For Wireless operation
The 2.4 GHz USB micro receiver is located inside the housing on the underneath
of the Penguin (J).
1. Remove the micro receiver and insert into a spare USB port of your
computer or laptop. Wait for a short time for your PC to recognise the
penguin mouse.
2. Move switch (F) on the base from ‘OFF’, downwards to the position. The
‘P’ logo will flash GREEN briefly.
For Bluetooth®operation
Make sure that your PC is Bluetooth compatible.
To choose Bluetooth operation.
1. Move switch (F) on the base from ‘OFF’, upwards to Bluetooth .
The ‘P’ logo will flash BLUE briefly
2. On your computer turn on ‘Search for Bluetooth’.
3. Press the DPI/ Bluetooth pair button for 5-10 seconds.
4. On your PC search for “Penguin 3.0 or 5.0 Mouse”
5. Click on “Penguin 3.0 or 5.0 Mouse” and connect.
6. Your Penguin should now be connected via Bluetooth. If not, press ‘remove
‘Penguin BT 3.0 or 5.0 Mouse’ and repeat same procedure to sync to
Bluetooth.

Auto power save
After approximately 20 seconds inactive - Penguin enters power save mode
After approximately 5 minutes - Penguin enters deep sleep mode
Inactive - click any button to reawaken
Note: It is advised to switch to the ‘OFF’ position if the Penguin is to be
transported as this will conserve power.
Rechargeable battery
The Wireless Penguin has an internal rechargeable battery. There may be a
certain amount of charge already in the battery.
To fully charge the battery, insert the USB end of the cable (G) into a spare
USB port of your computer and the USB-C end of the cable into the front of
your mouse (I) see diagram. Refer to the Charging Light Sequence section to
indicate the battery level.

When the charging cable is connected, a series of colored lights in the
illuminated ‘P’ logo will indicate dierent battery levels.
Penguin in ACTIVE mode:
Orange light + flashing Ice Blue light Battery charging (below 20% charge)
Orange light + constant Ice Blue light Battery charging (above a 20% charge)
Ice Blue light only Battery fully charged
Penguin in INACTIVE mode:
Orange ‘P’ light Battery charging
Orange ‘P’ light turns o once fully charged.

Plug & play
The Penguin Mouse uses Plug & Play technology. No additional software is
required.
Right & left handed use
The Penguin is set as a Right Handed mouse by default. To use with your left
hand, simply depress the raised section of the rocker switch - ‘Bow Tie’ (D) at
the front of the Penguin. This will adjust the direction of the scroll wheel.
Variable DPI [800-1200-1600-2400] - Pointer Speed
The default setting is 800 DPI. To adjust, press and release the DPI button (E)
on the base of the Penguin. The illuminated ‘P’ logo will flash to indicate the
DPI has been changed.

Precision scroll wheel with auto scroll
As well as a soft touch and feel Precision Scroll Wheel (C), the Penguin Mouse
has an Auto Scroll feature. To activate this, click the Scroll Wheel inwards or
downwards and the auto scroll is activated. Move the Penguin forwards or
backwards to start auto scrolling at the desired speed. Click the scroll wheel
again and the Auto Scroll is stopped.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Note: USB is found inside compartment on Penguin base.
• Make sure that the Penguin is charged via the USB-C charging cable.
• Make sure the switch on the underside of the base is in ‘ON’ position -
either ‘UP’ (BLUE) for Bluetooth or ‘DOWN’ (GREEN) for wireless operation.

• If using wireless, make sure your Penguin’s dongle (micro receiver) is firmly
plugged in to your computer’s USB port.
• If using wireless, try unplugging the Penguin dongle (micro receiver), then
plugging it back in again.
• If using Bluetooth, on your PC, remove Bluetooth item (Penguin Mouse)
and re-add Bluetooth device again.
• If using wireless, try holding the Penguin close to the sensor for 30
seconds whilst intermittently clicking the top button – it sometimes takes
this to get the dongle to recognise the hardware.
• If using wireless, try using a dierent USB port to connect your Penguin.
• If possible plug it directly into the computer, i.e. not through any monitors/
keyboards/hubs etc.
• If using wireless, remove the USB Dongle and turn ‘OFF’ the Penguin
switch. Reboot your computer. Now re-insert USB dongle, wait 10/15
seconds and turn Penguin switch back ‘ON’ - in ‘DOWN’ (GREEN) position.
• Although your Penguin is plug & play, make sure your computer is up to
date with the latest drivers / operating software for pointing devices
• Check that the sensor on the underside of the Penguin isn’t covered and
has a clear line of sight to the surface below. Also check that your Penguin
has not been dropped which could dislodge the laser
• Try using the Penguin on a mouse mat / unreflective surface
• Make sure the charging cable is firmly attached into the USB port of your
computer and the USB-C end is firmly pushed into the front of the Penguin.
The ‘P’ Logo should light an orange color. Recharge directly via a USB port
on your computer NOT via a multi-USB hub.
• Try your Penguin mouse on a dierent PC/laptop to check if the issue is
still present.

