Installation Requirements
Before installation, make sure the following conditions are met:
Server Mounting
Rack Mounting
Mount the server on the rack.
Make sure the rack is stable enough to mount the server.
The server should be mounted in a clean, dust-free and well-ventilated site.
There should be at least one three-prong power socket in the mounting site.
The server should be isolated from strong electromagnetic fields and electrical noise generating
equipment.
Reserve space for easy server maintenance.
CAUTION: To prevent bodily injury when mounting or maintaining the server in a rack, please
take special precautions to ensure that the rack remains stable. The following guidelines are
provided to ensure your safety:
1. If there’s no other equipment on the rack, the server should be mounted at the bottom of
the rack.
2. Equipment(including servers) mounted on the rack should be mounted from the bottom to
the top according to weight.
3. If the rack is provided with stabilizing devices, install the devices before mounting or
maintain the server.
4. Equipment mounted on the slide rails should not to be used as a shelf or a work platform.
6
EN

1. Mount the inner rail of the sliding rail on both sides of the chassis to fix the inner rail with screws.
2. Mount the outer rail of the sliding rail on the rack.
3. Lift the server up, then align it to the middle rail.
4. Push the server into the outer rail. When a“click” sound is heard, pull the blue block at point B in the
arrow direction to push the server into the rack.
5. Open the plastic cover at point C/D and tighten the screws.
NOTE: If you cannot not pull out the server when a“click” sound is heard, you can pull the
white block at point A or blue block at point B in the arrow direction to pull the server out.

Memory Mounting
Connecting the power
A. Open the latches on both sides of the memory slot.
B. Pay attention to accurately align the memory with the memory slot.
1. Plug the corresponding end of the power cord into the power jack of the server.
2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a power outlet.
C. Align the memory with the memory slot, then insert it into the slot.
D. Press the memory downwards and insert it into the slot tightly. Then snap on the latches on both
sides of the memory slot.
E. Make sure that the latches on both sides of the memory slot are fully snapped on.
NOTE: 1. To ensure the smooth implementation of memory functions, it is important to
ensure that the same server uses the exact same memory products, mainly in terms of
memory capacity and particle type.
2. The operating frequency of the memory depends on the CPU, and the maximum memory
frequency supported by different CPU varies. 2933Mhz is only supported by the second
generation Intel Xeon Scalable-SP (82XX,62XX) mounted.
3. Unbalanced memory topology. For instance, mounting two pieces of memory in one of
the memory channels and one piece of memory in the other memory channel will result in
lower.
NOTE: This power cord cannot be used with other devices, and other power cords should
not be used with this device.

Troubleshooting
Check whether all the power cords are securely plugged in, whether the power cord connects to a
junction box or outlet correctly or the fuse or fuse cutout is damaged.
Check whether the system is operating properly. If so, the power LED may be defective or the cable
from the front panel to the motherboard may be loose.
Check whether the keyboard is working properly or the“Num Lock”LED is on.
Check whether the brightness and contrast of the monitor are adjusted properly.
Check whether the monitor Settings are correct.
Check whether the signal cable of the monitor is installed correctly.
Check whether the onboard video controller works properly.
Check whether the brightness and contrast of the monitor are adjusted properly.
Check whether the signal cable of the monitor is installed correctly.
Check whether the VGA card installation is correct.
If the system cooling fan does not work properly, the system component may be damaged. At this
point, check the following items:
Check whether the socket on the wall has AC power.
Check whether the power button is pressed.
Check whether the power LED is on.
Check whether the fan motor has stopped (check the fan status using the server management
subsystem).
Check whether the power cord of the monitor is firmly inserted and or power is turned on. Many
monitors now turn off automatically when not working and require a warm-up period when
activated.

The hard disk drive LED is off
Check whether the fan power connector is correctly connected to the board or the cables from the
front panel is connected to the motherboard properly.
Check whether the power cord is connected to the motherboard properly.
Check whether a short circuit is caused by squeezed cables or a power connector improperly
inserted into the power jack.
If one or more hard disks have been installed, check the following items:
Check whether the power cords and signal cables of hard disks are correctly installed.
Check whether all the relevant switches and jumpers on hard disk drives and adapters are set
correctly.
Check whether the hard disk configuration is correct.
