FireWare Nimbo
Volg bij het gebruik nauwkeurig de instructies en richtlijnen, zoals omschreven zijn
in deze handleiding. Wijzig nooit de volgorde van de te verrichten handelingen. Indien één
of ander niet duidelijk is omtrent het gebruik, neem dan contact op met FireWare.
Het apparaat dient enkel gebruikt te worden door volwassen personen die op de hoogte zijn
van hetgeen in deze gebruikershandleiding staat. Het mag
alleen door deskundigen in een professionele oefensituatie worden toegepast.
Het is een oefenapparaat. Gebruik dit apparaat alleen waar het voor bedoeld is.
De locatie van het apparaat moet:
• droog zijn.
• tussen de 5 °C en 40 °C zijn.
• een luchtvochtigheid van minder dan 80% hebben.
• vrij van explosieve gassen zijn.
• Vrij van stof en vervuilde luchtdeeltjes zijn.
• minimaal twee keer zo groot als de machine zijn.
• goed geventileerd met rookvrije lucht zijn.
• vrij van trillingen zijn.
• goed verlicht zijn.
• onontvlambaar en niet gevoeilig voor hitte zijn.
• op minimaal 5 meter van elk ontvlambaar, explosie- of hittegevoelig object zijn.
• zicht van minimaal 60 centimeter hebben.
Verwijder nooit een informatief of waarschuwingslabel van het apparaat.
De fabrikant aanvaardt geen enkele aansprakelijkheid voor schade of letsel veroorzaakt
door het niet (strikt) naleven van de veiligheidsvoorschriften en -instructies in deze
handleiding, danwel door onachtzaamheid tijdens gebruik van het in dit document vermelde
product en de eventueel bijbehorende accessoires.
Gebruik dit apparaat nooit als deze beschadigd is. Indien onderdelen beschadigd zijn dienen
ze vervangen te worden door personeel van FireWare.
Gebruik alleen hulpstukken / accessoires die zijn gespeciceerd door FireWare.
LET OP: dit apparaat NOOIT gebruiken in aanwezigheid van kinderen en dieren.

Gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van uw FireWare Nimbo!
De FireWare Nimbo is speciaal ontworpen als handzaam apparaat om rook te genereren. Het apparaat
is gemaakt voor opleidingsdoeleinden en dient dan ook als zodanig te worden gebruikt.
Voor de ingebruikname dient u deze handleiding grondig door te nemen,
zodat u geheel op de hoogte bent van het gebruik, de werking en de
kenmerken van de FireWare Nimbo.

Dit elektrische apparaat is bestemd voor toepassing BINNENSHUIS.
Gebruik het apparaat alleen in stopcontacten voorzien van een randaarde, maximaal
220-240 Volt.
Laat de voedingskabel nooit in contact komen met andere kabels. Wees altijd voorzichtig
met de voedingskabel en alle verbindingen.
Maak het apparaat NOOIT open. Dit kan elektrische schokken geven en hiermee
vervalt iedere vorm van garantie.
Wanneer service of reparatie noodzakelijk is, mag dit product UITSLUITEND door een
technicus van FireWare geopend worden; dit om de kans op het krijgen van een
elektrische schok te voorkomen. Als er een probleem optreedt, koppel het product dan los
van het lichtnet en neem contact op met FireWare.
Sluit dit apparaat niet aan op een dimmer.
Schud het apparaat niet. Gebruik geen brute kracht, wanneer u het apparaat installeert of
bedient en zet het appraat niet snel achter elkaar herhaaldelijk aan en uit, dit beperkt de
levensduur van het apparaat.
Haal het apparaat altijd van de stroom af, wanneer het niet in gebruik is of voordat u het
schoonmaakt. Pak de voedingskabel alleen vast bij de stekker. Trek de stekker er nooit uit
aan de kabel.
Zorg ervoor dat de voedingskabel niet geplooid zit of beschadigd raakt. Controleer het
apparaat en de voedingskabel eens in de zoveel tijd.
Als het apparaat is gevallen of er wordt hard tegenaan gestoten, haal dan meteen de
stroom eraf. Laat het apparaat controleren op veiligheid door een gekwaliceerd ingenieur,
voordat u er weer mee aan de slag gaat.
Als het apparaat is blootgesteld aan drastische temperatuursschommelingen (bijvoorbeeld
na transport), zet het dan niet direct aan. Er kan condens ontstaan zijn en dat zou uw
apparaat kunnen beschadigen. Laat het apparaat uit, totdat het op kamertemperatuur is
gekomen.
Gebruik dit apparaat niet in de buurt van water.
Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact tijdens onweer of wanneer het apparaat gedurende een
langere tijd niet gebruikt wordt.
Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan regen of vocht om het risico van brand of elektrische schok
te voorkomen.
LET OP: koppel NOOIT andere stekkers aan het snoer van dit apparaat.