Health
Long periods of time at your workstation without regular breaks may cause
discomfort. Should discomfort persist, see a qualified health professional.
User advice/Maintenance
Try to avoid contact with strong medicated hand creams/sanitizer whilst
using the Penguin mouse. Regularly remove dust and dirt build-up from the
underneath of your Penguin mouse to ensure a smooth glide movement.

Fellowes, Inc. (the “Company”) warrants this product to be free from defects in
material and workmanship appearing within two (2) year from the date of the
original purchase of the product. If such a defect appears during the warranty
period, the Company will (at its sole option) either
repair or replace the defective product with no charge for service or parts or
refund the purchase price. The Company may require that the product be
returned at the customer’s expense to a location designated by
Customer Service.
This warranty applies only to the initial retail purchaser and does not cover
claims resulting from misuse, failure to follow instructions on installation and
use, neglect, use of unauthorized attachments, commercial use, use on a
current or voltage other than specified on the product, or unauthorized service
during the warranty period on conditions otherwise covered by warranty.

Pour la fonction Bluetooth®
Assurez-vous que votre PC est compatible avec la technologie Bluetooth.
Pour activer la fonction Bluetooth.
1. Placez le bouton (F) en position d’arrêt (OFF) vers le haut jusqu’à la
position Bluetooth . Le logo «P» clignote brièvement en BLEU.
2. Sur votre ordinateur, activez la fonction «Rechercher un périphérique
Bluetooth».
3. Appuyez sur le bouton d’appairage DPI/ Bluetooth pendant 5 à 10
secondes.
4. Sur votre PC, recherchez «Penguin 3.0 Mouse» ou «Penguin 5.0 Mouse».
5. Cliquez sur «souris Penguin 3.0» ou «souris Penguin 5.0», puis
«Connecter».
6. Votre souris Penguin devrait maintenant être connectée via Bluetooth.
Si ce n’est pas le cas, appuyer sur «Supprimer souris Penguin 3.0»
ou «Supprimer souris Penguin 5.0» et suivez la même procédure de
synchronisation Bluetooth.
Économie d'énergie automatique
Après environ 20secondes d'inactivité - la sourisPenguin se met en mode
«économie d’énergie».

Après environ 5minutes - la sourisPenguin se met en mode «veille renforcée».
Inactive - cliquez sur n’importe quel bouton pour la rallumer.
Remarque: il est conseillé d'éteindre la souris Penguin si vous devez la
transporter afin d’économiser de l’énergie.
Batterie rechargeable
La sourisPenguin sans fil possède une batterie interne rechargeable. Il se peut
que la batterie soit déjà un peu chargée.
Pour charger entièrement la batterie, insérez l’extrémitéUSB du câble(G) dans
un portUSB libre de votre ordinateur et l’extrémitéUSB-C du câble à l’avant
de votre souris(I) voir schéma. Référez-vous à la section «Séquence de
témoins lumineux de charge» pour connaître le niveau de la batterie.

Plug & Play
La souris Penguin utilise la technologie Plug & Play. Aucun logiciel
supplémentaire n’est requis.

Utilisation pour droitiers et gauchers
La sourisPenguin est réglée par défaut pour droitiers. Pour l'utiliser avec votre
main gauche, appuyez simplement sur la partie surélevée de l’interrupteur à
bascule - «Nœud papillon»(D) à l'avant de la sourisPenguin. Ceci ajustera la
direction de la molette de défilement.
Variable de PPP [800-1200-1600-2400] - Vitesse du pointeur
Le réglage par défaut est 800PPP. Pour modifier ce réglage, appuyez sur le
boutonPPP(E) sur le dessous de la souris Penguin et relâchez-le. Le logo
«P» illuminé va clignoter pour indiquer que le PPP a été modifié.

