The company was founded in 2013 with the vision of establishing a new riding culture – through minimalist,
intuitive products that promote the natural feeling of riding and thus get more people excited about riding.
Today, more than 40 renowned bike manufacturers trust in the forward-looking technology of the young,
diverse FAZUA team. Development, design and production take place at the company's site in Ottobrunn near
Munich.
With the FAZUA RIDE 60, FAZUA GmbH presents an overall system that creates a particularly agile, natural
and virtually silent riding experience with its combination of power, intuitive operation and lightness. Across
all categories: RIDE 60 is the ideal support for smart commuters, enduring gravel bikers and demanding
e-mountain bikers.
The FAZUA RIDE 60 amplifies the muscle power dynamically and, at the same time, in optimum doses so that
the motor support blends in naturally with the motion sequence. The FAZUA driving experience is unique - and
this continues in the intuitive operation of the system.

Outstanding power-to-weight ratio – light and powerful
The FAZUA RIDE 60 DRIVE UNIT is particularly light, weighing just 1.96 kg for the motor, gearbox
and sensors, and very powerful with 60 Nm of torque, without sacrificing reliability. This
combination allows for handling as natural as you would expect from non-motorized bikes –
with all the benefits of an e-drive. The best of both worlds and therefore even more riding fun!
Natural driving feel – almost silent, smooth support
More sensors and optimized software enable the perfect symbiosis of driver:in and drive.
The FAZUA RIDE 60 Drive System is powerful enough to tackle the crunchiest climbs (easily)
and at the same time so natural that you quickly forget you're riding an e-bike.
Elegant integration – all components fit aesthetically and compactly into the overall system
FAZUA cooperated closely with bike manufacturers in the development of the RIDE 60 Drive
System. The primary goal was the perfect integration of the DRIVE UNIT into the respective
frame. This was achieved with a compact, rigid and stable motor mount. Less overall weight,
an elegant design and ultimately a better driving experience are the result!
Intuitive operation – minimalist, ergonomic control element
RIDE 60 is controlled via the minimalist FAZUA RING CONTROL on the handlebar. This fits
perfectly into the reduced design of the overall system, which gives all bike manufacturers
freedom of design. FAZUA does without a display, as all essential information can be read via
the elegantly integrated LED HUB in the top tube.

FAZUA DRIVING MODES
Three preset riding modes can be selected to customize the support*. They are fully customizable via the
FAZUA App. With the boost function, the support can be increased to 450 watts for a short time, regardless
of which mode you ride in.
Breeze: Smooth and constant tailwind even at low pedaling power.
River: Progressive and very sporty mode. The strength of the support precisely follows the
pedaling power: The stronger the pedal, the stronger the support from the motor.
Rocket: Powerful support that helps to overcome the steepest climbs even with moderate
pedaling power.

With medium support of 250 watts you get about 140 km or 1600 hm.

The RIDE 60 Drive System has been tailored to the needs of riders:in every detail.
The sum of the individual parts creates the particularly natural FAZUA driving experience.
FAZUA RIDE 60 DRIVE UNIT
THE HEART
The RIDE 60 DRIVE UNIT is the heart of the system. It combines
motor, gearbox, bottom bracket and sensor technology. At the
same time, it is light and quiet, powerful and compact – and
inspires with its natural driving feel. The DRIVE UNIT weighs
just 1.96 kg and can be elegantly integrated into the frame
thanks to its compact dimensions.
FAZUA ENERGY 430
THE ENERGY STORAGE
An optimum cell arrangement in a chic casing results in a
compact battery for long tours. Weighing only 2.3 kg, the
removable 430 Wh energy storage unit has an integrated
handle for easy handling. The battery is held in the frame by
a lightweight and user-friendly stainless steel rack. When

The CONTROL HUB combines the functions of the FAZUA LED
HUB and the FAZUA RING CONTROL. The ergonomic control
element allows you to adjust the driving modes, displays all
relevant information and has an ANT+, Bluetooth as well as
USB-C interface.

2.FAZUA RIDE 50
2.1 About RIDE 50
The RIDE 50 drive is based on the idea of Johannes Biechele, founder and managing director of FAZUA. His goal
was to develop a kind of new drive system that makes it possible for e-bikes to look like classic bikes and
allows for a natural ride. Thanks to their talented international team as well as the support of a strong investor
community, FAZUA succeeded in further developing the RIDE 50 Drive System to the series production stage
within 3 years and entering the market with well-known manufacturers from the bike industry.
The modern and flexible FAZUA Drive System is constantly being optimized. RIDE 50 STREET and TRAIL is the
evolution of our EVATION drive and is 100% compatible with it. While the RIDE 50 EVATION is the one-fits-all
solution and the RIDE 50 STREET is made for the road, the RIDE 50 TRAIL is suitable for all off-road categories.
The new FAZUA RIDE 50 Drive System is a true performance update with 10% more power, increased engine
efficiency and a 6% weight reduction. The sound has also become more natural and pleasant. We also added
a screwless USB cap to our TRAIL and STREET DRIVEPACKs to simplify updates with FAZUA Toolbox Software.
We have adapted the cooling of the DRIVEPACKs to the respective terrain. The RIDE 50 STREET uses airflow
cooling while the RIDE 50 TRAIL uses radiant cooling.

