Step 1. First off, you will nee to eci e if you're going to mount your camera

Step 4: Next, you will nee to connect the communication wires: Please insert the

calle your RS-485 communication wires an these will be ran back to your DVR

wires use here o not nee to be real robust. In our example, we simply use
18/2 stran e power wires, but you can actually use speaker wires or the thin

polarity oes matter so please ensure that you got the positive an negative wires

DVR or PTZ controller may have ifferent "labels" (instea of A an B) for the RS-
485 connection. Some may have RX+ an RX- while others have just + an -,
whatever it is, please ensure that you put the positive wire into the positive input

Configuring your DVR/PTZ Controller and
EYEsurv ESC-Z30
Introduction:
This tutorial will explain how to get your DVR/PTZ Controller an
your Z30 camera communicating with each other by matching up three things:
Camera ID, Protocol, Bau Rate. This tutorial is necessary in the connection
process, so please, follow each step thoroughly to get your camera an DVR
connecte properly.
Opening The Menu- Now we will nee to check the settings on the camera, o
this by pressing the "Menu" button on the back of the camera, this will bring up
the Setup Menu on your screen.

Controlling the camera from your DVR or PTZ Controller:
All DVR's an PTZ controllers are ifferent. Some DVR's o not have PTZ controls
on them. Before attempting to set up your DVR to "talk" to your camera, make
sure the DVR has PTZ controls. To configure your DVR or PTZ controller please
make sure it has the following settings:
Pelco D Protocol: Pelco D is generally one of the protocols that PTZ controllers
an DVR's on the market to ay can support. It is very wi ely use for most PTZ
an Zoom cameras. Go ahea an set your PTZ controller or DVR to PelcoD as
this is the only protocol that this camera can support an cannot be change .
Camera ID: The camera ID is use to ifferentiate between multiple PTZ or zoom
cameras connecte to your evice, also allowing the evice to know which one to
control. In our example we have selecte Camera ID 001, if you choose to use a
ifferent camera ID be sure to not only set it on your DVR/PTZ controller but also
on the camera itself. Make sure that your DVR/PTZ Controller an the camera
have the same exact camera ID.

Baud Rate: The bau rate is the communication language spee that the
DVR/Controller uses to communicate with the camera. In our camera example
we use 2400. This camera also supports 4800 an 9600 bau rate as well.
Whatever Bau rate you choose on the camera, be sure that it is exactly matche
on your DVR or PTZ controller.
Basic Remote Controlling of the camera: After you get the Protocol, Bau Rate,
an Cam ID all matche up between your camera an DVR/PTZ controller you are
rea y to start controlling your camera from the DVR or PTZ controller. This is as
easy as opening up the PTZ controls on your DVR an simply selecting the zoom in
an out an focus icons. If it's a PTZ controller, simply push the zoom an focus
buttons. Please note that the menu cannot be called up remotely from the DVR
or PTZ controller so please ensure that you have your desired settings upon
installation.
Controlling the camera directly from the
camera

control it from the back of the camera. This is goo for testing an configuration
