To the left and right of the Buttons are two red LEDs. These can give you a visual output when
receiving signals.
2.2.4 Display
The lit display shows all important informations about the WAV-Player and tracks, as well as show
you the menu.

2.2.5 Antenna and Antenna socket
The antenna is used to receive data. During use it is connected to the antenna socket (BNC-socket) of
the WAV-Player. You should prevent jamming the antenna or damaging it in any other way, even
when not in use and just storing the device.
During use, make sure the antenna is firmly mounted and upright.
You may also use a magnetic antenna, which should be placed on a metallic surface.
2.2.6 On and Off switch
By use of this Wip switch, the Player can be turned on or off. "O" = OFF, "I" = ON. Do not forget to
turn the device off after use, since the battery may deep discharge otherwise.
2.2.7 Charging socket
The 3 pole female socket is used to charge the device with a fitting charger. The device itself must
not be switched on during charging.
Furthermore, the device can be supplied with an external power supply hooked up to this socket. The
external supply uses Pin 2 (Plus) and Pin (1). The source should not exceed 12VDC, since the device
may be damaged otherwise.
2.2.8 Audio-output
Symmetrical Audio output. XLR 3 pole L and R, can be bridged to asymmetrical.

4 Using the RX-WAV-Players
4.1 Switch on/off
By use of the Wip switch, the Player can be turned on or off. "O" = OFF, "I" = ON. Do not forget to
turn the device off after use, since the battery may deep discharge otherwise.
4.2 Controling the receiver
Controlling is done by use of an Explo-transmitter, and Box and channelnumber. By default, the
player is set to box 50. The Boxnumber can be changed in the menu of the player.
4.2.1 Audio-Files
Only WAV-files may be used. (PCM 16bit, 44.1kHz; 32Bit and 32Bit floating does not work!)
Up to 60 different tracks can be used by the Player. The name of the first audiofile on the Memory
card must start with "01", all others are not important (eg.: "01 - Eye of the tiger" or "01 Eye of the
tiger").
4.2.2 Starting Audio-Files
Audiofiles can be started using their Box and channelnumber. Box number must be the one of the
Player. The channelnumber is the same as the tracknumber. For example, channel 1 starts track "01"
or channel 12 starts track "12".
The first 60 files can be accessed directly by their channelnumbers. All others can only be accessed by
using the "Skip forward" function.

10
4.2.3 Channels with special functions
Some channelnumbers control important WAV-Payer functions. The following ignition channels are
set by default:
4.2.4 Control in FSK- Mode
If the transmitter is in FSK- Armed Mode, the RX-WAV can be started and paused by used of the "Z"
button. By pushing "-" and "z" at the same time (but "-" before), a stop is made. Repeating this action
will result in a reset on the receiver ( the first Track will be played at the next Play command).
4.2.5 Positioning your devices:
If possible, position the transmitter and receiver in a way, that no objects stand between them.
Avoid objects made of metal especially (eg.: Steelconcrete buildings, metal fences, Tanks, Ships,...) as
well as mountains.
Theoretically, it is possible for a receiver to receive a signal behind such objects, since radiowaves
break or reflect on objects, and thusly an indirect contact can be made, however the full range can
only be used by a direct line.Under no circumstance should Transmitter or receiver be covered by
metals, since this materials could shield them from radio waves.
Ideally, all devices should be on a heightened position. (eg. Transmitter on a table)Because of the
radiance, all antennas shoudl stand up straight (vertical). If possible we recommend using magnetic
antennas.
