The Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus is designed to give a little
reassurance for those living alone and their loved ones.
Sitting alongside your existing telephone, the main unit dials up to three user-
programmed numbers when alerted with the supplied call button. Trying each number
sequentially, once the Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus receives a human response, two
way communication, similar to a normal telephone, commences between whoever has
pressed the pendant button and the receiver of the call.
With a generous 50 metre range, the unit is supplied with one pendant and all the required
telephone and power leads. For added safety, a warning signal is played when pendant
batteries are low and the main unit can be protected against power cuts using batteries.
Please follow the instructions below to ensure your Friends &
Family Auto Dial Plus is correctly set up.
HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER AND TELEPHONE LINE
Open the white cover at the top of your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus base station and you will be able to see a socket for a DC power adaptor and a
telephone plug socket. Insert the black power adaptor into the power socket. Take the white telephone cable and insert the smaller, clear plug into the grey
socket on the back of your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus and insert the larger white plug into your home telephone socket.
To ensure your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus still works during a power cut please insert 4 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment at
the rear of your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus observing the correct polarity of the batteries. Turn on your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus by pushing the
switch located at the side of the unit to the “ON” position. A green light will show that your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus is on. A red light will ash for 3
seconds to indicate that the unit is ready for setup.
HOW TO RECORD AND LISTEN TO YOUR EMERGENCY MESSAGE
To record your emergency message, follow the steps outlined below.
Press and hold at the same time. A red light will show to indicate that the recording has started.
You then have 10 seconds to record your Emergency Message. We advise that you conclude your message by reminding the receiver of the call to “press 5
on their telephone keypad to accept the call”.
To listen back to your Emergency Message please press . Should you wish to re-record your Emergency Message, follow the above steps again.

In the unlikely event that your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus develops a manufacturing fault, it is covered by a one year return to
base warranty when you complete and return the details on the back of this card.
Your warranty is only valid with the original receipt, please ensure you keep this safe. The warranty runs from the date of purchase.
If your product develops a defect during the warranty period, please call 01635 874323 for further advice. If requested, please
securely pack your item and return it enclosing your contact details, your proof of purchase and fault details.
We will, at our discretion, repair or exchange the item in line with warranty legislation. Where no proof of purchase is provided, or
the product is outside the warranty period, repairs/replacements will be oered at cost to the customer.

HOW THE AUTO DIAL PLUS WORKS
In an emergency press the round button on the pendant and it will alert your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus base station to start dialling your three
emergency numbers. It will call each number for 45 seconds before it moves onto the next number. It will keep dialling the three emergency numbers until a
call is answered.
When the receiver answers the call from your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus they will hear your emergency message and will need to press 5 on their
telephone keypad to accept the call. Once the receiver has completed this action 2-way communication will commence between the receiver and the caller
through your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus pendant. Once the call is accepted and answered your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus base station will cease
dialling.
! IMPORTANT !
To ensure your telephone line remains open for emergency calls, the Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus will
end any call after 3 minutes of communication. The receiver of the call will hear three beeps before this
happens and can extend the call by pressing any key.
At the end of an emergency call the telephone line will remain open/engaged for up to three minutes.
ABOUT THE OUT OF RANGE ALERT
Should your pendant move out of range it will beep twice and two way communication will cease. Once you are back within range, press the round button
on the pendant and communication will resume.
Please note that the out of range alert alarm will sound if your base station is turned off. To disable this function, press the ON/OFF button for three
seconds. The pendant will beep once to conrm the function has been disabled. Should you wish to enable this function again, press the ON/OFF button for
three seconds and the pendant will beep twice to conrm the function has been enabled.
ABOUT THE PENDANT BATTERY
The pendant has a built in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. If a red light remains on and a beep sounds every 5 seconds, the battery is low and needs to be
charged using the provided USB charging cable. When charging the pendant a green light will show. Once the pendant is fully charged the green light will
turn off and no light will be shown.
Please ensure your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus pendant is charged, uninterrupted, for 10 hours before first use.
ADDITIONAL PENDANTS
You can purchase and connect extra pendants to your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus. Please call us if you wish to purchase an additional or replacement
pendant. Please see below for how to pair new or replacement pendants.
ON THE PENDANT - Start by removing the battery and then press and hold the help button. With the button held in, connect the power lead to the pendant
and release the help button. A red light will ash.
ON THE BASE UNIT - With the base unit off, press and hold its help button and turn the power on. Release the help button. The red light on the pendant
should turn off to show it is paired.

To store the telephone number of the people you would like your Friends & Family Auto Dial Plus to call in an emergency, please follow the instructions
below.
To store emergency number 1
Press the key followed by followed by the telephone number you wish to set followed by the key again.
To store emergency number 2
Press the key followed by followed by the telephone number you wish to set followed by the key again.
To store emergency number 3
Press the key followed by followed by the telephone number you wish to set followed by the key again.
Should you make a mistake or wish to change your emergency numbers just follow the steps outlined above.
