notebook computer theft on the rise, security has become
one of the top considerations in notebook purchases.
One stolen notebook in the wrong hands can do serious
damage to any business—big or small. A security system
is only as good as the person using it. If it’s cumbersome,
chances are it won’t get used. With that in mind, Fujitsu
provides a rich array of security features that are easy to
use yet hard to defeat. From a basic Anti-Theft Lock Slot
to a sophisticated TPM, the LifeBook S7210 notebook
offers a combination of hardware and software security
solutions that provide an extremely high level of mobile
computer protection.
Fujitsu offers a built-in biometric fi ngerprint swipe
sensor that eliminates the need for managing multiple
passwords. With a simple swipe of your fi nger, you can
quickly and safely log on to the protected system and
online accounts without having to enter cumbersome
passwords, easy to use—very diffi cult to breach.
The embedded TCG 1.2-compliant Trusted Platform
Module (TPM) protects digital identifi cation and data,
and platform authentication. It also allows users to
securely store private keys and certifi cates for fi le and
folder encryption, Web, email, digital signatures, and
passwords.
The dedicated Smart Card slot supports a wide range
of third-party applications, such as secure online
transactions, personalized authentication services, access
to personal data, and “e-cash” storage options.
With more than 800,000 possible passwords, the
integrated theft-deterring Security Panel provides both
supervisor and user password levels, keeping your
sensitive data accessible to only those who should see it.
The LifeBook S7210 notebook also features two level
hard drive password protection, allowing system
administrators to have a password that is secret from
users, and can be used to unlock the device if the user
password is lost.
The optional Computrace®service provides a way of
tracking and recovering stolen notebooks whenever they
connect to the internet.
Performance
The Fujitsu LifeBook S7210 notebook can be confi gured
with one of three Intel®Core™ 2 Duo Processors so you
can match your computer’s performance requirements
to your exact needs. Coupled with an SATA drive, and
Turbo Memory options, you will have all the performance
needed to accomplish your business tasks.
Easy Deployment & Management
You can simplify deployment and management, reducing
TCO with the following features:
- Amodular bay supporting a variety of devices, including
a number of optical drives, a modular bay battery, and a
convenient weight saver.
- A modular bay battery is available for extended
computing time—up to six and a half hours.
- A variety of communications options are available to
seamlessly integrate into your corporate environment.
Flexible Connectivity
With both 56K modem and Gigabit (10/100/1000)
Ethernet LAN built-in, you can easily connect to your
offi ce network and the Internet at home or at work. For
wireless connectivity, the optional Intel®Wireless WiFi
4965AGN Network Connection (802.11a/b/g/Draft-
n) operates in both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz spectrum,
delivering high throughput for increased productivity. The
optional Atheros Super AGe®Wireless LAN (802.11a/b/
g); offers excellent throughput, delivering user speeds that
are 1.5-2.0 times faster than standard 802.11g or 802.11a/
g products. (Compatible access points are required to
achieve the full performance benefi ts of either of these
wireless technologies.) If you use a Bluetooth-enabled
cellular phone or PDA, your LifeBook S7210 notebook
can be equipped with integrated Bluetooth (version
2.0) wireless technology for data synchronization and
swapping images or data.
Reliability
The LifeBook S7210 embodies all the attributes that

protects your hard drive from accidental bumps that