Plaats het apparaat stabiel op een vlak oppervlak en zorg dat het apparaat niet kan
omvallen.
Plaats het apparaat altijd op een goed bereikbare plaats, zodat bij de oefening het
apparaat ‘snel en gemakkelijk’ uitgeschakeld kan worden, zonder het risico te lopen dat het
apparaat omvalt.
Glycol (zoals gebruikt wordt in rookvloeistof) is een alcohol en brandt met een blauwe,
bijna onzichtbare vlam. Richt de rook nooit op sterke ontstekingsbronnen zoals vuur of
pyrotechnische eecten.
Raak tijdens en na gebruik de rookeenheid NIET aan. Deze wordt HEET.
Plaats NOOIT voorwerpen (doeken e.d.) over de rookeenheid heen als deze in gebruik is,
de rookeenheid is heet en kan schroeiplekken en brand veroorzaken.
Zorg ervoor dat de machine niet oververhit raakt.
Soms kunnen er zeer hete druppels vloeistof ontsnappen aan het mondstuk tijdens het
genereren van rook. Richt daarom nooit de rookmachine op iemand en houd 3 meter
afstand van het mondstuk.
Niet bedoeld om ruimtes mee op te warmen.
Laat het apparaat altijd voldoende afkoelen, voordat u het schoonmaakt of opbergt.
Gebruik NOOIT extra brandstoen, zoals olie of vet.
Drink NOOIT de rookvloeistof. Houd deze buiten bereik van kinderen. In geval van
aanraking met de ogen direct spoelen met veel water en contact opnemen met een
arts. Wanneer er toch rookvloeistof is gedronken, neem dan contact op met een arts. Laat
uw arts de verpakking van de rookvloeistof zien.
Zorg ervoor dat u de vloeistofdamp niet inademt, dit is schadelijk voor de gezondheid.
Als de vloeistof in de rookeenheid is geplaatst, dient het esje rookvloeistof direct te
worden afgesloten. Berg het buiten bereik van kinderen op.
Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat en de snoeren op een veilige locatie geplaatst worden, zodat
er geen personen over kunnen uitglijden, struikelen of vallen. Tape de snoeren zo nodig
vast aan de vloer.

Zorg dat de ventilatiekanalen altijd vrij zijn.
LET OP: Rook uit deze machine kan uw rookmelder activeren.
Gemorste vloeistof of druppels uit de machine kunnen gladheid veroorzaken. Dweil de
vloeistof direct op om ongevallen te voorkomen. Bovendien kunnen damp en vocht op de
machine de elektronica beschadigen.
Gebruik de machine NOOIT zonder rookvloeistof. De pomp zal schade oplopen.
Haal voor uw eigen veiligheid de spanning van het apparaat, voordat u de
rookvloeistof bijvult.
Zorg dat de rookeenheid NOOIT met andere vloeistoen gevuld wordt dan is
voorgeschreven. Dit kan het apparaat onherstelbaar beschadigen.
Houd het apparaat altijd rechtop.
Haal altijd de rookvloeistof uit de machine, voordat u hem vervoert.

