OPERATION
Before firstuse
• Remove all packagingmaterials,labelsand/orstickers/protective films from your
appliance.
• Check packagecontents for completeness and damage. Donot operate the
appliance if packagecontent is incomplete or appearsdamaged.Return ittothe
dealer immediately.
CAUTION: Danger of suffocation!Packagingmaterials arenot toys.Alwayskeep
plastic bags,foils and Styrofoampartsaway from babies and children.Packaging
material couldblocknose and mouth and preventbreathing.
OPERATION
Assembly
• Place the appliance ona clean, flat and stablesurface(ill.
CAUTION:
• Donot block air vent (1)orairfan(6)onthe bottom ofthe appliance.
•Donot insert any foreign objects into air vent (1 ) orairfan(6) (ill.(3D).
• Keepimmediatesurroundings of appliancefree of utensils.
• Leave at least 4 inches of free space betweensides and back ofthe appliance
and the wall(ill. CD).
• To preventaccidents, donot place the appliance on carpets,tablecloths or paper
to avoid blocking air vent (1 ) orairfan(6) (ill.GD).
• Donot place the appliance ontopofa gas stove when inuse (ill.GD). The
magneticlines can heatmetalparts ofgas stoves andmay cause accidents.
• Donot placepaper, aluminium foil, cloth or otherunsuitable and flammable
articles onthe induction plate (2).
Using the appliance
The appliance uses magnetism to transferenergy into the induction base of
cookware.Thismeans the surface of the appliancedoes not get as hot as regular
cooktops.Once you lower the temperaturesetting, the appliancecools down
immediately. Residual heatfromcookware may still be affecting the surface of
the appliance,therefore always exercisecautionwhileusing the appliance. The
appliance is easy to clean, easy to use,energyefficient and helps to control the
cooking temperaturemoreaccurately than conventionalcooktops.
CAUTION:
• Only use induction base cookware with yourappliance. Donotuse glass,
ceramic, or other non-induction basecookware.
• Donot place empty cookware on appliance(ill.GD).
•Donot placemetallicobjectssuch as knives,forks,spoons and lids onthe
induction plate (2) sincethey cangethot (ill. (ID).
•Donot placecoffeepots,enclosedcontainers, cans or similaritems onthe
induction plate (2) (ill. GD).They may heat upand pressureinside may build up
and cause accidents.
• Donot leaveapplianceunattended during operation.
• Donotuse cookware with bottom largerthan the cooking zoneindicator (3)
(8.5 inches).Alwaysplacecookware within the cookingzoneindicator(3).

OPERATION
• Appliance has defaultcountdownsetting forall functionsexcept BOIL.
Countdown will switchappliance to standbymodeautomaticallywhen it
reaches zero (refer to u Using the timer).
• Donot overload the appliance.Overloading the induction plate (2)may damage
the plastic cover and inductionplate.
• Donotuse induction cooker near any stove orinany space with open fireoran
environment with hightemperature.
• The frying pan (15) provided is intended for induction cooker use only. Donot
use itongas stove.
NOTE:
• The appliance hasa ratedpower of 1300W. Before connecting the plug (4)to
wall outlet, ensure the electricalcircuit isnot overloadedwithotherappliances.
This applianceshould always be operated ona separate 120V, 60Hzwall outlet.
• Donotuse high pressure to operate the touchcontrols onthe controlpanel(5).
Use finger padto gentlyoperatecontrols(ill.CD).
• Ifno cookware or incompatible cookware is placed onthe induction plate (2)
while temperaturefunction is selected, an acoustic warning signal is audible.
Appliance will switch to standbyafter ten seconds.
• Displayshowscountdown / timer and temperaturealternately.
• Although the inductionplate (2)is made of scratch and impact resistant
material, donotuse sharp objects for cleaning(ill. CD)and avoid causing
impacts onthe Inductionplate(2).
• All control panel (5) functionselections will produce a beepsound.
Operating instructions
• Connect the plug (4)to wall outlet(ill. CD).
• Appliance isin standbymode,indicated by four blue bars" " onthe display
(11).
• Place cookware with suitable bottom size (5- 8.5 inches) on induction
plate (2) (ill.CD). Always put foodstuff in cookwarebeforeplacing iton
induction plate(2).
• Touch ON/STANDBY (7) to turn appliance on. The greenindicator light on
the ON/STANDBY (7) controllights up (ill.CD).
•An acoustic warning signal is audible.TouchFUNCTION(14) to choosedesired
temperature settingwithin ten seconds to preventappliancefromswitching
back to standbymode(ill.
OPERATION
• Touch FUNCTION(14) to choose temperaturesettingfrom WARM to SEAR.
The display shows temperatureaccording tothe selected function. FUNCTION
indicator (10) lights up blue to indicate selected function.
NOTE: Donot selectBOILmodewhenusingoil.Only useoil when selectingFRY,
GRILL and SEAR mode.
• Touch + control (9)or- control (12) to adjust temperature of selected functions.
Refer to belowtable for possible options.
• Touch PAUSE (8)to stopheattransfer andto hold the timer or countdown.
• Touch PAUSE (8) again to resume heat transfer and timer or countdown.
Touching PAUSE (8) will not reset timer or countdown.
• After foodstuff is prepared,touch ON/STANDBY (7)to enterstandbymode. The
greenindicator light will turn off.Four blue bars" " onthe display (11) will
flash to indicate the appliance hasnot cooleddown.Aftercoolingdown, the
fourblue bars" "will be permanentlyshown onthe display.
• Disconnect the plug (4) from the wall outlet after use (ill. CD).
NOTE: If cookware is removed during operation, the appliance will stopheating
immediately. Place cookware within about 10 seconds to resume cooking,
otherwise the applianceautomaticallyswitches to stand-bymode.

