Decompressing/unpackingtheimage
Inordertominimizedownloadtimestheimageshavebeencompressedusingzipandmusttherefore
bedecompressedafterdownload.
Mostmodernoperatingsystemshavebuilt‐insupportfordecompressingzip‐filesmakingitpossible
tosimplyclickonthecompressedfileandcopythe8gigabyteSDimagetoaseparatelocationonthe
computer.ForolderversionsofWindowswithoutbuilt‐inzipsupportitispossibletouseafree
decompressiontoolsuchas7‐zip<url>
WritingtheimagetomicroSD
Thiscanbedonewithanystandardsoftwareforblock‐levelaccesstothemicroSDcard.
TheCstickVirtualizationClient(CVC)providesthisfunctionalityforWindows,MacandLinux
computersandcanbedownloadedfromdownload.cstick.com
AfterstartingCVCselectthe“FlashDevice”optionfromtheToo ls menu.
Selectthereader/writerthatthemicroSDcardhasbeeninsertedinandthenpress“Next”
Selecttheimagefiletowriteandpress“Next”
CVCshowstheprogressofthewritingoperation.
Whenthisreaches100%themicroSDcardcanberemovedfromthereaderandbeinsertedinto
CottonCandy.

thedevice.CottonCandydoesnotdrawpowerfromanyotherperipheralconnector.

connectorandsupports1080pHDresolution.AudioisalsoprovidedoverHDMI.

CottonCandywillnotbeabletosupplysufficientpowerformostdevicesoverthemicro‐USBhost
port.
CottonCandyreliesonstandardOSfunctionalityforUSBperipheralsandcanbeusedwithanydevice
whichissupportedbythecurrentlyrunningOS/drivers.Thismightmeanthatsomedevicesareonly
supportedunderoneoftheOSes.ThebestwaytocheckwhetheraparticularUSBdeviceis
supportedistoconsulttheofficialdocumentationfortheselectedOS,orsimplyconnectingittosee
whetheritworks.
BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY
CottonCandyreliesonstandardOSfunctionalityforBluetoothconnectivityandcanbeusedwithany
devices,suchaskeyboards,miceandheadsets,thataresupportedbythecurrentlyrunningOS.
Thismeansthatsomedevicesmaynotbesupportedunderalloperatingsystems.
ThebestwaytocheckwhetheraparticularBluetoothdeviceissupportedistoconsulttheofficial
documentationforthedeviceorsimplyattempttoconnectittoseeifitworks.
WIFI CONNECTIVITY
CottonCandysupports2.4GHzwirelessnetworkconnectivity.Networkconfigurationisperformed
throughthestandardmechanismsinthecurrentlyrunningOS.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions,