Let op: zorg ervoor dat de vloeistoftank ten aller tijde schoon is, zodat er geen vuil of stof in de pomp
gezogen kan worden.
1. Zet de FireWare Nimbo op een vlak oppervlak en draai de tankdop (3) los.
2. Schenk de FireWare Rookvloeistof met behulp van een trechter in de vloeistoftank en sluit
de tankdop stevig. Eventueel gemorste vloeistof kunt u opruimen met een droge doek.
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat er geen gemorste rookvloeistof in de machine loopt. Dit kan onherstelbare
schade aanrichten.
3. Sluit de afstandsbediening aan op de ingang aan de achterzijde (7).
Let op: gebruik alleen FireWare standaard rookvloeistof op basis van water-glycol. Andere
rookvloeistof zal de verdamper verstoppen en de machine ernstig beschadigen.
4. Steek de stekker in een geaard stopcontact en zet de rookmachine aan (10). Het duurt
minder dan 2 minuten, voordat de rookmachine is opgewarmd. Tijdens het opwarmen
knipperen de led indicators op het handvat (1) en op de afstandsbediening (11). Als de
machine opgewarmd is, branden de indicatoren continu.
5. Druk op de startknop (1 of 12) om rook te genereren. Zolang u de knop op de machine
ingedrukt houdt, geeft de Nimbo rook. De machine stopt wanneer u de knop loslaat of
wanneer hij opnieuw moet opwarmen. Met de afstandsbediening stopt u de rook door
nogmaals op de startknop te drukken. Wanneer de machine opnieuw gaat opwarmen, ziet
u de led indicatoren weer knipperen.
Let op: druk nooit op de startknop als er geen vloeistof in de tank zit. Wanneer u probeert rook te
genereren, als de tank leeg is, zal de pomp onherstelbare schade oplopen! Wanneer u ervaart dat
de machine (bijna) geen rook geeft of een luid, dreunend geluid maakt, haal hem dan direct uit het
stopcontact en neem contact op met FireWare.
5. Uitschakelen
Laat de startknop los om de rook te stoppen en schakel de Nimbo uit met de Aan/uit knop aan de
achterkant (10). Laat de machine altijd volledig afkoelen, voordat u hem opbergt.
Let op: indien u de FireWare Nimbo gaat vervoeren, dient u eerst de vloeistof uit de vloeistoftank te
gieten. Zorg ervoor dat u de machine eerst laat afkoelen!

7. Nazorg
Om de prestaties van de FireWare Nimbo optimaal te houden, dient hij goed onderhouden te worden.
• Zorg dat de vloeistoftank ten aller tijde schoon is.
• Maak de machine met enige regelmaat schoon. De buitenkant kunt u schoonmaken met een
vochtige doek en mild schoonmaakmiddel. Van binnen houdt u het apparaat schoon door
hem door te spoelen met gedemineraliseerd water (zie voor de procedure hieronder).
• Let op: het is niet nodig om de spuitmond schoon te maken. Dit kan het
verwarmingselement beschadigen.
• Spoel de FireWare Nimbo regelmatig door, door middel van de volgende procedure:
Doorspoelen
Indien u de FireWare Nimbo langere tijd niet gebruikt, haal dan de rookvloeistof uit de rookmachine
en spoel de Nimbo na met demi-water. U gaat hiervoor als volgt te werk:
- Zet een trechter op de kan rookvloeistof en leeg de tank van de rookmachine door deze te
kantelen.
- Vul de tank met gedemineraliseerd water (gebruik ook hierbij een trechter) en zet de
rookmachine aan.
- Wacht tot het rode indicatielampje continu brandt en geef dan rook door middel van de
knop op het handvat of de afstandsbediening.
- Blijf continu rook geven, totdat er geen rook/damp meer uit de machine komt.
- Verwijder het eventuele restant water uit de vloeistoftank.
Doorloop deze procedure voor doorspoelen minimaal één keer per half jaar.
Elektrische apparaten, accessoires en verpakkingen dienen apart te worden ingezameld, gerecycled of
op een voor het milieu verantwoorde manier te worden afgevoerd.
Op de FireWare Nimbo zit één jaar garantie na aankoopdatum op product- en
fabricagefouten. Schade door onzorgvuldig handelen wordt niet vergoed. Reparatie vereist
deskundigheid. Het is dan ook zeker aan te bevelen het apparaat bij defecten naar FireWare terug te
sturen. De garantie vervalt indien blijkt dat het apparaat door uzelf of derden geopend is of als u zelf
of derden modicaties of aanpassingen van welke aard dan ook hebben aangebracht zonder
uitdrukkelijke toestemming van de leverancier.

