1. Introduction
Original manual
This manual is FKI Fast Food Teknik A/S translation to the original instructions for TL 1301
Waffle Iron, hereinafter called the waffle iron.
Purpose
The purpose of this manual is to ensure proper installation, use, handling and
maintenance of the TL1302 US Waffle Iron.
Accessibility
The instructions must be kept in a known place for staff where it is easily accessible to op-
erators and maintenance personnel.
Knowledge
It is the employer's (owner of the waffle iron) obligation to ensure that all who use, main-
tain or repair the waffle iron, read the instructions, at least those parts of it that are rele-
vant to their work.
Additionally, all who use, maintain or repair the TL1302 US Waffle Iron, must
themselves seek information in the instructions.

3. Overwiew and application
3.1. The purpose og the waffle iron and intended use
Waffle Iron TL 1301 is intended for baking waffles with liquid batter.

3.3. Operator workplace location and layout
The waffle iron is intended for placement on a table in proper working height, and is oper-
ated from the front.
The waffle iron shall be connected to a 240 V power switch with the plug.
The Waffle iron connection must be grounded.

4. Operation
The waffle iron is switched on using the red switch on the front of the machine, then
heated to the right temperature. This takes approximately 15-20 minutes, after which the
Waffle Iron is ready for use. The top must be closed during heating.
4.1. Baking of a waffle
1. Open the waffle iron and pour a portion of waffle baking mix (use special spoon) on the
lower pan.
2. Close the waffle iron and start the timer.
3. When the alarm sounds, open the waffle iron and the baked waffle removed with plastic
or wood tool. (Never use metal tools or objects on the Teflon coated pans).
4. Wipe pans for residues of sugar and fat, before the next portion of baking mix is intro-
duced.
5. Next waffle repeat steps 1-3.
4.2. Operation of timer
Waffle iron is equipped with a fixed timer.
The timer is provided with a pushbutton ON / OFF. By press-
ing the button, a LED light, indicates that the countdown is
going on.
At the expiry of the time an alarm sounds. The alarm is
stopped by pressing the ON / OFF.
The timer is started at the same time again by pressing ON /
OFF.

4.3. Adjustment of temperature
The waffle iron is provided with an analog
thermostat, positioned at the rear of the left side,
which is adjustable between 50-250 ° C. The
temperature is adjusted by turning the thermostat to
suit to the timer.
The temperature is raised by rotating clockwise and
lowered by rotating counterclockwise.

5. Maintenance and repair
5.1. Cleaning and order
During use, it is important to wipe the pans every time a waffle has been baked. Wiping
can be done with a cloth or tissue paper. This must be done to avoid burning of sugar resi-
dues in to the surface.
Daily cleaning is carried out when the appliance has cooled down. The waffle iron is
cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. The pans are washed with warm water using a
brush.
Never use sharp tools on the pans
5.2. Removing of heat shield
The heat shield of the waffle iron can be removed for cleaning.
Lift up the heat shield from the snap locks.
The shield can be washed in the dishwasher.
5.3. Repair
Repair of the waffle iron should only be carried out by authorized personnel.
Always check that the power cable is removed from the power switch, before
opening the cabinet.The front switch does not turn off the power inside the ap-
pliance.

6. Destruction
The waffle iron is marked with the above recycling symbol. (EC Directive 2002/96/EC) and
must be disposed of in accordance with your country order.
This means that when the product becomes obsolete, you should dispose of it after the lo-
cal municipality's rules, for example in unsorted waste stream.
