber keinesfalls für andere Körperteile, Tiere oder Gegen-
stände.
~Verwenden Sie den Trimmer nicht für nasses Haar.
Anweisungen für den sicheren Betrieb
~ WARNUNG! Halten Sie das Gerät trocken.
~Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren
und von Personen mit reduzierten physischen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder
Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder Wissen benutzt
werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich
des sicheren Gebrauches des Gerätes unter-
wiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden
Gefahren verstanden haben. Kinder dürfen

nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung und Be-
nutzerwartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder ohne
Beaufsichtigung durchgeführt werden.
~Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 3 Jahren
unter Beaufsichtigung benutzt werden.
~Beachten Sie die Hinweise zu Reinigung und
Pflege des Gerätes (siehe “Reinigung und Pfle-
ge” auf Seite 8).
GEFAHR durch verschluckbare Kleinteile
~Der Deckel der Ölflasche ist ein verschluckbares Kleinteil. Halten Sie ihn von
Kindern unter 36 Monaten fern.
GEFAHR für Kinder
~Verpackungsmaterial ist kein Kinderspielzeug. Kinder dürfen nicht mit den
Kunststoffbeuteln spielen. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.
GEFAHR von Stromschlag durch Feuchtigkeit
Die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise gelten für die angeschlossene Ladestation.
~Benutzen Sie dieses Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Badewannen, Duschen,
Waschbecken oder anderen Gefäßen, die Wasser enthalten.
~Stellen Sie das Gerät niemals so ab, dass es im angeschlossenen Zustand
ins Wasser fallen kann.
~Sollte das Gerät doch einmal ins Wasser gefallen sein, ziehen Sie sofort das
Netzteil und nehmen Sie erst danach das Gerät heraus. Benutzen Sie das
Gerät in diesem Fall nicht mehr, sondern lassen Sie es von einer Fachwerk-
statt überprüfen.
~Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit, Tropf- oder Spritzwasser.
~Das Gerät, die Verbindungsleitung und das Netzteil dürfen nicht in Wasser
oder andere Flüssigkeiten getaucht werden.
~Sollte Flüssigkeit in das Gerät gelangen, sofort das Netzteil ziehen. Vor einer
erneuten Inbetriebnahme das Gerät prüfen lassen.
~Bedienen Sie das Gerät nicht mit nassen Händen.
~Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch das Netzteil. Die Nähe von Wasser stellt eine
Gefahr dar, auch wenn der Trimmer nicht geladen wird.
~Als zusätzlicher Schutz wird die Installation einer Fehlerstromschutz-
einrichtung (FI/RCD) mit einem Bemessungsauslösestrom von nicht mehr als
30 mA im Stromkreis empfohlen. Fragen Sie Ihren Elektroinstallateur um Rat.
Lassen Sie den Einbau ausschließlich von einer Elektro-Fachkraft durchfüh-
ren.

