Safety Precautions
▪Improper handling of Lithium Ion Batteries may result in injury or damage or death
from electrolyte leakage, heating ignition or explosion.
▪To ensure safety, consult with Falco regarding the charge and discharge
specifications, equipment structure, warning labels and other important details
when designing equipment to use Falco rechargeable lithium ion batteries.
11

Safety Precautions
▪Never charge the battery above 42V;
▪Never reverse charge the battery;
▪Never heat or incinerate the battery;
▪Never pierce, crush or cause mechanical damage to the battery;
▪Never charge a battery at a high temperature or near a fire.
12

Safety Precautions
▪Never short circuit the battery;
▪Never discharge the battery below 30V;
▪Never allow the battery to get wet or be immersed in water;
▪For long periods of storage, temperature should be below 45 °C.
▪After long periods of storage, battery may require some cycling to recover
capacity.
13

Safety Precautions (Extended Storage)
▪For extended storage of the battery pack, Charge the battery with 30% - 50%
capacity (with 2-3 LEDs on);
▪Repeat the same procedure every 4 months;
▪Totally discharged battery should be recharged immediately.
14

Safety Precautions (Lowering Battery Current)
▪Avoid over-loading the electric bike or trike for over 75 kg;
▪Avoid starting the bicycle or trike from its motionless state by using electric power
alone;
▪When climbing uphill, human assist should be applied;
▪Avoid extended climbing slope of over 15° slope;
▪If riding on poor or gravel road surface, human pedaling is recommended.
15

Safety Precautions
▪If the battery is found overheating, leaking, deforming, giving out odd smell and
smoke, stop using the battery pack immediately. Put it in open area and away
from people;
