The placement of your Lommy Pro T
The technology in the unit relies on GSM communication and GPS postioning via internal antennas.
Materials like concrete and most metals will dampen the GSM/GPS signals signicantly, and
placement behind such materials should be avoided.
On the other hand, the signal can pass through materials like plastic, glass ber, wood and
glass of moderate thickness.
Note: Some windshields can contain a thin coating of metal oxide, that will weaken or hinder
the signal.
Examples of good placements in the car:
• Directly under the outside of the dashboard
• The center console, between the front seats
• The top of the back seat’s backrest
• Under the rear shelf, if this isn’t made of metal
When a location has been chosen, it is highly recommended to do a test run, where the
performance under real working conditions is observed over a suitable time span.