GEFAHR durch Stromschlag
Die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise gelten für die angeschlossene Ladestation.
~Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig das Gerät und die Verbindungsleitung auf
Beschädigungen. Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb, wenn das Gerät
oder die Verbindungsleitung sichtbare Schäden aufweist oder wenn das
Gerät zuvor fallen gelassen wurde.
~Schließen Sie das Netzteil nur an eine ordnungsgemäß installierte, leicht
zugängliche Steckdose an, deren Spannung der Angabe auf dem Typen-
schild entspricht. Die Steckdose muss auch nach dem Anschließen weiterhin
leicht zugänglich sein.
~Verlegen Sie die Verbindungsleitung so, dass niemand auf diese treten,
daran hängen bleiben oder darüber stolpern kann.
~Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verbindungsleitung nicht beschädigt wird:
– Halten Sie die Verbindungsleitung fern von heißen Oberflächen und
scharfen Kanten.
– Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verbindungsleitung nicht eingeklemmt oder
gequetscht wird.
– Wickeln Sie die Verbindungsleitung nicht um das Gerät. Das Kabel
könnte brechen.
~Um das Netzteil aus der Steckdose zu ziehen, immer am Netzteil, nie an der
Verbindungsleitung ziehen.
~Ziehen Sie das Netzteil aus der Steckdose, …
– nach jedem Gebrauch,
– nach jedem Ladevorgang,
– wenn eine Störung auftritt,
– bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen und
– bei Gewitter.
~Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Netzteil während des Reinigens nicht wieder ein-
gesteckt werden kann.
~Um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden, nehmen Sie keine Veränderungen am
Gerät vor. Auch die Verbindungsleitung darf nicht selbst ausgetauscht wer-
den. Lassen Sie Reparaturen ausschließlich von Ihrem autorisierten Kunden-
dienst durchführen.
~Verwenden Sie ausschließlich die Original-Netzstecker-Adapter.
~Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Original-Ersatzteile, die Sie beim Kunden-
service bestellen können (siehe Rückseite dieser Gebrauchsanweisung).
Wenn die Verbindungsleitung beschädigt oder gequetscht ist, muss sie kom-
plett mit dem Steckernetzgerät ausgetauscht werden.
GEFAHR durch Akkus
~Schützen Sie den Akku vor mechanischen Beschädigungen. Brandgefahr!
~Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht direkter Sonne oder Hitze aus. Die Umge-
bungstemperatur soll -10 °C nicht unter- und +40 °C nicht überschreiten.
~Die Ladekontakte am Gerät dürfen nicht durch metallische Gegenstände ver-
bunden werden.
~Laden Sie den im Gerät fest eingebauten Akku ausschließlich mit den Origi-
nal-Zubehörteilen auf.
~Das Gerät darf nur mit dem Original-Netzteil T10 betrieben werden.
~Sollte aus dem Akku Elektrolytlösung auslaufen, vermeiden Sie den Kontakt
mit Augen, Schleimhäuten und Haut. Spülen Sie betroffene Stellen sofort mit
reichlich klarem Wasser und suchen Sie einen Arzt auf. Die Elektrolytlösung
kann Reizungen hervorrufen.

~Nur Modell OT14: Das Gerät enthält einen Lithium-Ionen-Akku.
Modelle OT10 / OT11 / OT11B: Das Gerät enthält einen NiMH-Akku.
– Der Akku kann nicht entnommen werden!
– Dieses Gerät darf nicht geöffnet werden!
– Das Gerät muss mit dem eingebauten Akku fachgerecht entsorgt werden.
GEFAHR von Verletzungen durch Schneiden
~Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht mit einem beschädigten oder angebrochenen
Messerkopf.
~Der Messerkopf darf nicht zerlegt werden.
~Greifen Sie bei eingeschaltetem Gerät nicht in oder an den Messerkopf.
~Das Gerät muss ausgeschaltet sein:
– wenn Sie einen Aufsteckkamm aufsetzen oder abnehmen.
– wenn Sie das Gerät aus der Hand legen, z. B. wenn Sie den Schneide-
vorgang kurzzeitig unterbrechen.
– bevor Sie den Messerkopf abnehmen oder aufsetzen,
– bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.
~Verwenden Sie nur die Original-Aufsteckkämme.
~Verwenden Sie keinen beschädigten Aufsteckkamm.
WARNUNG vor Sachschäden
~Der Messerkopf ist ein Präzisionsteil. Schützen Sie ihn vor Beschädigungen.
~Um einen erhöhten Verschleiß von Messerkopf und Motor zu vermeiden,
muss der Messerkopf regelmäßig gereinigt und geölt werden (siehe “Reini-
gung und Pflege” auf Seite 8).
~Verwenden Sie keine scharfen oder kratzenden Reinigungsmittel.
~Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Hitze (z. B. direkter Sonneneinstrahlung), chemi-
schen Substanzen (z. B. Dauerwellmittel) und mechanischen Beschädigun-
gen (z. B. durch Fallenlassen).

