FOR DOMESTIC USE. IMPORTANT WARNINGS.
DEFINITIONS
Following guidelines are meant to identify the pre-
scriptions relative to safety and material damage as
well as the level of severity of the danger. They warn
you for potential risk of personal injury. Comply to all
safety prescriptions to avoid risks of personal injury
or death.
DANGER
Indicates a risk circumstance, which, if not avoided,
could cause important injury or death. This word is
only meant for most extreme situations.
WARNING
Indicates dangerous circumstances, which,
if not avoided, could cause serious injuries.
ATTENTION
Indicates a dangerous circumstance, which,
if not avoided, could cause small or moderately
serious injuries.
NOTICE
Relates to handlings not relied to personal injuries,
such as material damage and/or damage caused
by the appliance.
Always comply with the elementary safety
prescriptions when using electrical appliances,
including the following :
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
WARNING - In order to reduce risks of fire, electrical
shock or serious personal injury :
• Never touch hot surfaces. Use the handle.
• Never immerse the electrical cord, the plug or
the base in water/liquid
• Unplug the appliance when the appliance is not in
use and before cleaning. Let the appliance cool down
before assembling or disassembling
• Never use accessories not recommended by
the manufacturer. Since the accessories can heat up
during operation, let them cool down before handling
them
• Never place on or close to a heat source, such as
a gas or electrical stove, nor in an oven
• Be careful when moving all appliances with hot food
or liquids, such as oil
• Never leave the appliance unattended when in use
• Never plug in or unplug the appliance with wet
hands
• Take all necessary precautions to avoid burns,
fire or other personal injury or material damage, since
this appliance becomes hot during operation
• If the appliance should fall in water, unplug it
immediately. Do not touch it or put your hands
in the water
• Use the appliance in a well-ventilated room. Leave
at least 10 to 15 cm around the appliance for the air
to flow easily
• If the electrical cord is damaged, it should be
replaced by the manufacturer, a certified service
center or a person with similar qualifications in order
to avoid all danger
• This appliance does not have parts to be repaired
by the user. Never try to repair this appliance yourself.
The maintenance may only be executed by qualified
personnel; bring the appliance to a repair service of
your choosing to examine and repair it
• This appliance can be used by children above
the age of 8 as well as by persons whose physical,
sensorial or mental capacities are reduced or with
a lack of experience and knowledge when under
supervision or having received instructions from
another person responsible for their safety about
the use of this appliance in advance and that they
understand the dangers. Children should not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by
the user should not be carried out by children under
the age of 8 except when
supervised.

CAUTION
To reduce risks of personal injury :
• This appliance can only be used inside,
not suited for commercial nor industrial use. It is only
suited for domestic use to grill/heat food for human
consumption. Do not use the appliance outside or
for other purposes
• Never leave the electrical cord where it could be
pulled or where it could be tripped over (f.ex. on the
edge of a table or kitchen counter) or let it touch hot
surfaces
• Always wear insulated or heat resistant gloves
during operation of this appliance and use kitchen
utensils
• To unplug the appliance, never pull the electrical
cord but use the plug
• Always use the appliance on a flat, stable and
heat resistant surface

SPECIFIC PRESCRIPTIONS
Extension cords can be used if close attention is paid
during use. When using an extension cord :
• The rating should be at least equal to the rate
of the appliance
• The extension cord must be placed on the table
or kitchen counter so that children cannot pull it, and
so that it cannot be tripped over
• The extension cord must be an earthed plug
with 3 wires

