INTRODUCTION
This manual explains how to operate the portable exposure function at the CR Console.
For other functions/operations, refer to the “CR Console OPERATION MANUAL” and
“CR Console OPERATION MANUAL, THE USER UTILITY OPERATIONS.”
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
When using the POCKET id Console, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following, in order to forestall any possible trouble.
• Be careful not to scratch the screen of the POCKET id Console. Use the stylus that comes
with the POCKET id Console or a pen having a plastic tip intended for use on touch
screens. Never use a pointed object such as a pen and pencil on the screen of the POCKET
id Console.
• Although the POCKET id Console features a water- and dust-proof design, avoid prolonged
exposure to rain or wet conditions, just as is the case with handling small-sized electronic
equipment such as a pocket calculator.
• Since glass is used for the touch screen of the POCKET id Console, do not drop or give a
strong impact to the device.
• Do not subject the POCKET id Console to extreme temperatures, for example, by leaving it
on the dashboard of a car on a hot sunny day. Keep the unit away from heat sources.
• Do not use or store the POCKET id Console in a place that is extremely dusty, damp or wet.
• To clean the casing of the POCKET id Console, use a soft lens-cleaning cloth. When
the screen has become soiled, wipe the soil off with a soft cloth moistened lightly with a
window-cleaning detergent.

power button. The time before the POCKET id Console enters power-saving mode has been
set beforehand. If you want to change this time period, please ask the service engineer in
charge of servicing your Console.
For your information, when the battery runs low, the message “The battery is exhausting.
Charge the battery because if it becomes dead, stored data may be lost.” will appear.
Place the POCKET id Console into the dedicated cradle for charging.
If you continue using the POCKET id Console after the above message has been shown, the
message “The battery is exhausting. Charge it immediately, otherwise stored data may
be lost.” will appear and the POCKET id Console ceases to be in operation.
If this is the case, immediately set the POCKET id Console into the dedicated cradle for
charging.
Even at this point in time, what has been registered so far is retained. However, if you leave
the POCKET id Console uncharged, the incorporated battery will go completely dead and any
stored information will be lost. So, please be careful.

In this method, studies that have been received from the RIS (Radiology Information System)
are transmitted to the POCKET id Console.
(When using a worklist, which procedure, for the (1) With stock or (2) Without stock case, can
be used depends on the maintenance setting.)
If the POCKET id Console is not sitting in the cradle at the time of transmission, a transmission
failure message appears. A study that has failed in transmission is displayed on the “Local
WL” list. So transmit it in the same procedure as that for making study reservation on the CR
Console (page 16).
(1) With stock
Select in the “Network WL” tab.
The CR Console enters a state of waiting for studies to receive ( is indicated), and start
putting received studies into stock.
Caution for when changing a study from the CR Console to a POCKET id Console
An attempt to transfer a study, for which no exposure menus have been selected, from the
CR Console to a POCKET id Console, will result in a failure. In cases like this, no message will be
displayed to indicate such a failure. For this reason, be sure to confirm first on the worklist if exposure
menus have been selected for the study you wish to transfer, and then operate study transfer.
For a study for which no exposure menus have been selected, select to start it and then
add new exposure menus. A study to which exposure menus have been newly added will thus
become ready to be transferred to the POCKET id Console.