Précision de la molette de défilement avec réglage
d’auto-défilement
En plus d’avoir une molette de défilement de précision(C) douce au
toucher, la sourisPenguin dispose d'une fonction d’auto-défilement. Pour
l'activer, appuyez sur la molette de défilement vers l’intérieur ou vers le bas.
L’auto-défilement est activé. Déplacez la sourisPenguin en avant ou en arrière
pour démarrer le défilement automatique à la vitesse désirée. Appuyez à
nouveau sur la molette de défilement et le défilement automatique s’arrête.
GUIDE DE DÉPANNAGE
Remarque: Le micro-récepteurUSB se trouve à l’intérieur du
compartiment sur le dessous de la sourisPenguin.
• Assurez-vous de charger la sourisPenguin avec le câble de rechargeUSB-C.
• Le bouton situé sous la base doit être en position «ON» - soit en haut
(BLEU) pour le Bluetooth, soit en bas (VERT) pour la fonction sans fil.
• Si vous utilisez la fonction sans fil, assurez-vous que le dongle (micro
récepteur) de votre souris Penguin est correctement branché sur le port

USB de votre ordinateur.
• Si vous utilisez la fonction sans fil, essayez de débrancher le dongle (micro
récepteur) de votre souris Penguin, puis de le rebrancher.
• Si vous utilisez le Bluetooth, supprimez l’appareil Bluetooth (souris
Penguin) sur votre PC et réinsérez l’appareil Bluetooth.
• Si vous utilisez la fonction sans fil, maintenez la souris Penguin près
du capteur pendant 30 secondes tout en cliquant par intermittence sur
le bouton supérieur: cela est parfois nécessaire pour que le dongle
reconnaisse l’appareil.
• Si vous utilisez la fonction sans fil, essayez d’utiliser un autre port USB
pour connecter votre souris Penguin. Si possible, branchez-la directement
sur l’ordinateur (et non pas sur un moniteur/clavier/hub, etc.)
• Si vous utilisez la fonction sans fil, retirez le dongle USB et placez le
bouton de la souris Penguin en position «OFF». Redémarrez votre
ordinateur. Réinsérez le dongle USB, patientez 10/15 secondes et replacez
le bouton de la souris Penguin en position «Marche» - en bas (VERT).
• Bien que votre sourisPenguin soit Plug & Play, assurez-vous que votre
ordinateur est à jour et possède les derniers pilotes/logiciels d’exploitation
pour les dispositifs de pointage
• Vérifiez que le capteur sur le dessous de la sourisPenguin n’est pas
couvert et dispose d'une ligne de vision dégagée de la surface en dessous.
Vérifiez également que le laser de votre sourisPenguin n’a pas été déplacé,
à cause d'une chute par exemple.
• Essayez d’utiliser la sourisPenguin sur un tapis de souris/une surface non
réfléchissante
• Assurez-vous que le câble de recharge est fermement branché au
portUSB de votre ordinateur et que l’extrémitéUSB-C est fermement
enfoncée à l'avant de la sourisPenguin. Le logo «P» devrait émettre
une couleur orange. Rechargez directement via un portUSB sur votre
ordinateur et PAS par un concentrateur multi-USB.
• Essayez d’utiliser votre sourisPenguin sur un autre PC/ordinateur portable
pour vérifier si le problème persiste.

INFORMATIONS IMPORTANTES
Santé
Passer de longues périodes à votre poste de travail sans faire de pauses
régulières peut causer une gêne. Si la gêne persiste, consultez un
professionnel de la santé qualifié.
Conseils/Entretien
Essayez d’éviter le contact avec des crèmes/désinfectants pour les mains
fortement médicamenteux en utilisant la sourisPenguin. Enlevez régulièrement
l’accumulation de poussière et de saleté du dessous de votre sourisPenguin
pour assurer un mouvement de glisse optimal.

du produit. En cas de survenance d'un tel défaut au cours de la période de
garantie, la Société (à sa seule discrétion) réparera ou remplacera le produit
défectueux sans aucun frais de service ni de main d'œuvre ou remboursera le
prix d'achat. La Société peut demander que le produit soit renvoyé aux frais
du client à un emplacement désigné par le Service Clientèle.
Cette garantie s’applique uniquement à l’acheteur final initial et ne couvre
aucun dommage né d’une mauvaise utilisation, d'un non-respect des
instructions d'installation et d’utilisation, d'une négligence, de l’utilisation