2 Vorbereitung
2.1 Aufkleber vom Messerkopf entfernen
An dem Aufkleber über der Befestigungsschraube 16 können Sie erkennen, ob
Sie den Messerkopf werkzeuglos abklappen können. Ziehen Sie diesen Aufkle-
ber vor der ersten Benutzung des Gerätes ab.
2.2 Netzstecker-Adapter wechseln
Das Gerät wird mit einem Netzstecker-Adapter 10 geliefert. Andere Netzstecker-
Adapter können Sie beim Kundendienst bestellen (siehe Service-Adresse auf
der Rückseite dieser Gebrauchsanweisung).
GEFAHR!
~Verwenden Sie ausschließlich die Original-Netzstecker-Adapter 10.
~Ziehen Sie das Netzteil 8aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie die Netzstecker-
Adapter 10 wechseln.
~Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Netzteil 8während des Reinigens nicht wieder
eingesteckt werden kann.
HINWEIS: Achten Sie darauf, die kleinen Pins am Netzteil 8nicht zu verbiegen.
1. Drücken Sie die Entriegelungstaste 9hinein,
während Sie den montierten Netzstecker-Adap-
ter 10 abziehen.
2. Stecken Sie den benötigten Netzstecker-Adap-
ter 10 in das Netzteil 8. Achten Sie darauf, dass
sich die Entriegelungstaste 9oben befindet und
hörbar einrastet.

2.3 Ladevorgang
Wenn das Gerät ausgeliefert wird, ist es noch nicht betriebsbereit.
Bevor Sie den Trimmer an eine Steckdose anschließen, vergewissern Sie sich,
dass die Netzspannung mit der auf dem Typenschild angegebenen Spannung
übereinstimmt.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch sollte das Gerät 2 Stunden geladen werden.
Ein „Überladen” des Gerätes ist nicht möglich.
GEFAHR!
~Überprüfen Sie vor dem Einstecken des Steckernetzgerätes 8, dass die
Netzspannung der Steckdose den Angaben auf den Angaben auf dem
Typenschild entspricht.
– Stecken Sie das Steckernetzgerät 8in eine Steckdose.
– Stellen Sie die Ladestation 2auf eine ebene Fläche.
– Achten Sie darauf, dass der Ein-/Ausschalter 4beim Aufladen auf 0 steht.
– Stellen Sie das Gerät in die Ladestation. Es positioniert sich von selbst und
wird aufgeladen. Die grüne Ladeanzeige 3blinkt während des Ladevorgan-
ges. Wenn der Akku vollständig geladen ist, leuchtet die Ladeanzeige kon-
stant.
3 Bedienung
3.1 Ein- und Ausschalten
–Bild A : Um das Gerät einzuschalten, schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter 4 nach
vorne.
– Um das Gerät auszuschalten, schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter auf Position 0.
HINWEIS für Modell OT11B:
Beim Modell OT11B schaltet sich die LED-Beleuchtung 5für den Schneidebe-
reich dabei automatisch ein/aus.
3.2 Kammaufsatz
– Bild B: Schalten Sie den Trimmer aus und schieben Sie den Kammaufsatz 12
auf den Messerkopf 6, bis er einrastet.
– Anschließend können Sie die Haare wie gewohnt mit dem Trimmer schnei-
den.
– Bild C: Der Kammaufsatz 12 lässt sich auf 4 verschiedene Schnittlängen ein-
stellen (ca. 3 bis 6 mm). Dazu schieben Sie ihn auf dem Messerkopf 6in die
gewünschte Position.
Je weiter der Kammaufsatz 12 eingeschoben wird, desto kürzer ist die Schnittlänge.

