The Optional Brackets supplied are required only if replacing a Morco
D51-D61-G11 or Bosch W135
The stand o bracket will space the water heater o the wall to align this
unit with the existing ue.

Introduction
Instruction Manual for Installer and User of FORCALI water heater,
models FWH-6A and FWH-10A which is supplied with LPG gas. (See
rating plate)
In its design and manufacture we have thought of you, using state-
of-the-art technology, as well as conforming to European regulations
(ISO 9001 and CE). Each element that composes it has been carefully
designed, manufactured and housed in the process of operation.
The gas consumption per litre of hot water produced has been
studied meticulously and we have achieved optimum performance.
FORCALI has opted for this product, which perfectly covers the hot
water needs.

CHARACTERISTICS
Gas water heater with Atmospheric draught (room vented) so you do
not need electrical energy for the extraction of fumes.
It can be housed both outside and inside a building that complies
with the current regulations for gas installations.
The ignition is automatic, by means of two 1.5V LR20 batteries
housed in its lower part that activates the production of ignition
spark with double ignition, when there is demand of hot water when
opening the tap. There is also no need for electric current for this
function.
It lacks pilot ame, contributing in this way to a signicant saving in
gas consumption.
An advanced combustion system, with a high thermal eciency in
the exchanger, together with the ame regulation allows a great
energy saving.
High thermal power of 12KW (FWH-6A) and 20KW (FWH-10A),
instantaneously produces a maximum of 6 and 10 litres / minute of
hot water with a thermal increase of 25 C.
The water outlet temperature can be adjusted to suit the needs or
conveniences of the user and can be regulated easily by the display
located between the controls for water and ame adjustment.

A suitable adjustment of these two controls with the help of the
display of the temperature on the display can save gas consumption.
It has double thermal protection that prevents excess temperature
in hot water and excess temperature at the outlet and combustion
gases. The heater shuts o automatically when either of these
circumstances occurs.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR THE EVACUATION OF GASES (T.T.B.)
1. The T.T.B. safety element that is tted to the water heater ensures
that combustion products are evacuated properly and should
therefore not be deactivated and uncontrolled interventions should
not be performed on it. In case of disturbances in the evactuation
of combustion products the device interrupts the gas supply to the
burner.
2. If the T.T.B. device is activated once the water heater is turned on,
revise the burnt gas outlet by checking the evactuation with a cooled
mirror with running water, or any other measuring device approved
for this purpose.
3.In case of damage, use only original spare parts as the T.T.B. device
may not work properly otherwise.
It also has protection against water over pressure. When the water
pressure is greater than 10 kg, the heater will automatically relieve
the pressure through the discharge valve to prevent damage.
In this heater a small progressive function of gas consumption has
been achieved in function of the demand of hot water, very useful in
the installations that have thermostatic valve in the bathroom.
FORCALI has been careful to oer one of the most complete heaters
on the market.

INSTALLATION
This unit must be installed and commissioned by a registered Gas
Safe engineer. Failure to comply will invalidate any warranty.
As we already mentioned, this gas water heater is prepared to be
installed both inside and outside a building.
When the installation is done indoors, you must make sure that the
room has adequate ventilation through the installation of approved
grids for permanent and sucient air inlet and outlet, in accordance
with the current Regulations for Gas Installations.
As a guide, the minimum eective free area of vents is stated below in
connection with this water heater. Additional appliances burning gas
in the same area would require additional air requirements.
1. Installed in a Caravan Holiday Home is that as specied in BS5482
part 2 i.e 10sq cm per kilo watt rating divided equally high and low.
2. Where installed in an open bottomed cupboard in a Caravan
Holiday Home, i.e. in a kitchen, the ventilation requirements are as
stated in BS 5482 part 2. (EN 721)
It should never be installed inside the bathroom.
For outdoor installation, a metal cabinet must be provided for
protection against strong air currents and against other atmospheric
agents.
This cabinet must conform to the current regulations for gas
installations and have a door, a Flue for gas evacuation and be
completely open at the bottom.
When installed, the exhaust pipe must be vertical and have a
minimum diameter of 90mm for the 6L and 110mm for the 10L ; a
minimum height of 400mm from the ceiling and a minimum total
height of 600mm, with a cowl against the wind at its end.

As for horizontal travel, this is not permitted and is considered to be
an at risk installation.
The water heater should not be installed adjacent to combustible
materials, either above or at the sides or rear, if the temperature of
those surfaces could otherwise exceed 65C based in an ambient
temperature of 15°C. In such cases a heat shield must be installed in
the form of a fabrication from sheet metal or re proof board mounted
away from such surfaces to allow a minimum air gap of 25 mm.
The gas supply port is located in the lower part of the heater, with 1/2
“thread and properly marked with” Gas “.
The gas supply pipe must be of a minimum diameter of 10 mm, with
preference being 15mm for optimum operation.
The maximum inlet pressure of LPG gas must be permanently
controlled by means of a xed regulator suitable for the type of gas
being used.
The cold water inlet and hot water outlet are also located on the
bottom of the heater, with 1/2 “ threads and marked with” Cold inlet
“and” Outlet A.C.S. “
The water inlet pressure required for proper operation is 0.2 bar
minimum and 10 bar maximum. The output ow can modulate up to
6 Ltr minute FWH-6A and 10 Ltr minute FWH-10A
The minimum diameter for hot water outlet should be 10mm.
For all that is detailed, the installation of this heater, must be carried out
by properly qualied technical personnel registered with Gas Safe.

PRECAUTIONS
1. To ensure proper permanent ventilation, it is very important
take care not to cover the air inlet or outlet vents of the room where it
has been installed.
2. Do not use without a suitable ue tted.
3. In specic cold or imminent freeze temperatures to prevent frost/
frozen damage to the heat exchanger and water control valve.
a) Close the water inlet to the heater
b) Open the lowest hot water drain o valve
c) Open the drain hydraulic valve in the lower part of the heater so
that water will drain away from the unit and air can enter.
3 - The rubber hose supplying the gas from the bottle or battery must
be checked and replaced in accordance with current regulations for
gas installations.
4 - When you notice that the heater turns on with diculty and check
that the ignition spark is poor, replace the battery (2 of 1.5V, LR20)
that is housed in the bottom of the heater.

WARRANTY
Our Heaters are guaranteed for 1 year, under the following
requirements:
- The warranty includes the repair and free shipping of any defective
parts. Labor is included during the rst year.
- The warranty does not cover: wear and tear, misuse, poor quality
of water supplies (scale or excessive pressure) or gas (improper
pressure or dirt), lack of maintenance, frost damage, fuel not suitable
for the appliance, defects in smoke management, manipulation by
unauthorized persons for the handling of this product and the use of
the apparatus for purposes other than its design.
- Damage from frost prevention is not covered
- The warranty certicate must be completed and sent within 30 days
of rst commissioning for validity.
- Forcali does not take care of damages caused by a defective
installation.
FORCALI oers 1year warranty for this heater, against any
manufacturing defect.
The above problems are excluded and caused because your
installation does not conform to the current regulations for gas
installations.
