Quick Start Guide
Getting started
Use the diagram below as a guide for installing your Lommy Pro T.
As a standard, the cables and installation kit are enclosed with your
Lommy Pro T and will be there when you receive it.
In order to turn the unit on, briey press the on/off button. To turn off the unit, press the on/off
button for 5 seconds until the yellow LED starts blinking fast. Release the button for less than
2 seconds before pressing it briey again, after which the Lommy Pro T will switch off.
The placement of your Lommy Pro T
The technology in the unit relies on GSM communication and GPS postioning via internal antennas.
Materials like concrete and most metals will dampen the GSM/GPS signals signicantly, and
placement behind such materials should be avoided.
On the other hand, the signal can pass through materials like plastic, glass ber, wood and
glass of moderate thickness.
Note: Some windshields can contain a thin coating of metal oxide, that will weaken or hinder
the signal.
Examples of good placements in the car:
• Directly under the outside of the dashboard
• The center console, between the front seats
• The top of the back seat’s backrest
• Under the rear shelf, if this isn’t made of metal
When a location has been chosen, it is highly recommended to do a test run, where the
performance under real working conditions is observed over a suitable time span.
A 1A fuse should be fitted
close to the battery!
