ASSEMBLY & OPERATIONBATTERY REPLACEMENT
Battery Replacement
(figures 4 & 5)
Step 1: Push the ON/OFF switch to turn off.
Step 2: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of solar
panel unit by removing the 4 screws.
Step 3: Remove the 4 screws from the battery compartment
cover.
Step 4: Replace the battery with an equivalent, new solar
rechargeable Ni-MH battery (AA, 1.2V), ensuring the correct
polarity is observed.
Step 5: Reassemble the unit by reversing the above procedure.
Step 6: Push the ON/OFF switch to turn on. Allow the
unit to fully charge in direct sunlight for up to 2 days in
the ON position. Once fully charged, your solar light will
automatically turn on once it gets dark.
CAUTION: Rechargeable batteries contain nickel-cadmium
or nickel-metal hydride and must be recylced or disposed
of properly. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix
alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or
leak.
Assembly & Operation (figures 2 & 3)
Step 1: Insert the adapter (Part B) into the base of the solar panel
unit (Part A).
Step 2: Insert the ground stake (Part C) into the bottom of the
adapter (Part B).
Step 3: Choose the ground area and insert the ground stake (C)
into the ground. Place the assembly on top of the ground stake
once the ground stake is inserted into the ground. Never push the
fixture into the ground by the solar panel unit (Part A).