LATER IF NEEDED
BEFORE FIRST USE
Press the release button of the upper plate to remove
the upper plate, then press the release button of the
lower plate to remove the lower plate. Clean both
plates and the juice collector with hot soapy water;
rinse and dry. These parts are dishwasher proof.
NEVER IMMERSE OR EXPOSE THE BASE IN OR
TO WATER. Place the upper and lower plates in
their respective position before use. See the chapter
“Assemble/Disassemble the plates” below for detailed
instructions.
REMARK : When using the plates for the first time,
grease the non-stick plates with oil using kitchen
paper. If necessary, grease before every use.
ASSEMBLING
Place the appliance on a clean, flat, stable and
heat resistant surface and leave at least 10 to 15 cm
around the appliance to allow air to flow easily.
POSITIONING THE UPPER HOUSING :
1. Closed/heating position: The upper housing
is closed and rests on the base. Use this position
to start/warm up the appliance and to grill most
of the food.
2. Open position: The upper housing is open and at
the same level as the base, which creates 2 baking
surfaces. Use this position to grill larger quantities
of food. To open the appliance, pull the release
hinge and open the handle
ASSEMBLE/CHANGE PLATES :
Engage the notch at the back of the lower plate into
the locking hooks, then push on the front of the plate
to fix it. Repeat to fix the upper plate.
USER MANUAL
WARNING : The grill plates and
the metal surfaces of the upper housing
and the handle will become very hot when using
the appliance. To avoid all risks of burn, wear
insulating or heat resistant gloves when using
the appliance, and only touch the black part of
the handle.
NOTICE : Only use heat resistant wooden,
plastic or silicone utensils to add/remove food.
Never use metal utensils, these could damage
the surface of the appliance.
REMARK : Upon first use, there might be a slight
odor or smoke output. This is normal and without
danger and will disappear in time.
DUO SAVOR FROM FRIFRI
For grilling burgers, boneless meat or fish or thin
pieces of meat and fish as well as vegetables.
In “Closed” position, the food will grill fast, since both
sides heat simultaneously.
1. Start by closing the appliance, then turn
the thermostat button to the desired position
1/2/3/4, which corresponds to following
temperatures :
0 Close 1 80-120 C°
2 120-160 C° 3 160-200 C° 4 200-240 C°
2. Set the Timer button on the desired time :
necessary preparation time plus heating time
5 to 6 minutes. If the timer is set on 30 minutes,
the appliance will shut down after half an hour.
The timer display shows the six time options
5/10/15/20/25/30.

3. If the Timer button is on position ZERO,
the appliance doesn’t have any power.
4. Turn the Timer button on the desired time.
The appliance is on, the Timer instruction,
Thermostat light and the Timer button light up.
5. The Timer button always has power.
When the Thermostat button is on position ZERO,
the appliance does not heat up, but is in standby.
The neon light for the Timer, the Thermostat
indicator and the Timer button light are lit, but
the neon light for the Thermostat button doesn’t
light up. The appliance only heats up when
the thermostat button is set on the temperature,
and the Thermostat indicator lights up.
The preheating starts, the indicator lights up.
6. The appliance is preheating; the grilling can start.
During grilling, the neon light of the Thermostat
will alternatively go on and off, which indicates
the appliance keeps the set temperature until
the food is grilled.
REMARK : On the housing, different food is
presented with their respective grilling time,
this is only a reference.
7. Place the food on the lower plate and lower the
upper plate on the food (position “Closed”).
The upper plate will automatically adapt to
the thickness of the food. When you grill food,
which doesn’t need the upper plate, such as kebab
or fish, leave the appliance on the “Open” position.
REMARK : When you grill different pieces of food
simultaneously, the pieces should have a similar
thickness for the upper plate to rest equally on all
the pieces for an equal grilling of the food.
8. Once the grilling is finished, remove the food,
unplug the appliance and let the appliance cool
down (minimum 30 minutes) before moving,
disassembling or cleaning it.
ATTENTION : Always unplug the appliance once
finished and when the appliance is not in use.
PANINIS PRESS
Use the upper and lower plates in “Closed” position
to grill a combination of ingredients (for example
vegetables, meat and cheese) between two slices
of bread or in a tortilla/pita.
1. Follow steps 1 to 7 of chapter “Duo Savor from
Frifri” above.
2. Place the food on the lower plate and lower
the upper plate on the food. The upper housing
will automatically adapt to the food.
REMARK : When you grill different pieces of food
simultaneously, the pieces should have a similar
thickness for the upper plate to rest equally on all
the pieces for an equal grilling of the food.
3. Once the grilling is finished, remove the food,
unplug the appliance and let the appliance cool
down (minimum 30 minutes) before moving,
disassembling or cleaning it.
ATTENTION : Always unplug the appliance once
finished and when the appliance is not in use.
DUO SAVOR OPEN
The use of the appliance in “Open” position doubles
the grilling surface and allows you to grill food with
a different thickness or different food on different
plates in order to avoid taste combinations.
Use for the grilling of bread, grilled potatoes,
open sandwiches or kebabs.
1. Put the appliance in “Open position” and plug in
the appliance. The power indicator light will light up
red, which indicates the appliance has power.
2. Set the preparation time and the temperature.
REMARK : It might take up to
5 to 6 minutes to reach the set
temperature. The indicator light
will extinguish to indicate the appliance is ready for
use. During grilling, the neon light of the Thermostat
goes on and off, which indicates the appliance main-
tains the set temperature until the food is grilled.
3. Place the food on the grill plates.
4. Once the grilling is finished, remove the food,
unplug the appliance and let the appliance cool
down (minimum 30 minutes) before moving,
disassembling or cleaning it.
ATTENTION : Always unplug the appliance once
finished and when the appliance is not in use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENACE
WARNING : Always make sure the appliance is
unplugged and has completely cooled down before,
moving, disassembling or cleaning it.
NOTICE : Never use hard or abrasive detergents
or sponges to clean the appliance.
1. When the appliance has completely cooled down,
carefully remove the juice collector and pour out
the content.
2. Remove the food residues from the grill plates.
3. Clean the grill plates and the juice collector with
hot soapy water, rinse and dry. These parts are also
dishwasher proof
WARNING : Never immerse or expose the base in
or to water.
4. Wipe the upper housing and the base with a moist
sponge and dry with a soft cloth or kitchen paper.
5. Store the appliance in a cool and dry place.