Congratulations on the purchase of your FireWare Nimbo!
The FireWare Nimbo was designed specically as a hand-held device to generate smoke. The
appliance is made for training purposes and therefore also needs to be used as such.
FireWare is a FireWare bv brand name.
Prior to using it you should read this user manual thoroughly,
in order for you to be fully informed about the use, working and
the characteristics of the FireWare Nimbo.

When using this appliance closely follow the instructions and guidelines, as described in this
manual. Never change the order of the acts to be performed. In case anything concerning
the use is not clear please contact FireWare.
Only adults who are informed about the content of this user manual should use this
appliance. It may only be used by experts in a professional exercise situation.
This is a practice appliance. Use this appliance only what it is designed for.
The location of the appliance needs to be:
• dry
• between 5 °C and 40 °C.
• have a humidity of less than 80%.
• free of explosive gasses.
• free of dust and polluted particles.
• at least twice as large as the machine.
• properly ventilated with smoke-free air.
• free of vibrations.
• properly lit.
• non ammable or sensitive to heat.
• be at least 5 metres away from any ammable, explosive or heat-sensitive object.
• have visibility of at least 60 centimeters.
Never remove warning or informative labels from the unit.
The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for damage caused by not
(strictly) observing the safety measures and instructions in this manual or for
carelessness during the use of the product listed in this document and possible
matching accessories.
Never use this appliance if it is damaged. In case parts are damaged FireWare sta needs
to replace them.
Only use attachments/accessories specied by FireWare.

This electrical appliance is designed to be used INDOORS.
Only use the appliance in plugs with an earth connection, maximum 220-240 Volt.
Never let the power-cord come into contact with other cables. Handle the power-cord and all
connections with the mains with particular caution.
NEVER open the appliance. This can cause electric shocks and will cancel any kind of warranty.
In the event service or repair is required this product can ONLY be opened by a FireWare
technician; this is to prevent the risk of getting an electric shock. If a problem occurs, disconnect
the product from the mains voltage and contact FireWare.
Do not connect this device to a dimmer pack.
Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device and do not
switch the device on and o in short intervals, as this will reduce the system’s life.
Always disconnect power from the mains, when the device is not used or before cleaning. Only
handle the power-cord by the plug. Never pull out the plug by tugging the power-cord.
Make sure that the power-cord is never crimped or damaged. Check the device and power-cord
from time to time.
If the device is dropped or struck, disconnect mains power supply immediately. Have a qualied
engineer inspect for safety before operating.
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature uctuation (for example after
transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage
your device. Leave the device switched o until it has reached room temperature.
Do not use this appliance near water.
Unplug this appliance during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, Do not expose this appliance to Rain or Moisture.

Always place the appliance in an easily accessible location, so that the appliance can be
turned o ‘quickly and easily’ without running the risk of the appliance falling over.
Glycol (as is used in smoke uid) is an alcohol and burns with a blue, almost invisible
ame. Never point the smoke at strong ignition sources such as re or pyrotechnic ef-
fects.
DO NOT touch the smoke unit during and after use. It becomes HOT.
NEVER place objects (cloth, etc) over the smoke unit when it is in use as the smoke unit
is hot and can cause burns and re.
Ensure that the machine does not overheat.
Extremely hot drops of uid can sometimes escape from the nozzle during smoke
generation. So never aim the smoke generator at someone and keep a 3 meter distance
from the nozzle.
It is not intended for the heating of areas.
Always allow the device to cool down suciently before you clean it or store it.
NEVER use extra fuels, such as oil of grease.
NEVER drink the smoke liquid. Keep it out of reach of children. In case of contacts with
the eyes immediately rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor. Contact a doctor if
someone has ingested the smoke liquid. Show your doctor the packaging of the smoke
liquid.
Make sure you do not breath in the fumes of the liquid; this will damage your health.
When the liquid has been placed in the smoke unit the bottle with smoke liquid needs to
be sealed o immediately. Store it outside the reach of children.
Make sure that the appliance and the wires can be placed in a safe location so that no one
can slip, trip or fall over it. Tape the wires to the oor if necessary.
Make sure the ventilation channels are always unobstructed.

