This is a stable and quick rechargeable studio flash system. Its power is
variable from 1/32 to 1. Its capacitor can discharge automatically when it
is not in use. The brightness of the modeling lamp is directly proportional
to that of the flash tube, so that you can preview the lighting effect before
taking the pictures. Besides, it contains a perfect notification design for
fully-charged and over-heat condition. When it is fully charged, it will buzz
and the indicator will be on as green. TE-D series signifies the most
durable, user-friendly and professional oriented.
i) Connect to the power supply. Turn on the lighting unit and the
modeling lamp. Then, the brightness of the flash tube and the modeling
lamp is adjustable and their lighting effect is directly proportional to
each other. If there is no need to control the brightness, you can just
turn on the flash. When the buzzer stops buzzing which means the
capacitor is fully charged, the flash can then be controlled to spark.
ii) From now on, the illuminating angle of the flash unit can be
adjusted. The result of shooting can be previewed by using the
modeling lamps.
iii) The guide number is directly proportional to the brightness of
the flash. The stepless power control can be adjusted from 1/32 to full
power for different luminosity of flash and modeling lamp.
iv) This flash unit is thermo sensitive. When the temperature is
higher than the safety standard (indicator light will be lighted by green),
the flash will be shut down. Once it is cooled down, the flash will
function again. Its purpose is to prevent the overheat.
v) There is a sync cord included in the package, which one end is
connected to the flash unit and the other end is connected to the
camera.
vi) There is a switch to turn the buzzing function on. When it is on,
it will buzz until the capacitor is fully recharged.
vii) The reflector cap is changeable. To change it, please press a
button down which is on the peripheral of the housing and turn the
reflector anticlockwise. Then, it can be removed.
viii) If the umbrella reflector is used, please insert the stem into the
umbrella installation hole which is at the bottom of the flash housing.
Then, tighten the screw of the knob.
