factory. IN TRANSIT DAMAGES ARE NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. DO NOT INSTALL OR
ATTEMPT TO OPERATE THIS UNIT IF IT HAS BEEN DAMAGED.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Read and keep these nstruct ons.
• Heed all warn ngs and follow all nstruct ons conta ned w th n th s manual.
• Do not use th s un t near water.
• Clean only w th dry cloth.
• Do not block any vent lat on open ngs. Install n accordance w th the manufacturer’s
nstruct ons.
• Do not nstall near any heat sources such as rad ators, heat reg sters, stoves, or other
apparatus ( nclud ng amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polar zed or ground ng-type plug. A polar zed plug
has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third
grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided
plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
• Protect the power cord from be ng walked on or p nched part cularly at plugs, conven ence
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
• Only use attachments/accessor es spec f ed by the manufacturer.
• Unplug th s apparatus dur ng l ghtn ng storms or when unused for long per ods of t me.
• Refer all serv c ng to qual f ed serv ce personnel. Serv c ng s requ red when the apparatus
has been damaged in any way, such as when the power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid
has been spilled or ob ects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to
rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
• Operate the product only w th the voltage spec f ed on the un t. F re and/or electr c shock
may result f a higher voltage is used.
• Do not mod fy, k nk, or cut the power cord. Do not place the power cord n close prox m ty to
heaters and do not place heavy ob ects on the power cord and/or the product itself, doing so
may result in fire or electrical shock.
• Replace the protect ve cover over the speaker term nals after nstallat on. Do not touch the
70V speaker terminals as electric shock may result.
• Ensure that the safety ground term nal s connected to a proper ground. Never connect the
ground to a gas pipe, as a severe explosion and/or fire may result.
• Be sure the nstallat on of th s product s stable, avo d slanted surfaces as the product may
fall and cause in ury, property damage, electrocution and/or fire.
• Note when the un t s turned off t s not completely d sconnected from the wall AC power
outlet. Do not open the cover unless the device is unplugged from the wall AC power outlet.

Congratulat ons and thank you for purchas ng a Factor Electron cs product. The
Factor Electron cs VC-6 s a profess onal qual ty mpedance match ng speaker
selector that prov des unmatched aud o qual ty and durab l ty. The VC-6 prov des
s x h gh f del ty speaker zones w th nd v dual zone on/off, ampl f er A/B sw tch ng
and prec se volume control n each zone. The VC-6 s very easy to nstall and
operate. Please read th s ent re manual to get the most from your VC-6.

Installati n
The VC-6 s des gned to work w th s x pa rs of e ght ohm speakers. Always use
good qual ty 12-16awg stranded copper speaker w re for all connect ons.

Front Panel Operation
1. one 1-6 Volume, these six rotary volume controls control the output level to each zone.
2. Amp A/B/Off Selector, these six three position toggle switches select between amplifier
A/B or off individually for each zone.
Rear Panel Operations an Connections
1. one 1-6 outputs, these six removable terminal block connectors accept 12-16awg wire.
2. Amp A/B inputs these two removable terminal block connectors accept 12-16awg wires.
3. Use caution attaching the wires to the terminal block connectors to insure the wires do
not short between connectors.
5. Color coding: Green = Inputs, Red = Outputs.
6. Using 8ohm minimum impedance speakers will reflect an 8ohm overall impedance to your
connected amplifier. Using 4ohm speakers will reflect a 4ohm minimum impedance to your
Connected amplifier.
Caution: Always check your amplifiers minimum impedance to make sure your amplifier is
capable of working with the VC-6.

Warranty
Factor Electronics products (VC-6) are warranted to be free from defects in
workmanship and materials for a period of (1) year without charge for parts or labor.
This warranty applies only to the original owner. The owners responsibilities are to provide proof
of purchase and transportation to the dealer the unit was purchased from or transportation to Factor
Electronics. This warranty does not apply to units that have been subject to misuse, abuse, neglect
or improper installation, and does not apply to repairs or alterations made by unauthorized persons.
This warranty specifically excludes responsibility for consequential damage. Retention of your
original bill of sale is required to obtain service under the terms of this warranty.