PLEASE NOTE: Smoke from this machine can activate your smoke detector.
Spilled uid or drops from the machine can be slippery. Swab up the uid immediately to
prevent accidents. Also note that, vapour and moisture on the machine can damage the
electronics.
NEVER run the machine without any uid, as the pump will run dry.
For your own safety you need to disconnect the appliance before lling up the
smoke liquid.
Make sure the smoke unit is NEVER lled with liquids other than the one prescribed.
This can damage the appliance beyond repair.
Always hold the device upright.
Always remove the smoke uid from the device before transportation.

FireWare Nimbo
Take note: Make sure the uid is clean at all times, so no dirt or dust can be sucked into the pump.
1. Position the FireWare Nimbo on a level surface and unscrew the tank ller cap (3).
2. Pour the FireWare Smoke Fluid in the uid tank using a funnel and close the tank ller cap
rmly. Clean any possible uid spillage using a dry cloth.
Take note: Make sure none of the spilt smoke uid runs into the machine. This may cause irreparable
damage.
3. Connect the remote control to the input at the back (7).
Take note: Only use FireWare water-glycol based standard smoke uid. Other smoke uid will block
the evaporator and severely damage the machinery.
4. Connect the plug to a grounded power outlet and turn on the smoke generator (10). It
takes less than 2 minutes for the smoke generator to heat up. During warming up, the led
indicators will be ashing on the handle (1) and on the remote control (11).
Once the machine is warmed up, the indicators will burn continuously.
5. Push on the starter button (1 or 12) to generate smoke. As long as you keep the button on
the machine pushed in, the Nimbo will generate smoke. The machine stops when you
release the button or when it has to heat up anew. With the remote control you can stop
the smoke by pressing the button again. When the machine starts heating up
again, you will see the led indicators blinking again.
Take note: Never push on the starter button if there is no uid in the tank. If the tank is empty
when you try to generate smoke, the pump will be damaged irreparably! If you notice the machine
is generating (almost) no smoke or is making a loud, rumbling sound, disconnect it from the power
immediately and contact FireWare.

Release the start button to stop the smoke and switch the Nimbo o at the On/o button at the back
(10). Always allow the machine to cool o completely before you put it away.
Take note: If you will be transporting the FireWare Nimbo, you must rst pour out the uid from the
uid tank. Make sure you allow the machine to cool rst!

To maintain the performance of the FireWare Nimbo, it should be properly maintained.
• Make sure the uid tank is clean at all times.
• Clean the machine on a regular basis. You can clean the outside with a moist
cloth and mild detergent. You can keep the inside of the device clean by ushing
it with demineralised water (see the procedure below).
• Let op: it is not necessary to clean the nozzle. That could damage the heating
element.
• Flush the FireWare Nimbo regularly, using the following procedure:
Flushing
If you won’t be using the FireWare Nimbo for a long time, remove the smoke uid from the smoke
generator and rinse it with demineralised water. To do this the following procedure should be
followed:
• Place a funnel on the smoke uid can and empty the smoke machine tank by toppling it.
• Fill the tank with demineralised water (use a funnel) and switch on the smoke machine.
• Wait until the red indicator light burns continuously and generate smoke by pushing the
button on the handle or the remote control.
• Continue to generate smoke until the machine no longer releases smoke/mist.
• Remove any possible water residue from the uid tank.
Repeat this ushing procedure at least once every six months.
Electric appliances, accessories and packaging need to be collected and recycled separately or
disposed o in an environmentally responsible manner.
The FireWare Nimbo has a one-year warranty against product and manufacturing faults.
Damage as a result of careless acting is not refunded. Repairs require expertise. It is therefore highly
recommended to return the appliance to us in the event of a defect. The warranty is cancelled if
it becomes apparent that you or a third party opened the appliance or if you or a third party have
applied modications or adjustments of any kind without the explicit permission from the supplier.
