Zur Sicherstellung einer einwandfreien
Funktionsweise und zur eigenen Sicher-
heit sind alle nachstehenden Anmerkun-
gen und Hinweise genau durchzulesen
und zu beachten.
Der Lagerort muss wassergeschützt
und frei von Temperaturschwankungen
sein. Schäden, deren Ursache in
unsachgemäßem Transport, Lagerung
oder Inbetriebnahme liegen, unterliegen
nicht der Gewährleistung.

Die profi-air Defrosterheizung DN 160 /
2kW ist ein in die Außenluftleitung von
Lüftungsanlagen (profi-air 250 / 400
touch) integrierbares Luftvorwärmgerät,
welches den Wärmetauscher vor gefrie-
rendem Kondensat schützten soll. Das
Ein- bzw. Abschalten der Defrosterhei-
zung erfolgt über die im Lüftungsgerät
hinterlegte Frostschutzstrategie. Dazu
muss das elektrische Heizregister über
die Sensor-Aktor Box (notwendiges
Zubehör Art. Nr. 78300830) mit der
Steuerung der profi-air 250 / 400 touch
Lüftungsgeräte verbunden werden.
Durch diese Ansteuerung wird sicherge-
stellt, dass die Defrosterheizung nur in
Betrieb geht wenn im Kreuzgegen-
stromwärmetaucher Frostgefahr
besteht.
Die profi-air Defrosterheizung besteht
aus einer wärmegedämmten Box aus
expandiertem Polypropylen. In dieser
Box sind ein PTC Heizelement und ein
Vorfilter mit der Filterklasse G3 einge-
baut. Das PTC Heizelement passt die
Leistungsaufnahme an die zur Frostfrei-
haltung notwendige Leistungsabgabe
an. Der eingebaute Vorfilter G3 schützt
das PTC Heizelement vor Verschmut-
zungen.

nDas Gerät darf nur als Defroster ver-
wendet werden und ist in die Außen-
luftleitung der Lüftungsanlage einzu-
bauen.
nBeim Einbau ist auf die richtige
Durchströmungsrichtung gemäß
Pfeilrichtung zu achten.
nDas Gerät ist an einem mit FI-Schutz-
schalter abgesicherten Stromkreis
anzuschließen.
nDie Inbetriebnahme darf nur im ein-
gebauten Zustand, d.h. mit ange-
schlossenen Luftleitungen vorge-
nommen werden.
nDie Defrosterheizung ist nur mit vor-
geschaltetem Filter zu betreiben.
nIn das Filtereinschubfach des Gerä-
tes sind nur Orginalfilter des Geräte-
herstellers einzusetzen.
nBei Wartungsarbeiten (z.B. Filter-
wechsel oder Reinigung des PTC
Heizelementes) ist die Defrosterhei-
zung vom Netzanschluss zu trennen.
nVorsicht beim Filterwechsel – das
Heizelement kann noch heiß sein –
Verbrennungsgefahr!
Die Defrosterheizung ist in der Außen-
luftleitung einzubauen. Die Einbaulage
ist frei zu wählen, jedoch muss die Strö-
mungsrichtung beachtet werden, damit
der Filter G3 vor dem PTC Heizelement
sitzt. Die Strömungsrichtung ist auf der
EPP Box vermerkt. Auf eine ausreichen-
de und sichere Befestigung ist zu ach-
ten.
Achtung das Befestigungsmaterial ist
bauseits zu stellen.

Der elektrische Anschluss darf nur von
autorisiertem Elektro-Fachpersonal aus-
geführt werden. Hierbei sind die ein-
schlägigen Vorschriften und Richtlinien
des Einbauortes zu berücksichtigen. Der
elektrische Anschluss ist an einem mit
FI-Schutzschalter ausgerüsteten Strom-
kreis vorzunehmen.
Der Filter sollte im Zuge der Wartung
regelmäßig (spätestens nach 6 Mona-
ten) gewechselt werden. Hierzu ist die
Defrosterheizung vom Netzanschluss zu
trennen. Um einen Filterwechsel durch-
zuführen kann die EPP Box am Revisi-
onsdeckel geöffnet werden. Sollten
Verschmutzungen in der EPP Box bzw.
am PTC Heizelement vorhanden sein,
können diese mit einer Saugdüse und
einem Staubsauger gereinigt werden.
Achtung das PTC Heizelement darf nicht
mit einem trockenen oder feuchten Tuch
gereinigt werden.
Nach Abschluss des Filterwechsels ist
die Defrosterheizung wieder zu ver-
schließen.