4 Reinigung und Pflege
Um die einwandfreie Funktion und volle Leistungsfähigkeit Ihres Trimmers sicherzu-
stellen, reinigen und ölen Sie das Gerät regelmäßig.
Reinigen und Ölen des Messerkopfes
Einmal täglich sollte der Messerkopf 6gründlich gereinigt und geölt werden,
wenn Sie das Gerät regelmäßig benutzen.
– Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.
– Nehmen Sie ggf. den Kammaufsatz 12 ab.
– Entfernen Sie die Haare mit der Reinigungsbürste 14 .
– Bild D: Ölen Sie die Stellen, wo sich das untere und das obere Schermesser
berühren.
HINWEIS für Modell OT11B: Achten Sie beim Ölen darauf, dass kein Öl zwi-
schen Gehäuse und LED-Beleuchtung 5eindringt.
Abnehmen des Messerkopfes
In regelmäßigen Abständen sollte der Messerkopf 6zusätzlich abgenommen
werden, um Haarreste im Innenraum vorsichtig mit der Reinigungsbürste 14 zu
entfernen.
Modelle OT11 / OT11B / OT14
– Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Ein-/Ausschalter 4in der Position 0 steht.
–Abnehmen: Bild E: Drücken Sie von der Oberseite mit dem Daumen den
Messerkopf 6vom Gerät ab.
–Aufsetzen: Setzen Sie den Messerkopf 6unten an und schwenken ihn nach
oben, bis er einrastet.
Modell OT10
– Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Ein-/Ausschalter 4in der Position 0 steht.
–Abnehmen: Nehmen Sie den Innensechskantschlüssel 15 aus dem Boden
der Ladestation 2, um die Schraube 16 des Messerkopfes 6zu lösen.
– Bild F: Lösen Sie die Schraube 16 ganz und nehmen Sie sie heraus.
– Drücken Sie mit dem Daumen den Messerkopf 6nach oben ab.
–Aufsetzen: Setzen Sie den Messerkopf 6unten an und schwenken ihn nach
oben. Drücken Sie auf den Messerkopf 6, bis er einrastet und schrauben Sie
ihn fest.
Austauschen des Messerkopfes
Der Messerkopf 6ist ein Verschleißteil. Trotz guter Pflege wird die Schneid-
leistung einmal nachlassen. Tauschen Sie den Messerkopf dann aus. Der Mes-
serkopf kann einzeln als Ersatzteil beim Kundendienst bestellt werden. Die
Anschrift und Telefonnummer des nächstgelegenen für Sie zuständigen Kunden-
dienstes finden Sie auf der Rückseite dieser Gebrauchsanweisung.
Reinigung des Gerätes
– Wischen Sie Ihr Gerät gelegentlich mit einem feuchten Tuch ab, anschlie-
ßend trockenreiben.
Reinigung der Ladekontakte
Wenn die Ladekontakte 7am Gerät oder die Ladekontakte 1an der Ladestati-
on 2verschmutzt sind, kann der Aufladevorgang unterbrochen oder behindert
werden.
– Reinigen Sie die Ladekontakte 7mit einem in Alkohol oder Spiritus getauch-
ten Wattebausch oder Tuch.