Its innovative design means that, even when servicing is required, a bike fitted with a RIDE 50 drive can still
be used as a conventional bike. In addition, FAZUA provides a direct support service for end customers and
supports their retail partners with interactive tools in order to minimize maintenance and servicing work on
drives.
In new developments of the RIDE 50 product family, great importance is attached to backward compatibility.
As a result, the user is always able to upgrade their e-bike with the newest products. Moreover, product
quality is extremely important to FAZUA. They regard product quality as a holistic process. In addition to the
selection of high-quality materials and components, this also includes outstanding workmanship, which is
why the company specifically chose the Munich area for their location. The RIDE 50 Drive System’s production
facilities, as well as the development department, have been located on the company premises in Ottobrunn
since 2017.

DESIGN
Thanks to its innovative design and the technology behind it, the drive system can be elegantly integrated
into the down tube. Therefore, the e-bike, at first glance, looks like an ordinary bike and is not recognizable
as an e-bike.
FEEL OF THE RIDE
FAZUA combines the natural feeling of riding with the advantages of an e-bike: The dual-sided torque and
cadence measurement in the bottom bracket ensure that the drive is fully adapted to the rider’s needs.
One step on the pedal and the motor starts! Direct response and tactful start. Depending on the mode, you
get a gentle push or a powerful starting aid to get you up to speed more quickly and easily.
Breeze: sensitive and smooth acceleration.
River: more powerful but still natural acceleration.
Rocket: strong and noticeable acceleration.
The motor automatically switches off over 25km/h (20mph). The integrated freewheel is designed in such
a way that you can reach top speeds on your own and without unnatural resistance. As soon as you fall
below the 25km/h (20mph) limit, the motor will automatically provide support once again.
With the Boost function , you can increase your power to 350W for a short time, regardless of which mode
you are in.
FLEXIBILITY
You can deactivate the system at the touch of a button and use it as a conventional bike without any
pedaling resistance. You can remove the DRIVEPACK and battery in one simple movement: This allows you
to quickly and easily convert the bike to a pedelec and back again. The down tube cover elegantly seals off
the gap in the down tube.
RANGE
The RIDE 50 software represents improved handling with more constant motor performance and increased
efficiency. The range of your battery depends on many factors and cannot be defined in generally applicable
values. The parameters of your own riding behavior, tire choice, external environmental influences, weight,
speed, and selected support mode all influence the range.
In River mode you could, for example, cover a fast road bike ride with 1400 Hm / 75 km or a
varied mountain bike tour with 600 m altitude difference / 50 km
In Breeze mode you could increase your road bike ride to 120 km.
In Rocket mode you could, for example, cover up to 850 Hm or a bike ride up to 30 km.
SOFTWARE
Our software is programmed in such a way that the motor provides gentle support when starting up.
The motor switches off just as smoothly at over 25 Km/h.

SERVICE
While the DRIVEPACK is being repaired, e-bikes with our down tube cover can still be used as ordinary bikes.
The components can be disassembled very quickly.
2.3 Use of the RIDE 50 Drive System
CADENCE
We have significantly optimized the cadence range: This provides you with noticeably more motorized
support even at higher cadence. No matter if you ride with 60 rpm on a steep uphill on a mountain bike or
with 100 rpm on a road bike, you will always get even support.
Cadence range: 55-125 rpm
TORQUE
Our drive system has torque measurement on both sides: This means the more power you apply to the
crank, the more support you get back.
INDIVIDUAL
With our Customizer (Toolbox or App), you can adjust the support relation, the ratio between rider
performance and motorized support, according to your customer’s wishes, so that the perfect mode is
available for a wide variety of terrain and riding situations.
Breeze: Gentle, constant and 100 W* strong tailwind even at low rider power.
River: Progressive and very sporty mode, for a smooth riding experience. The strength of the
support precisely follows your own power. If you ride casually, the motor only provide minor
support. If you pedal harder, the motor provides more support (210 W*).
Rocket: Aggressive support that helps you to tackle the steepest sections even with moderate
driver power (250 W*)

ENERGY 250X
We have deliberately kept our battery small and light: For a particularly long ride, you can simply pack a
replacement battery in the ENERGY bag.
After 8h, the ENERGY 250X will automatically enter a "deep sleep" mode, but can be conveniently
turned on and off via the FAZUA REMOTE BX, FX or RX (the ENERGY 250 must be manually turned
back on). It is no longer necessary to remove the battery to do this.
The ENERGY 250X can only be charged with the original FAZUA CHARGER.
At approx. 15-20% remaining capacity, support performance is deliberately reduced to prevent
you stopping abruptly.

In the event of a drive system fault that cannot be solved by a firmware update or a simple repair in your
workshop, FAZUA will carry out the repair of the defective components. Before disassembling a component,
always consider the phases of service processing.

The FAZUA Toolbox is our diagnostics software, which plays a crucial role in the event of a fault. The software

Riding behavior characteristics can be set individually in the customizer. There are two
options: Simple selection of three presets per riding characteristic and an advanced option
for advanced users, where all settings can be adjusted precisely and transparently for each
riding mode.
Data transfer is exclusively available only in the Advanced toolbox. This allows e.g. the

DEALER REIMBURSEMENT
To compensate you for your service costs, FAZUA will automatically transfer you a service allowance once
you‘ve sent us the defective component. The final amount of the dealer reimbursement depends on two
things: The actual component sent to us, and whether you‘re servicing an e-bike from your own store or
one from another dealer. This means that with FAZUA, it pays to work on e-bikes from other dealers, too!

SERVICE BUNDLE
As a FAZUA Premium Partner, you can get a service bundle via our online shop. This allows you to localize
defective components by carrying out a cross-check and these components can also be loaned to your
