Maintenance Instruction of Replacing E18's Battery & Main Board
In order to save the shipping cost sending the defective item back and speed up the after-sales
service procedures, we hereby provide this maintenance instruction to guide sales agents or end
users to repair/renew the products’ battery or main board.
Detailed procedures read as follows:

1. Loose the two screws at the bottom; take out the rear pushbutton; then push the mullion downwards.

2-a. (Replacing battery):
By using cross-head screwdrivers, take out the two screws as shown in the following picture:
2-b. (Replacing battery):
Turn over the small main board; take out the foam pad and the battery button; stick some double faced
adhesive tape to the new battery and then put it into the battery place.
Remarks: After exchange the new battery, the double faced adhesive tape between the battery and metal
plate would become useless, so you need to change for some new. As shown below:
2-c. (Replacing battery):
Now get back to the previous two steps:
1. Close the battery button; paste on the foam pad and cover the main board (2-b).

one; put the small main board back

2. Fasten the two screws (2-a).
3-a. (Replacing main board):
By using the nipper pliers (put some fabric things on two ends to avoid any damage to the product), clip
the front pushbutton and pull out by turning upwards, then to the right to take out the front damper by
tweezers or just fingernail, see picture below:
3-b. (Replacing main board):
Take out the knob, and use cross-head screwdrivers to take out the two screws, as shown below:
3-c. (Replacing main board):
Pull out the upper cover, and take out the pushbutton, see below pictures:

to take out the knob

3-d. (Replacing main board):
Open the base button, take out the flat cable; take out the six screws and the small main board, as shown
below:
3-e. (Replacing main board):
Take out the four screws, metal plate and battery, see below pictures:

3-f. (Replacing main board):
Loose the screw nut, and use soldering iron to take out the potentiometer’s hardware plate, as shown
below:
3-e. (Replacing main board):
Use soldering iron to take out the potentiometer, and then take out the big main board, see below:
3-h. (Replacing main board):
Exchange one new main board, and assemble it according above disassembling method, from the last to
the first step.
Apply to Sales Agents or end users who have the ability to replace the battery and main board.
Remarks
After exchange the new battery, the double faced adhesive tape between the battery and metal plate would
become useless. We can provide the double faced adhesive tape if needed!