Pflege des Akkus
– Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät nicht eingeschaltet weggelegt wird, wenn
der Akku leer ist.
– Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist (Ein-/Ausschalter auf 0),
wenn Sie es in die Ladestation 2stellen.
5 Service
Nach heutigem Stand der Technik unterliegen Teile an elektrotechnischen Gerä-
ten in einem gewissen Maße einem zeitlich bedingten Verschleiß.
Um die einwandfreie Funktion und Sicherheit Ihres Gerätes zu erhalten, muss
eine regelmäßige Überprüfung, gemäß den landesspezifischen gesetzlichen Be-
stimmungen durchgeführt werden - mindestens jedoch alle 2 Jahre.
6 Entsorgung
7 Gewährleistung
Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
wir sichern Ihnen für unsere Produkte eine einjährige gesetzliche Gewährleistung ab
Kaufdatum für alle Mängel zu, die auf Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern beruhen.
• Sollte wider Erwarten innerhalb dieses Zeitraums ein Mangel an diesem
Gerät auftreten, stehen wir Ihnen dafür ein, das Gerät nach unserer Wahl
durch Reparatur oder Austausch gegen ein anderes Fehlerfreies zu ersetzen.
• Diese Leistungenwerden nur gegen Vorlage der Originalrechnung bzw. des Kauf-
belegs erbracht. Bewahren Sie den Kaufbeleg zum Nachweis des Kaufdatums
auf.
• Von der Gewährleistung ausgenommen sind Schäden, die durch unsachge-
mäßen Gebrauch und normalen Verschleiß verursacht sind.
• Die Gewährleistungszusage erlischt auch, wenn an dem Produkt Eingriffe von
nicht autorisierten Stellen vorgenommen werden oder wenn bei der Montage
Fremdprodukte zum Einsatz kommen.
• Mängel, die den Wert und die Gebrauchstauglichkeit des Produktes nur uner-
heblich beeinflussen, fallen nicht unter die Gewährleistung.
• Verschleißteile sind von der Gewährleistung ausgenommen. Typische Teile,
die regelmäßig dem Verschleiß und insofern nicht unserer Gewährleistung
unterliegen, sind insbesondere der Akku und der Messerkopf.
• Im Gewährleistungsfall setzen Sie sich bitte mit dem zuständigen Service in
Verbindung: die Service-Adresse finden Sie auf der Rückseite dieser
Gebrauchsanweisung.
Der in diesem Gerät inte-
grierte Akku darf nicht in
den Hausmüll. Das Gerät
muss mit dem eingebauten
Akku fachgerecht entsorgt
werden.

This trimmer is state-of-the-art, innovative and design-oriented. During develop-
ment, the requirements for professional trimmers in a hairdressing salon were tak-
en into consideration. The trimmer is particularly suitable for precise cutting of hair
contours.
1 Safety
Please read the user instructions carefully, especially the chapter on “Safety”,
before using the appliance. This will protect you from possible dangers and the
appliance from damage due to incorrect operation.
Keep these user instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you pass on
the appliance to someone else, be sure to hand over these user instructions as
well. The user instructions are a part of the product.
Explanation of warnings
If necessary, the following warnings will be used in these user instructions:
DANGER! High risk: failure to observe this warning may result in inju-
ry to life and limb.
WARNING! Moderate risk: failure to observe this warning may result
in injury or serious material damage.
CAUTION: low risk: failure to observe this warning may result in minor injury or
material damage.
NOTE: circumstances and specifics that must be observed when handling the

Intended use

Foreseeable misuse
~Use the trimmer exclusively for cutting human head hair, and never for other

play with the plastic bags. There is a risk of suffocation.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture
The following safety instructions apply to the connected charging station.
~Do not use this appliance close to baths, showers, washbasins or other
receptacles containing water.
~Never place the appliance anywhere that it could fall into water while plugged
in.
~If the appliance has fallen into water, pull out the power supply unit immedi-
ately, and only then remove the appliance from the water. Do not use the
appliance again, and have it checked by a specialist workshop.
~Protect the appliance from moisture, water drops and water splashes.
~The appliance, the connecting cable and the power supply unit must never be
immersed in water or other liquids.
~If liquid gets into the appliance, remove the power supply unit immediately.
Have the appliance checked before reusing.
~Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
~After use, pull out the power supply unit. The proximity of water represents a
hazard even when the trimmer is not being charged.
~Installation of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated residual operat-
ing current of no more than 30 mA is recommended to provide additional pro-
tection. Ask your electrician for advice. The installation should only be carried
out by a qualified electrician.