Der Hersteller gewährt auf die profi-air
Defrosterheizung DN 160 in Abwei-
chung zu den geltenden AGBs eine
Gewährleistungsfrist von 24 Monaten.
Gewährleistungsansprüche können aus-
schließlich für Material- und / oder Kons-
truktionsfehler, die im
Gewährleistungszeitraum aufgetreten
sind geltend gemacht werden.
Die Gewährleistung erlischt wenn:
ndie Gewährleistungsfrist endet
ndie Defrosterheizung ohne Filter
betrieben wird
nnicht vom Hersteller gelieferte Teile
eingebaut werden
nnicht genehmigte Änderungen
oder Modifikationen vorgenommen
werden
Die profi-air Defrosterheizung DN 160
wurde für den Einsatz in so genannten
Komfortlüftungssystemen entwickelt
und gefertigt. Jede andere Verwendung
wird als „unsachgemäße Verwendung“
betrachtet und kann zu Beschädigungen
an der profi-air Defrosterheizung DN 160
oder zu Personenschäden führen, für die
der Hersteller nicht haftbar gemacht
werden kann.
Der Hersteller haftet für keinerlei Schä-
den, die auf folgende Ursachen zurück-
zuführen sind:
nNichtbeachtung der in dieser Anlei-
tung aufgeführten Sicherheits-, Ver-
wendungs-, Bedienungs- und War-
tungshinweise
nEinbau von Ersatzteilen, die nicht
vom Hersteller geliefert bzw. vorge-
schrieben wurden. Die Verantwor-
tung für die Verwendung solcher
Ersatzteile liegt vollständig beim Ins-
tallateur
nNormaler Verschleiß

To guarantee faultless functioning and
for reasons of safety, all subsequent
remarks and notes must be read and
observed in detail.
The storage location must be protected
from water and free from temperature
fluctuations. Damages caused by
improper transport, storage or commis-
sioning are not covered by warranty.
The profi-air preheater DN 160/2kW is
an air preheating device which can be
integrated in the fresh air pipe of ventila-
tion systems (profi-air 250 / 400 touch)
and which is intended to protect the
heat exchanger from freezing conden-
sate. The preheater can be switched on
and off through the frost protection
strategy deposited in the ventilation
device. The electrical preheater must be
connected with the control of the profi-
air 250 / 400 touch ventilation unit via
the sensor connection box (necessary
accessory Part No. 78300830). This con-
trol ensures that the defroster heating
only operates in case of freezing danger
in the cross counterflow heat exchanger.
The profi-air preheater comprises a
heat-insulated box made of expanded
polypropylene. A PTC heating element
and a prefilter with filter class G3 are
installed in this box. The PTC heating
element adjusts the power consumption
to the power output required to avoid
freezing. The installed G3 prefilter pro-
tects the PTC heating element from con-
tamination.

The preheater must be installed in the
fresh air pipe. The installation situation
can be selected freely, however, the flow
direction must be observed so that the
G3 filter is located upstream of the PTC
heating element. The flow direction can
be found on the EPP box. Please obser-
ve sufficient and safe fastening.
Attention! Fastening material must be
provided on site.

The electrical connection may only be
performed by qualified electrical staff.
The pertinent provisions and guidelines
of the installation location must be
observed. The electrical connection
must be made to a circuit protected by a
fault current protection switch.
The filter should be changed regularly in
the course of maintenance work (after 6
months at the latest). The preheater
must be separated from the network
connection for this purpose.
The EPP box must be opened at the ins-
pection plate in order to exchange the
filter. If there are contaminations in the
EPP box or at the PTC heating element,
these can be cleaned with a suction
nozzle and a vacuum cleaner.
Attention! Do not clean the PTC heating
element with a dry or wet cloth.
Close the preheater again after
exchanging the filter.

11. Warranty
12. Liability
The manufacturer allows a 24-month
warranty period for the profi-air pre-
heater DN 160, in contrast to the valid
terms and conditions. Warranty claims
can only be made for material and/or
construction faults that occur within the
warranty period.
The warranty becomes void if:
nthe warranty period ends
nthe preheater is operated without a
filter
ncomponents not provided by the
manufacturer are installed
nunauthorised changes or modifica-
tions are made to the device
The profi-air preheater DN 160 is desig-
ned and produced to be used in a com-
fort ventilation system. Any other use of
the device will be seen as “improper
use” and can cause damage to the profi-
air preheater DN 160 or personal injury,
neither of which the manufacturer can
be held responsible for.
The manufacturer is not liable for any
damage due to the following causes:
nFailure to observe the safety, opera-
ting and maintenance instructions
provided in the manual;
nInstallation of spare parts not sup-
plied or recommended by the manu-
facturer. The responsibility for the
use of such spare parts lies entirely
with the fitter;
nnormal wear and tear.