NOTE:

Using the timer
• Afterdesiredfunction is set, touch TIMER(13) to activatetimer function.
Default timer setting will appear on display (11). Refer to tablebelow for more
information.
• Adjust time by touching + control (9)or- control (12) whiledisplayed time is
flashing.
• Ifno time adjustment is performed,displayed time stopsflashing and displayed
time is set.
NOTE:
• Touch + control (9)or- control(12)once to add/deduct one minute from
displayed countdown time.
• Hold + control (9)or- control (12) continuously to add/deduct time in steps of
ten minutes from displayed countdown.
• Refer to tablebelow for different timer options.
• When countdown has reachedzero(displayed as 0:00)appliance will switch to
standbymode.
• If display (11) showsflashing blue bars" "the unit is stillhot. Blue bars" "
stopflashing when unit has cooled down.

CAUTION:
•Add sufficient liquid when operating appliance on countdown or timer to

• When BOIL function is selected timer operation isnot possible.

Switching onandoff
• Connectpowercord with plug (4)to wall outlet (ill. (A)).
• TouchON/STANDBY (7)to switchappliance on.
• To switchappliance to standby mode, touch ON/STANDBY (7) whileappliance
is operating.
• Disconnect the plug (4) fromwall outlet (ill. GD).
HINTS AND TIPS
Keep controlpanel (5)and induction plate (2) always dry, clean and free ofany
residue to ensureappliance canbe operated with ease (ill. CP)).
The touch controls donot require high pressure tobe operated.

CLEANING
Proper maintenance willensuremany years of service from yourappliance. Clean
the applianceafterevery use. The appliancecontains no userserviceableparts and
requires little maintenance. Leave any servicing or repairs to qualifiedpersonnel.
CAUTION: Switchapplianceoff,disconnect the plug (4) fromwall outlet (ill. CD).
Allow all parts ofthe appliance to cooldowncompletelybeforecleaning. Donot
touch the induction plate (2) shortlyafter useor when itis still hot (ill. CfD). Always
exercise caution.
NOTE: Donot immerseappliance or powercord with plug (4)in water orany other
liquid. Donot rinse with water(ill.CD). Donot spill water orany kind of liquid into
the internalparts ofthe induction cooker. Donotuse abrasive cleaners, steel wool
or scouringpads. Dryall parts thoroughly aftercleaning,beforeusing or storing the
appliance. Ensure that no waterenters the appliance housing.
• Clean all parts ofthe applianceaftereachuse.
• Usea soft,slightlydampcloth with mild detergent to clean the appliance.Wipe
afterwards with a soft,slightlydampcloth to remove any remainingdetergent.
Repeat to removestubbornstains.
• Usea soft dry cloth or small, softbrush or mini vacuum cleaner to removedust
or dirt from theair vent (1) andairfan (6).Dust may accumulate and block air
vent (1) orairfan(6)andmay cause accidents.
CAUTION: Residue on inductionplate (2)may cause appliance to malfunction.
NOTE: Dryall parts and surfaces thoroughlybeforeuse.Make sure all parts and
surfaces are completely dry beforeconnecting the appliance to wall outlet.
Storage
• Before storage, always make sure appliance is completelycool, clean and dry.
• Store appliance indry place.
• Store appliance ona stable shelf orina cupboard,preferably inits original
packaging. To avoidaccidents,ensurethat both appliance and powercord are
beyondreach of children or pets.