DANGER! Risk of electric shock
The following safety instructions apply to the connected charging station.
~Check the appliance and the connecting cable regularly for damage. Do not
use the appliance if the appliance or the connecting cable has any visible
damage, or if the appliance has previously been dropped.
~Only connect the power supply unit to a properly installed and easily accessi-
ble power socket, whose voltage corresponds to the specifications on the
type plate. The power socket must continue to be easily accessible after the
appliance is plugged in.
~Lay the connecting cable such that no one can step on it, get caught on it, or
trip over it.
~Please be careful not to damage the connecting cable:
– Keep the connecting cable away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
– Ensure that the connecting cable cannot be trapped or crushed.
– Do not wrap the connecting cable around the appliance. The cable may
break.
~To pull the power supply unit out of the power socket, always pull on the
power supply unit, and never on the connecting cable.
~Pull the power supply unit out of the power socket, …
– after every use,
– after each charging process,
– if there is a fault,
– before you clean the appliance and
– during thunderstorms.
~Ensure that the power supply unit cannot be plugged in again during clean-
ing.
~To avoid any hazard, do not make modifications to the appliance. You also
must not replace the connecting cable yourself. Repairs must be carried out
exclusively by your authorised customer service centre.
~Use only the original mains plug adapters.
~Use only original spare parts, which you can order from the customer service
centre (see the back of these user instructions). If the connecting cable is
damaged or crushed, it and the plug-in power supply device need to be com-
pletely replaced.
DANGER from batteries
~Protect the battery against mechanical damage. Fire hazard!
~Do not expose the appliance to direct sunshine or heat. The ambient temper-
ature should not be lower than -10 °C or higher than +40 °C.
~The charge contacts on the appliance must not be connected by metallic
objects.
~Charge the appliance’s built-in battery exclusively using the original acces-
sory parts.
~The appliance must only be operated with the original power supply unit
T10.
~If the electrolyte solution leaks out of the battery , avoid contact with eyes,
mucous membranes and skin. Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water
and consult a doctor. The electrolyte solution can cause irritation.
~Only model OT14: the appliance contains a lithium ion battery.
Models OT10 / OT11 / OT11B: the appliance contains a NiMH battery.
– The battery cannot be removed!
– This appliance must not be opened!
– The appliance must be disposed of properly with the battery installed.

DANGER! Risk of injury from cutting
~Do not use the appliance with a damaged or fractured cutter head.
~The cutter head must not be disassembled.
~While the appliance is switched on, do not touch the cutter head.
~The appliance must be switched off:
– when mounting or removing an attachment comb.
– when you put down the appliance, e.g. when you interrupt the cutting pro-
cess briefly.
– before removing or mounting the cutter head,
– before cleaning the appliance.
~Use only the original attachment combs.
~Do not use a damaged attachment comb.
WARNING! Risk of material damage
~The cutter head is a precision part. Protect it against damage.
~In order to avoid increased wear of the cutter head and motor, the cutter head
must be cleaned and oiled regularly (see “Cleaning and care” on page 15).
~Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
~Protect the appliance against heat (e.g. direct sunlight), chemical substances

2 Preparation
2.1 Removing the sticker from the cutter head
The sticker above the mounting screw 16 shows you whether you can remove
the cutter head without a tool. Remove this sticker before using the appliance for
the first time.
2.2 Changing the mains plug adapter
The appliance is supplied with a mains plug adapter 10. Other mains plug adapt-
ers can be ordered from the customer service centre (see service address on the
back of these user instructions).
DANGER!
~Use only the original mains plug adapters 10.
~Pull the power supply unit 8out of the power socket before you change the
mains plug adapter 10.
~Ensure that the power supply unit 8cannot be plugged in again during
cleaning.
NOTE: ensure that you do not bend the small pins on the power supply unit 8.
1. Hold down the release key 9while pulling off the
mounted mains plug adapter 10.
2. Insert the required mains plug adapter 10 into the
power supply unit 8. Ensure that the release
key 9is located at the top and audibly clicks into
place.
2.3 Charging process
The appliance is not yet ready for operation when delivered.
Before you plug the trimmer into the power socket, check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage specified on the type plate.
Before first use, the appliance should be charged for 2 hours.
"Overcharging" the appliance is not possible.
DANGER!
~Before plugging in the plug-in power supply device 8, check that the voltage
of the power socket corresponds to the specifications on the type plate.
– Insert the plug-in power supply device 8into a power socket.
– Place the charging station 2on a level surface.
– Ensure that the on/off switch 4is set to 0 during charging.
– Place the appliance into the charging station. It positions itself automatically
and starts charging. The green charge status display 3flashes during the
charging process. When the battery is fully charged, the charge status display
will be lit continuously.

