Do not touch the cooling fin with bare hand during maintenance.
Because the cooling fin is sharp, if you touch it, your hand may be injured.
Do not touch the cooling fin with bare hand.
Use flammable or combustible liquids with great care.
If flammable or combustible liquids (methanol, etc.) are left at above room
temperature (or at lower temperature for certain liquids), they are vaporized
and may result in ignition or combustion due to any ignition source.
Before use, be sure to let fresh air into the room and make sure that the room
is well-ventilated.
CAUTION
WARNING
Because the APSL-1810 is not explosion-proof, use it safely with a great care.

&1. Conditions
䞉For performance, the values are based on the following conditions: room temperature at 20 Υ;
AC 220 V 50Hz; stirring in the tank at 800 rpm; coolant is ethanol (about 99.5 % of purity).
䞉At room temperature of 35 Υ, the reached cooling temperature is -78 Υunder above conditions.
䞉The reached cooling temperature, accuracy of temperature adjustment, and rpm vary with operating
conditions such as supply voltage, type of coolant, heat load, and room temperature, etc.
They may not fall within this range due to other operating conditions.
䞉We recommend continuous operation should be limited to one week (168 hours) to keep
the performance (to avoid adverse effect by mixture of moisture and heat transfer media, and adhesion
of frost).
2. Temperature adjustment (operating) range is -80 to 0 Υ, but you can set the upper limit up to +20 Υ
for heating.
䞉Because the refrigerator does not operate at the set temperature of 0.1 to 20 Υ(except for certain
conditions),
the temperature cannot be well controlled. Set to this range for heating purpose only.
䞉Make sure that the temperature is set below the room temperature. Otherwise, liquid such as ethanol
will be volatilized.
3. Dimension does not include protrusions.

䖃㻯㼛㼚㼐㼕㼠㼕㼛㼚㼟
䞉For performance, the data is based on the following conditions: AC220V 50Hz; stirring
in the tank at 800 rpm; coolant is about three liters of ethanol; cover with shutter is used.
䞉The refrigerator was not warmed up.
If the refrigerator is operated under cold condition, its cooling capacity is inconsistent immediately
after the cooling is started.
Because the specified cooling capacity is achieved as the warming up goes on, time to cool
may be a little different.
䖃㻺㼛㼠㼑㼟
䞉Reached cooling temperature, time to heat/cool may vary with operating conditions
such as supply voltage, type of coolant, heat load, stirring in the tank at room
temperature, space for installation.
䞉At room temperature of 35 Υ, the reached cooling temperature is -78 Υ.
䡡If ethanol (or methanol) is used for long time, it absorbs moisture and the performance
may not be able to be kept at low temperature. Replace with fresh liquid regularly.
䡡The APSL-1810 can switch its cooling capacity and performs cooling and temperature control.
䞉During the cooling process, the cooling capacity is switched at certain temperature before
the set temperature is reached. In this case, you will hear a sound from solenoid valve, and
if the room temperature is high, the temperature may temporarily rises. The liquid will be
cooled down as the time passes.
䡡In case of heating within the range of temperature adjustment, if the set value is 50 Υ
higher than the present temperature, the refrigerator will be turned off. However, if it is not,
the heating goes on with the refrigerator turned on.
䞉In case of temperature setting at which the refrigerator is on, the heating curve will be different from
above.

䖃Heat Isolating Lid for Continuous Operation
After use of the APSL-1810, slight opening may still exist
even though the cover with shutter is closed.
During operation at low temperature, the water tank will
be frosted or the coolant will absorb moisture.
This lid can prevent from frost on the water tank and
absorption of coolant during stand-by condition.
* It can be used for cover with shutter for PSL-1400.

䖃Cover for Heat Exhaust
Heat is exhausted from the right side of the APSL-1810.
If you use two units of APSL-1810 side by side, one unit
sucks hot exhausted air from the other and cooling
performance of the former unit is degraded.
With cover for heat exhaust, hot air is exhausted from
rear or top of the unit and degradation of cooling
performance is mitigated.

Refrigerator high
pressure switch
While the refrigerator runs, if the high
pressure becomes abnormal, alarm
lamp lights up and the indicator
indicates “oVL”, and refrigerator and
heater stop.
࣭Operating ambient temperature exceeds 35 deg.C.
࣭Thermal load exceeding the cooling capability
caused temperature rise in the tank.
࣭Refrigerator fan does not rotate.
࣭Dust adheres on air filter.
࣭Incorrect use of temperature indication correction.
࣭Supply voltage fluctuation exceeds the rating
(s10㸣).
Overload relay for
refrigerator
When the refrigerator runs under
overload (overheat) condition, alarm
lamp lights up and the indicator
indicates ” oVL” , and refrigerator and
heater stop.
࣭Causes of operation for refrigerator high pressure
switch as mentioned above, and overloaded
operation (start) of refrigerator.
࣭Supply voltage fluctuation exceeds the rating
(s10㸣).
Overheat protector
for tank
When the temperature in the tank
exceeds the value set for overheat
protector (40 deg.C), refrigerator and
heater stop.
࣭Heater was kept energized, because temp.
regulator was out of control or by ON failure of
Heater SSR.
࣭Increased from low temperature while the stirrer
stopped (set to “0rpm” or stopped by Stirrer
Restart key).
Memory error Control board fails and the control
stops.
࣭Operating ambient temperature exceeds 35 deg.C.
࣭Influenced by noise, etc.
