First off, we would like to thank you for
purchasing the PEAK3 and are happy to
welcome you to the Flysurfer family.
We – the whole Flysurfer Team – will do
our best to make sure that you are, and
remain, a happy customer and fan of
our brand. The purchase of this pro-
duct is intended to make our philosophy
“everyday is a kiteday“ true for you.
This “Gear Guide“ contains important
information for your PEAK3. This includes
information on safety, handling and tips,
and also the “12 month Free-Repair“
guarantee and other services.

Willkommen in der Welt von
Flysurfer Kiteboarding!
Vorab möchten wir uns herzlich für den
Kauf des PEAK3 bedanken und freuen uns,
dich in der Flysurfer Family zu begrüßen.
Wir – das Team von Flysurfer– werden
alles versuchen, damit du ein glücklicher
Kunde und Fan unserer Marke wirst
bzw. bleibst. Der Kauf dieses Produktes
soll dazu beitragen, dass jeder Tag zu
einem Kitetag wird, frei nach unserer
Philosophie: “everyday is a kiteday“.
Dieser “Gear Guide“ enthält wichtige Infos
für den PEAK3. Sie betreffen Sicherheit,
generelle Handhabung und Tipps, sowie
den Hinweis auf Serviceleistungen und die

Caution: Only launch your kite in the powerzone in light winds as your kite
can develop a lot of power when launched this way. Make sure there are
no obstacles in your way. Upwind as well as downwind.
Wichtig: Starte einen Kite nur bei Leichtwind in der Powerzone, da er
sonst große Kräfte entwickeln kann. Halte immer einen großen Sicher-
heitsabstand in Richtung Lee ein.

Steering a PEAK3 is exactly the same as any other depower
kite on the market. We recommend that everyone who does
not know how to control a kite take a course at a qualified
school or instructor. e.g One of our partner schools. You can
find the link to our partner page using the QR code on the left.
Die Steuerung des PEAK3 gleicht der jedes handelsüblichen
Depowerkites. Wir raten jedem, der die grundlegende Bedienung
eines Kites nicht beherrscht, dringend zu einem Kitekurs, zum

10.01 Mixertest
As all lines change length over time, we
have built in a way to correct the flying
characteristics quickly and easily.
// Da sich alle Leinen mit der Zeit in
ihrer Länge verändern, haben wir die
Möglichkeit eingebaut, das Flugverhal-
ten schnell und einfach anzupassen.
Sort out the mixer. Hold the loops
next to the little flags from A and Z in
one level. // Sortiere zunächst den Mixer.
Halte dann die Schlaufen neben den
Fähnchen von A und Z auf einer Ebene.
Tension the mixer and secure the
ends of the front and steering lines
(e.g. an assistant can hold them). The
position of the lines should not change
during the test. // Bringe den Mixer auf
Spannung und fixiere die Enden der
Frontmain- und Backmain-Leine, zum
Beispiel indem sie ein Helfer festhält.
Diese Position sollte für die Dauer des
Mixertests nicht verändert werden.
Bring the B levels up to the A & Z
levels and tension the mixer. All four
knots should be at the same plain/
level in standard trim. // Nimm die
B-Ebene hinzu und spanne den Mixer.
Alle drei Knoten sollten für den Stand-
ardtrimm nun auf einer Höhe sein.
If this is not the case, you just have
to move the metal ring of the mixer
on C and/or B until all 3 knots are at
the same level. // Wenn dies nicht der
Fall ist, muss lediglich der Metallring
des Mixers verschoben werden, bis
alle drei Knoten auf einer Höhe sind.
Tip: The mixer is basically
a 2:1 pulley system. If you
want to change the B level
by one centimeter, you will
need to move the ring by two
centimeters.
Tipp: Der Mixer ist im Prinzip
ein 2:1-Flaschenzug. Möchte
man die B-Ebene um einen
Zentimeter verstellt werden,
muss der Ring um zwei
Zentimeter bewegt werden.

10.02 Care // Pflege
Flysurfer kites are very durable and very UV and saltwater resistant. With proper
care, your kite may last even longer. Eventual color changes of the cloth can be
caused by environmental causes, UV-exposure, mechanical strain as well as
it getting dirty. A color change has no influence on the flight characteristics.
// Flysurfer Kites sind äußerst langlebig und sehr UV- sowie salzwasserbe-
ständig. Mit ein paar Maßnahmen kann man die Lebensdauer jedoch nochmals
deutlich erhöhen. Eventuell auftretende Verfärbungen des Tuches sind auf
Umwelteinflüsse, mechanische Belastung, UV-Strahlung sowie Verschmutzung
zurückzuführen. Eine Verfärbung hat keinerlei Einfluss auf die Flugeigenschaften.
1. Do not leave the kite exposed to the elements. People who pack away their kite right after
a session, or for a longer break, will minimise the amount of time the material is exposed
to the sun and flapping in the wind, extending the “active“ lifespan of their kite.
// Nicht unnötig liegen lassen. Wer seinen Kite schon bald nach einer Kitesession oder in
längeren Pausen einpackt, vermeidet Sonnenstunden und lässt das Tuch nicht unnötig im
Wind flattern.
2. Drying: If a kite is packed away wet and left for a long period of time it can develop ugly
mildew spots, rust on the metal parts or color bleeding of the cloth. This does not effect
how the kite performs, but will reduce the value of your kite. In extreme cases the kite may
get mouldy.
// Trocknen: Ein über längere Zeit nass einpackter Kite kann unschöne Stockflecken, Rost
an den Metallteilen oder Abfärbungen des Tuchs bekommen. Dies schränkt die Funktion
des Schirms zwar nicht ein, wohl aber den Wiederverkaufswert. Im Extremfall können
Kites sogar schimmeln.
3. Rinsing: Rinse your kite from time to time with clear water, after using it in salt water, and
leave it to dry in the shade. Do not use any detergents. The warranty will be void after the
use of detergents on the cloth.
// Ausspülen: Spüle den Kite bei Einsatz im Salzwasser von Zeit zu Zeit mit klarem Wasser
und trockne ihn im Schatten. Verwende außer klarem Wasser jedoch keine anderen Reini-
gungsmittel. Eventuelle Garantieansprüche entfallen beim Einsatz von Reinigungsmitteln.
4. Check: Check all parts of the kite before each use. Especially parts that can wear out.
Material failure on those parts can lead to further damages, or put the kiter at risk.
// Checken: Prüfe vor jedem Einsatz alle Teile des Kites, insbesondere die Verschleißteile.
Materialbruch an einer Stelle kann auch Folgeschäden am Schirm verursachen oder den
Kiter in gefährliche Situationen bringen.
