Before you start…
•Please ensure you have thoroughly read and understood these
instructions and the safety notes before commencing installation.
•make sure that the roller shutter in the package has not sustained
any major transport damage, and if so, photos must be taken and
sent to us via email or post.
•The safety and installation instructions must be followed
accurately. Failure to do so will result in a void warranty.
•These instructions are designed for you to easily install your roller
shutter using simple tools. However, call us on 1800 633 136 if you
are in any doubt about how to install and operate the roller
shutter or about any safety issues.
•The wiring of 240V AC Electric Motors should be conducted by a
qualified electrician according to local and national standards and
regulations.
•Wear personal protective equipment before you start to help avoid
self-injury. For example: safety glasses, safety boots, ear plugs,
hard hats, long sleeves, gloves, etc.
•The installation videos are also available on our website:

Step 1: Unwrap the pelmet box and guides and put them on the ground.
Step 2: Remove the front cover by sliding it out.

Step 3: Make sure the end plate legs are in place on both sides. If not, slide them in place.
Step 4: If window sill is inclined, measure the angle of window sill using a bevel.

Step 5: Mitre the bottom of the shutter guide to follow the angle of the window sill.
Step 6: Do the same for the other shutter guide as well in mirrored orientation.

Step 7: Use the proper paper template to estimate the final position of the pelmet box and securing points. Fold the
template and place the guide over the shaded area on the paper template.
Step 8: Place shutter guide in the position you require to fit making sure that you are clearing window mullions for when the
roller shutter has to operate.

Step 9: Mark the securing point for the pelmet box and the hole for the DC motor cable on the wall. Remember that the
hole for the cable is only needed on one side.
Step 10: Mark at least 3 fixing points on the shutter guide approx. 100 mm from the top and bottom and distribute the
holes approx. 400~500 mm apart making sure you do not place the holes where the mortar is.

Step 11: Put the shutter guide back on the ground and use the 6.5 mm drill bit to drill holes all the way through on the
points you have marked. Do the same on the other shutter guide.
Step 12: Then change the drill bit to 10 mm and ONLY drill through the front part of shutter guide on all holes. Do not drill
all the way through.

Step 13: Put one of the shutter guides on the wall and mark the holes on the wall.
Step 14: Use the 6.5 mm masonry drill bit to drill holes at 35 mm depth on the wall for all fixing points including the pelmet
box fixing point.

Step 15: Use the 12 mm masonry drill bit to drill a hole diagonally for the DC motor cable through the exterior wall to get
the cable into the wall cavity. Do not drill through interior wall.
Step 16: Put the wall plugs in place for fixing points.

Step 17: Use the template for the other side as well to mark the securing point for pelmet box. Also mark the shutter guide
fixing points on the wall.
Step 18: Use the 6.5 mm masonry drill bit to drill holes at 35 mm depth on the wall for all fixing points including the pelmet
box fixing point.

Step 19: Put the wall plugs in place for fixing points.
Step 20: Slide the shutter guides onto the end plate legs and secure them with the supplied rivets in the pre-drilled holes.

Step 21: Shutter is now ready to be secured on the wall. Put one hand underneath the pelmet box and the other holding
the shutter guide. Avoid tilting the guides as this may break the legs.
Step 22: For lifting the shutter, two people will need to hold the assembly on both sides and lift at the same time to place it
inside the opening.

Step 23: Secure the shutter guides using the provided screws.
Step 24: Before wiring the DC motor, the roller shutter must be closed to have access to feed the cable into the wall cavity.
Connect the motor temporarily by using the battery handset and handset holder to operate and close the roller shutter.
[Note: Make sure your battery handset is charged]

Step 25: With the shutter closed, unscrew the protective plate and slide it over the axle. Feed the wire through the drilled
hole into the wall and screw the protective plate back in place.
Step 26: Use the provided paper template with the handset holder to mark the centre and fixing points on the wall inside
the house.

Step 27: Depending on your internal wall type, you may need special plugs for securing the handset holder on the wall.
Step 28: Drill a hole in the centre for the cable.

Step 29: Use a hooked wire to fish the cable out of the wall.
Step 30: Use the provided instructions with the handset holder for the correct left-side or right-side connection of the
wires.

Step 31: Secure the handset holder on the wall and put the cover back in place. Now you can put the battery handset inside
the holder and it is ready to use.
Step 32: With the shutter closed, secure the pelmet box.
