1. General
Thismanualdescribesthe operationand maintenanceofFöhrenbachshandtoolHT129
and HT130, whicharedesigned tocrimpRelimateterminalsonthe specified wire.
Pleaseread thismanualbeforeusingthe handtool.
2. Terminalandapplicablewirerange
2.1Partnumberand applicablewirerange arelisted inTable1. The crimperhastwocrimp
sectionsatthe bothends(see figure2)and applicablewiresizeisindicatednexttothe
crimpsections.The crimpercan be interchanged afterpulling outadjustmentrod
showninfigure1.
2.2Wirestripping
Makesurestripped lengthof the wireisinthe range of 1.8to2.3mm. Becarefulnot to
makecutsornicks inthe strandsduring the stripping operation.

3. Operation instruction
3.1The hand toolisequipped witharatchetmechanismtoprovideappropriatecrimp
condition.Therefore,itisimpossibletoopen the handlesbeforeclosingthem
completelyreleasing ratchet.
3.2Placethe handtoolinyourrighthand sothatmovablehandlecanbeactuated byyou
thumb, then open thehandlescompletely.
3.3Holdthe contact sectionof theterminal, then insert aterminalasshowninfigure3.
3.4Closethe handlesgraduallyuntilthe terminalisheldbetween the crimperand anvil.
During thisoperation theterminalshouldberelocated sothatthe endofthe contact
sectiontouchesthe crimper(see figure3)
3.5Placeastripped wireintothe wirebarrelsothatinsulation ofthe wiretouchesthe
crimperorthe wirebarrel.Noteifeachofthe strandsisdispersed,itsometimes
causesstrandstobe left outofthe barrelaftercrimpoperation finishes,resulting in
crimpfailure.
3.6Closethe handlescompletelyuntilthe ratchetisreleased.
3.7Finallytakethe crimped terminalout ofthe hand tool.

4. Maintenanceandprecaution
Tousethe handtoolwithout anytroubleforextended time, observefollowing:
4.1Don’t drop orusethe hand toolasahammer!
4.2Afteruseofthe handtool,always clean andlubricatethe crimperand anviltoprevent
rustbuilt-up,and keepthe handlesclosetoavoidforeign particlesinthe crimp
sections.
