GETTING STARTED
This user guide will walk you through a one-time setup that will help
you congure your Gamevice Flex for use with your phone.
Gamevice Flex is designed to t phones with or without a protective
case. Your product includes an Adapter Kit that provides extensive
compatibility with a wide range of protective case sizes through the
use of interchangeable adapters. It also includes adapters when
using your phone without a protective case.

EXPANDING YOUR CONTROLLER
To get your controller ready for use, pull both release latches
rmly to unlock the controller’s retention plate and gently pull the
retention plate away from your controller.

ADAPTER KIT
The Adapter Kit consists of boxes labeled 1 2 A B and
is located at the bottom of your Gamevice Flex product box.
They contain
16 interchangeable Case Adapters and
2 pairs of
interchangeable Phone Adapters.

PHONE ADAPTERS
If you are using your phone WITHOUT a protective case, select
ONE set of Phone Adapters found either in box A or B of the
Adapter Kit.
All Phone Adapters are labeled on the bottom side. Refer to the
Choosing Phone Adapters section on installing the appropriate
adapters for your phone.
CASE ADAPTERS
If you are using your phone WITH a protective case, depending
on the thickness and shape of your protective case, select ONE
Case Adapter for the left side of the controller from box 1 and
ONE Case Adapter for the right side (where the Lightning
connector is located) from box 2 or 3.
All Case Adapters are labeled on the bottom side. Refer to the
Choosing Case Adapters section on installing the appropriate
adapters for your phone.

CHOOSING CASE ADAPTERS
If you know your protective case manufacturer and model, go to
gamevice.com/ex/adapters to nd the correct adapters for the left
and right side of your controller. Otherwise, utilize the included
Case Adapter Selector to nd the appropriate adapters for your
protective case.
USING THE CASE ADAPTER SELECTOR
Beginning with the slot directly below the START label, attempt to
slide the corner of your phone with the protective case on as shown.
If you cannot slide your phone in freely, move on to the next slot in
the direction indicated by the arrows and try again. The rst slot
that you can slide your phone in freely is your match.
Keep going until your phone can slide in freely into one of the slots.
If your phone does not t into any of the slots, your protective case
is too thick and is not compatible with Gamevice Flex.
SAMPLE INSTRUCTIONS
(Example: L25 and R15A t)
Install L25 from box 1 to the left side of the controller as shown in
the Installing Case Adapters section. Install R15A from box 3 to the
right side of the controller. Connect your phone and ensure the
Status Indicator Ring around the App Launch button lights up.
The R15B alternate adapter option shown on the Case Adapter
Selector may provide a tighter t for your protective case. Refer to
the Case Adapters (Right Side) - Advanced Fit Instructions section
for additional instructions.

INSTALLING CASE ADAPTERS
As shown below, slide the Case Adapters into the slots at the bottom
of the controller cavity until the adapter snaps into place. You should
feel a solid click that conrms the adapter is properly installed.
LEFT SIDE
Only a left side Case Adapter should be installed on the left side of
the controller. The label side should be on the bottom and not visible
when installed. You will use one of the adapters labeled L10, L15,
L20, L25, L30, L35, L50. *
RIGHT SIDE
Only a right side Case Adapter should be installed on the right side
of the controller. The label side should be on the bottom and not
visible when installed. You will use one of the adapters labeled
R10A, R15A, R15B, R20A, R20B, R20C, R25A, R25B, R35. *
*The number from the adapter label indicates the
thickness of the bottom of the adapter (lower numbered
adapters are thinner, higher numbered are thicker).

*The letter from the right side adapter label indicates the
thickness of the back wall of the adapter (“A” is thinnest,
“B” is medium, “C” is thickest).

REMOVING CASE ADAPTERS
Push rmly on the corner of the Case Adapter in the location and
direction indicated by 1 below. At the same time, push rmly the
corner of the Case Adapter outward at an angle indicated by 2 to
remove the adapter. The adapter may bend or bow during
removal, which is normal and will not damage the adapter*.
* If the adapter becomes stuck during removal, you may pull rmly on
the adapter until the adapter is released from the controller.

CHOOSING PHONE ADAPTERS
Depending on which iPhone you are using, you will need to choose
the correct Phone Adapters from the two options included in the
packaging to ensure your iPhone has the best t when connected to
the controller.

INSTALLING PHONE ADAPTERS
Firmly insert the left side Phone Adapter (without the opening in
the back) into the left side of the controller. Ensure that the sides
of the Phone Adapter are ush with the controller cavity edge.
Repeat for the right side making sure that the Lightning connector
protrudes through the opening in the back of the Phone Adapter.
REMOVING PHONE ADAPTERS
Firmly pull the installed
Phone
Adapter on the left side of the
controller until it is fully removed from the controller. Repeat
for the right side.

CONNECTING YOUR PHONE
First connect your phone’s Lightning port to the Lightning
connector on the right side of the controller. Then gently pull the
left side of the controller and expand it until your phone can t into
the left side. The Status Indicator Ring around the App Launch
button on the right side of the controller will briey light up white
to indicate that the controller is properly connected to your phone
and is ready for use.
DETACHING YOUR PHONE
Firmly hold your phone in the middle with one hand and gently
pull the left side of the controller until the left side of your phone
is detached and free from the controller. Then gently pull and
disconnect your phone’s Lightning port from the Lightning
connector from the right side of the controller.

COLLAPSING YOUR CONTROLLER
To make your controller portable for carrying or for storage,
collapse your controller by bringing its two sides together
until the left and right sides meet.
Finally, press the retention plate at the back towards your
controller until it snaps both sides into place.

CASE ADAPTERS - ADVANCED FIT INSTRUCTIONS
CASE ADAPTER IS TOO THICK
CASE ADAPTER IS TOO THIN
Try installing a thinner Case Adapter for the appropriate side of
the controller (left or right). For example, if R15A is too thick,
try installing the next lower numbered adapter R10A. If R10A is
still too thick, then try using without any adapter.
Try installing a thicker Case Adapter for the appropriate side of the
controller (left or right). For example, if R15A is too thin, try
installing the next higher numbered adapter R20A. Connect your
phone and ensure that the Status Indicator Ring around the App
Launch button lights up.
CASE ADAPTER FIT
If you have selected the appropriate Case Adapters for your
protective case, the left and right sides of the controller should be
level with your phone.

CASE ADAPTERS (RIGHT SIDE) - ADVANCED FIT INSTRUCTIONS
If there are alternate adapter options listed on the Case
Adapter Selector for your protective case thickness, you may
be able to choose an alternate adapter for the right side of the
controller to reduce movement in the directions shown.
SAMPLE INSTRUCTIONS
(Example: for L35 and R20A match, alternate adapter options
R20C / R20B)
Remove Case Adapter R20A and install adapter R20C from
box x. Connect your phone and if the Status Ring Indicator
around the App Launch button lights up, you have found the
appropriate adapter R20C.
If the Status Ring Indicator does not light up, remove Case
Adapter R20C and install adapter R20B from box 2. Connect
your phone and if the Status Ring Indicator around the App
Launch button lights up, you have found the appropriate
adapter R20B.
If the Status Ring Indicator does not light up, reinstall Case
Adapter R20A as you have already found the appropriate t.
