PUTTING INTO SERVICE & USE
Before the first use
•Remove all packaging, stickers and labels
•Thoroughly clean all the parts of the appliance
(See chapter Cleaning)
•Put the bowl in the freezer, without lid, motor unit,
stirrer and blade
•For a good repartition of the freezing fluid the bowl
has to be placed vertically in the freezer (-18°) for
at least 8 to 12 hours. Shake the bowl to know if
it is frozen, you shouldn’t hear anything
•Remove the bowl at the last moment, when
the preparation is ready and cooled
Caution : Once the inner bowl is completely frozen,
do not touch it with wet or moist hands, they could
stick to the metal. Handle the bowl with a dry cloth.
USING INSTRUCTIONS
Assembling
•Put the motor unit in the opening of the lid
and press firmly to fix it
•Put the stirrer in the opening of the motor and fix
the blade
•Put the lid on the bowl,
align the grooves, and fix
by turning counterclockwise
Use
Important : Only pour the preparation in the bowl
when the blade is turning, to avoid the preparation
from sticking to the sides. Only fill the bowl half,
because the preparation will increase in volume.
•Completely unroll the electrical cord and plug in
the appliance
•Press the ON/OFF button
•Standard preparation time is 40 minutes.
For a successful ice formation 30 to 40 minutes
are necessary
- If you wish to adapt the preparation time, press
consecutively on the time button. The timer has
a range from 5 to 45 minutes
- When the time is set, the blade starts to turn
after 3 seconds. The remaining preparation time
is displayed
- 30 seconds before the end of the program the
time display will blink. When finished the appliance
will stop working
•Pour the preparation previously cooled in
the refrigerator through the opening in the lid.
The preparation will stiffen
•If you wish, you can, through the opening in
the lid, add ingredients during the operation (pieces
of chocolate, fruit, small chunks of cookie…)
•Do not turn the appliance off and on again during
the freezing process of the process. Otherwise
the preparation could freeze in contact with the
bowl and obstruct the movement of the blade
•As soon as the preparation has the consistence
of Italian ice cream, it is ready to enjoy. If you would
like a more solid texture, put the preparation in the
freezer for half an hour in order to freeze more.
To do this, remove the motor unit from the appliance
•In order to prevent overheating
of the motor, the direction of rotation
of the blade changes when
the preparation thickens too much. If this happens
all the time, the ice cream is ready, and you can
unplug the appliance
Remark :
•Adding alcohol can slow the process of making ice
cream or even impair it. Instead, use concentrates
or aromas to flavor your preparation. Should you
want to add alcohol anyway to the preparation, add
it when the preparation has stiffened a bit, through
the opening in the lid
•Adding to much sugar or fat can also slow
the process of making ice cream
•If the motor gets overheated, the appliance will go
into safety mode and will stop. In this case, turn
off the appliance, unplug it and let it cool for a few
minutes. It will function normally afterwards
•The appliance can overheat for different reasons:
a preparation which is too thick, a preparation time
which is too long, or adding too big pieces during
the ice making process
•If you would like to start a new ice making process,
it will only take 5 hours for the bowl to freeze again
(when cleaned and dried) in the freezer
EN

Conservation
•For long-term conservation it is better to scoop
the ice cream in an airtight container. The bowl is
than available in your freezer for you to make new
ice cream
•In the bowl of your ice cream maker the ice will stiffen
more than in a normal container.
Remember to remove the ice cream from the freezer
a little bit in advance before consuming it
•Do not freeze defrosted ice again
•It is recommended not to conserve ice cream
longer than 10 days if the ingredients were not
cooked in advance
Remark : Young children, pregnant women, elderly
or vulnerable persons may not eat ice cream or sorbet
with raw or partially cooked eggs.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the appliance after each use.
Always pull the plug from the socket before
disassembling and cleaning the appliance.
Disassembling
•Turn the lid clockwise to unlock it
•Lift the lid to remove it
•Disassemble the blade and the stirrer
and make sure not to lose them
•Remove the motor unit by pressing the clips
on the inside of the lid
Cleaning
•Allow the bowl to get to room temperature
before cleaning it
•Clean the bowl, the blade and the lid with lukewarm
soapy water. Do not wash the parts in the dishwasher
•Make sure to dry the inner side of the bowl carefully
before putting it back in the freezer. If there remains
water, it will freeze and prevent the blade from turning
•To clean the motor unit, use a well squeezed sponge
and carefully dry with a soft cloth