ENVIRONNEMENT
• In accordance with the European standards*, used
electric and electrical appliance cannot in any way
be disposed with normal not sorted domestic waste.
They must be brought to an official collection center
• Help the protection of the environment and bring
this appliance to an official collection center for
recycling of appliances at the end of their lifetime
• Bring a used appliance to an official collection
center for recycling. Public services for domestic
waste collection (the municipality) have collect points
where used appliances from private household from
the region can be disposed of for free. Collection
centers might also come to pick up used appliances
from private households
• Inform yourself about the pick-up dates in your
region or contact the municipality to know where
the collection centers are
* Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parliament
and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on waste
electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
This indicates that this appliance cannot be disposed
with other domestic waste in the EU.
To avoid damaging the environment and public health
by an uncontrolled disposal of waste, the appliances
must be recycled in a responsible way to encourage
sustainable use of material resources.
To dispose of your used appliance, use the return
and collecting systems, or contact the store where
you bought the appliance. This person can pick up
the appliance for an ecologic recycling.
WARANTY
Dalcq S.A. provides a special warranty on all parts
of the appliance subject to conditions below.
The legal regulations about warranty as well as
the rights resulting from the legislation about
responsibility of the defective products remain
unaffected. Possible right to reimbursement of
the buyer in case of defaults remain valid, if
the conditions below are met.
1. Period of the warranty The warranty applies
to all parts of the appliance and starts from the date
of purchase (date of invoice) of the appliance and has
a duration of 2 years when used privately.
2. Object of the warranty Dalcq S.A. covers
the material, construction and manufacturing defaults,
provided the default was present at delivery and that
the appliance was correctly operated by the buyer.
The warranty covers free of charge repair,
or exchange of one or more defective components,
or the exchange of the appliance for another
appliance of the same value. It is up to Dalcq S.A.
to decide which measure to undertake.
3. Warranty case When breakdown/default,
you must immediately advise :
1. The store where you bought the appliance
2. The after sales service (written or via email)
that the appliance will be returned, to provide
an extended description of the problem with
pictures
4. Packaging It is recommended to use the original
packaging to return the appliance. If you use a
different packaging, make sure it provides enough
protection for typical transport risks and that it offers
sufficient protection. A simple cardboard box filled
with paper is not sufficient. Dalcq S.A. cannot be held
responsible for damage resulting from insufficient
packaging. The warranty then expires. The after sales
service will inform you of the return procedure as well
as of the costs this implies.
5. Cleaning If you don’t clean
the parts or the appliance before
returning it, Dalcq S.A. will invoice
a cleaning set rate. It is the responsibility of the buyer
to prove the real costs of cleaning are inferior to
the invoiced set rate.
6. Withdrawal of the right to warranty The right to
warranty is withdrawn by :
• Incorrect use, treatment and storage. (for example,
defaults caused by humidity, high temperatures)
• Repairs, repair attempts, modifications of any kind
and use of non-original parts, etc. which were not
executed by Dalcq S.A. or by an authorized company
• Insufficient packaging and bad transport
• Inappropriate mechanical influences on
the appliance or on the parts of the appliance
• Defaults that are not caused by the finishing or
production of the appliance, such as fall, collision,
damage, fire, earthquake, damage by flood, lightning,
etc
• Use other than household use, especially in
a commercial environment
• The costs incurred by Dalcq S.A. because of
the returning of the appliance by the buyer, without
warranty or right to restitution will be for the buyer