3Operation
3.1 Switching ON /OFF
– Image A : in order to switch the appliance on, push the on/off switch 4 forwards.
– In order to switch the appliance off, push the on/off switch to position 0.
NOTE for model OT11B:
With model OT11B, the LED lighting 5for the cutting area automatically switches
on/off.
3.2 Comb attachment
– Image B: switch off the trimmer and push the comb attachment 12 onto the
cutter head 6until it clicks into place.
– You can then cut hair with the trimmer as usual.
– Image C: the comb attachment 12 can be set to 4 different cutting lengths
(approx. 3 to 6 mm). To do this, push it to the desired position on the cutter
head 6.
The further the comb attachment 12 is pushed inwards, the shorter the cutting
length.
4 Cleaning and care
To ensure perfect functioning and full performance of your trimmer, clean and oil the
appliance regularly.
Cleaning and oiling the cutter head
If you use the appliance regularly, the cutter head 6should be thoroughly
cleaned and oiled once a day.
– Switch off the appliance.
– Remove the comb attachment 12, if necessary.
– Remove any hair using the cleaning brush 14 .
– Image D: oil the areas where the bottom and top cutting blades touch.
NOTE for model OT11B: when oiling, ensure that no oil gets in between the
housing and the LED lighting 5.
Removing the cutter head
The cutter head 6should additionally be removed at regular intervals, in order
to carefully remove residual hair particles from the interior using the cleaning
brush 14.
Models OT11 / OT11B / OT14
– Ensure that the on/off switch 4is set to 0.
–Removing: image E: press on the top of the cutter head 6with your thumb to
push it off the appliance.
–Mounting: place the cutter head 6on at the bottom and swing it upwards
until it clicks into place.

Model OT10
– Ensure that the on/off switch 4is set to 0.
–Removing: remove the Allen key 15 from the base of the charging station 2
to loosen the screw 16 of the cutter head 6.
– Image F: loosen the screw 16 completely and remove it.
– Press the cutter head 6upwards with your thumb to remove it.
–Mounting: place the cutter head 6on at the bottom and swing it upwards.
Press on the cutter head 6until it clicks into place and screw it on tight.
Replacing the cutter head
The cutter head 6is a wear part. Despite good care, the cutting performance will
decrease at some point. Replace the cutter head when this happens. The cutter
head can be ordered separately as a spare part from the customer service cen-
tre. The address and telephone number of your nearest customer service centre
can be found on the back of these user instructions.
Cleaning the appliance
– From time to time, wipe the appliance with a slightly moistened cloth, then rub
dry.
Cleaning the charge contacts
If the charge contacts 7on the appliance or the charge contacts 1on the charg-
ing station 2are dirty, the charging may be interrupted or obstructed.
– Clean the charge contacts 7with a piece of cotton wool or cloth dipped in
alcohol or methylated spirit.
Care of the battery
– Ensure that the appliance is not left on when putting it aside, if the battery is
empty.
– Ensure that the appliance is switched off (on/off switch is set to 0) when plac-
ing it in the charging station 2.
5 Service
Given the present state of the art, components of electrical appliances are sub-
ject to a certain degree of wear over time.
In order to ensure proper functioning and safety of the appliance, a regular check
must be performed in accordance with the country specific legal provisions -
though at least once every 2 years.
6 Disposal
The battery integrated into

7 Warranty
Dear customer,
we offer you a one-year statutory warranty from the date of purchase for our prod-
ucts with regard to all deficiencies caused by material or manufacturing defects.
• If contrary to expectations a defect of this appliance occurs within our war-
ranty period, we will, at our discretion, either repair the faulty product or pro-
vide a fault-free replacement.
• These services are only provided upon presentation of the original invoice or
receipt. Keep the receipt for proof of the date of purchase.
• The warranty does not cover damage caused as a result of improper use or by

• The warranty obligation is also void in the event of incorrect interference with
