Introduction
Information concerning these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have selected a high-quality product. These operating instructions are a constituent of the FBC 7 B2
irrigation computer (hereinafter referred to as the appliance) and gives you important information on the
proper use, safety, the connection and operation of the appliance. The operating instructions must be kept
near to the appliance at all times. These must be read and applied by everyone assigned to operate, and
eliminate faults in, the appliance. Keep these operating instructions in a safe place and pass them on to
any future owner together with the appliance.

Intended use
This appliance is intended ONLY for non-commercial use to control sprinklers and irrigation systems.
The appliance may only be used in outdoor areas. It is not intended for any other use or use beyond that
specified.
Claims of any kind for damage arising as a result of incorrect use will not be accepted. The risk shall be
borne solely by the user.

Safety
In this section, you will find important safety instructions for using the appliance.
The appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations. Improper use may result in personal injury
and property damage.
Basic safety guidelines
■ Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
■ This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by
persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been
told how to use the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
Children must not use the appliance as a plaything. Cleaning and user main-
tenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
■ Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not operate
a appliance that has been damaged or dropped.

■ Repairs to the appliance during the warranty period may only be carried out
by a customer service department authorised by the manufacturer. Otherwise
no warranty claims can be considered for subsequent damage.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts.
Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if original
replacement parts are used.
■ Avoid direct sunlight.
■ Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of naked flames.
■ Check the appliance and its supply lines at regular intervals for leaks and
fault-free operation.
■ After using the appliance, always close the water outlet (tap).
■ Do not aim the water jet at electrical equipment!
■ Do not aim the water jet at people or animals!
■ This appliance is not to be used for drinking water!
Handling batteries
WARNING
Danger from improper use!
In order to handle batteries safely, please observe the following safety
instructions:
► Do not throw batteries into a fire.
► Never short-circuit batteries.
► Do not attempt to recharge batteries.
► Check the condition of the batteries at regular intervals. Leaking battery
acid can cause permanent damage to the appliance. Special caution
should be shown when handling damaged or leaking batteries.
Risk of chemical burns! Wear protective gloves.
► Store batteries in a place that is inaccessible to children. If a battery is
swallowed, seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY.
► Remove the batteries from the appliance if you are not planning to use it
for an extended period.

Package contents and transport inspection
The appliance is supplied with the following components as standard:
▯ Irrigation computer
▯ Sieve
▯ 33.3 mm to 26.5 mm (G 1" to G ³⁄₄") adapter
▯ Connecting piece
▯ 2 x 1.5 V AA batteries
▯ These operating instructions
NOTE
► Check the package for completeness and for signs of visible damage.
► If the consignment is incomplete or damaged due to defective packaging or carriage, contact the
Service hotline (see the chapter Service).
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage. The packaging materials have been
selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the materials cycle conserves raw materials and reduces the amount
of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in
accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance during the warranty period so that the
appliance can be packed properly for returning in the event of a warranty claim.

Installation location requirements
For the safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following requirements must be met at the
installation location:
■ The temperature of the water flowing through it may not exceed 40°C.
■ Use only clean fresh water.
■ Connect the appliance vertically, with the hose connection at the bottom.
■ Minimum operating temperature +5°C.
Connecting the appliance
CAUTION
The irrigation computer may only be connected to a drinking water outlet with a protective appliance
that complies with at least type HD according to EN 1717 (backflow preventer with pipe ventilation).
► Suitable adapters are available from specialist shops.
NOTE
► The appliance is equipped with a union nut for water taps with a 33.3 mm thread (G 1").
The adapter

is used to connect the appliance to water taps with 26.5mm thread (G ³⁄₄").
If leaks/leakages occur when using the adapter

, wrap some Teflon sealant tape around the
thread of the water tap.
♦ Insert the sieve 11 into the union nut as shown on the fold-out page.
♦ For 26.5 mm threads (G ³⁄₄"): Screw the adapter
12
to the water tap.
♦ Screw the union nut onto the thread of the water tap or the adapter.
♦ Screw the connecting piece

onto the hose connection 9. A hose can then be connected to the
connecting piece.
♦ Open the water tap.

Inserting/replacing the battery
♦ Unlock the battery compartment 10 and pull it down and out of the appliance.
♦ Insert 2 AA size batteries (LR06/Mignon) in the battery compartment 10 . Ensure that the polarities
are correct.
♦ Carefully push the battery compartment 10 into the appliance until it locks into place.
The display 2is switched on and the system time starts at 0:00 hrs.

► Please note that the manually set irrigation time will be used next time. If you need a different

General instructions
■ Activate programming mode by pressing the Mbutton 5. You can either make all the settings one
after the other or switch between the following setting options by pressing the Mbutton 5:
― System time
― Irrigation start time 1
― Irrigation duration 1
― Irrigation start time 2
― Irrigation duration 2
― Irrigation interval
― Standby (Programming mode terminated and irrigation programme active).
■ After about 1 minute without any entries being made, the appliance returns to standby mode.
All values that have already been programmed are retained.
■ By briefly pressing the button 8you can jump back one step in the programming mode to make
adjustments to the programmed values. By pressing and holding the button 8you can terminate
programming mode and the values that have already been programmed will be retained.
Cancel irrigation
♦ Press the 8button stop irrigation that is already in progress.
Battery charge level
In the event of a low battery charge level, the symbol C flashes. All other displays are deactivated.
For as long as the symbol flashes, irrigation is not possible. Irrigation that may be in progress will be
terminated.
NOTE
► The programming is saved for 120 seconds. If battery replacement takes longer, the appliance
must be reprogrammed.

Troubleshooting
This section contains important information about fault identification and rectification.
Causes of malfunction and fault rectification
The following table will help to identify and rectify minor faults:

No indications on the display

Irrigation does not commence Water tap closed Open the water tap.
Incorrect programming Check the programming.
NOTE
► If you are unable to resolve the problem by taking any of the aforementioned steps, please contact
the Customer Service department.
Cleaning
CAUTION
Possible damage to the appliance.
Moisture can cause damage to the appliance.
► To avoid irreparable damage to the appliance, ensure that no moisture can penetrate into the
battery compartment during cleaning.
■ Clean the housing only with a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent.

Cleaning the sieve
♦ Close the water tap.
♦ Allow the appliance to drain.
♦ Unscrew the union nut from the thread of the water tap or the adapter.
♦ Remove the cone-shaped sieve 11 from the water supply in the union nut.
♦ Clean the sieve 11 .
♦ Replace the sieve 11 .
♦ Screw the union nut onto the thread of the water tap or the adapter.
♦ Open the water tap.

Storage
♦ Close the water tap.
♦ Detach the hose from the connecting piece

Disposal of the appliance
Under no circumstances should you dispose of the appliance with the
normal household waste. This product is subject to the provisions of the
European WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive
2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Please
observe the currently applicable regulations. Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.
Disposing of the batteries
Do not dispose of the batteries in the household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of used
batteries at a collection point in their town/district or at a retail store. This obligation is intended to ensure
that batteries are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. Dispose of batteries only when
they are fully discharged.
