1. Safety Warnings
Important! Read and follow these instructions carefully and keep for future reference.
Read the entire instruction before assembling and installing this product. If you sell or
give away this product, make sure you give this instruction to the new owner. Thank you.
Incorrect installation can be dangerous.
Do not use the safety barrier if any components are damaged or missing.
The safety barrier must not be fitted across windows.
This safety barrier conforms to EN 1930:2011.
This safety barrier is for domestic use only.
This safety barrier is suitable for use with children up to 24 months of age.
lf the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs, it should not be positioned below
the top level.
If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs, it should be positioned at the
front of the lowest tread possible.
Safety barrier should be checked regularly to ensure that it is secure and function
in accordance with these instructions.
Any additional or replacement parts should only be obtained from the manufac-
turer or distributor.
Check that the safety barrier is correctly closed.
Fixing surfaces must be suitable for the purpose and structurally sound.
Danger to older children climbing over the gate.
Stop using the gate if the child is capable of climbing it.
This safety barrier has a manual closing system.
This gate can be fitted to door or stair openings with apertures between 20 and
140 cm (8 to 55in).

The gate can be installed at two locations alternately for easy relocation.

3. Installation
3.1. Location
The gate can be fitted either inside the opening or stairway or on the wall besides the
opening or stairway.

When fitting at the top of

Always make sure that the safety barrier is in the correct position according to the tem-
plate. Before mounting the gate, decide whether it should open left to right or vice
versa, and therefore which side will be most suitable for the handle.

3.2. Attaching the Gate and the Locking Hooks

For easy installation, use the provided
templates to mark the wall and locking
hook locations on the wall or frame.
If you do not have the template, the dis-
tances from the floor to the lower border
are 0.3cm (0.1in) for the lower locking
wall (C), 86.2 cm (33.9 in) for the upper
wall hook (D), 0.3 cm (0.1 in) for the lo-
wer locking hook (E) 86.0 cm (33.9in) for
the upper locking hook (F).
Mount the hook on the wall or frame with the screws (G). If mounting on wood, only use
the screws and do not drill holes unless necessary. If mounting onto concrete or brick,
drill holes and use the wall plugs(H). If mounting on any other material, be sure to use
an appropriate fixing system. Install the locking hooks to both sides of the wall or door
opening and make sure that the gate is properly stretched.
3.3. Use with Baseboards
The gate can easily be installed on top of baseboards at one location.

Measure the thickness of the baseboard and use with the suitable spacers.

Mount the hook and the spacers on the wall or frame with the screws(P) and use the
wall plugs (Q) if necessary.

5. Operating
With some exercise you can easily operate the gate with one hand.
5.1. Closing the Gate
Push down the button. Turn the button clockwise. Pull the gate out.
Hook the locking catch (B) onto the locking hooks(E) and(F) and it is automatically loc-
ked.
5.2. Opening the Gate
To open the gate, extend it to unhook it the same way as to close it. Then roll it up. The
gate makes a warning noise when rolling up. The warning sound can be avoided by
holding the button pressed down until the gate is fully retracted. This requires two-hand
operation.
6. Maintenance
Wipe surface with a damp cloth or sponge with mild detergent and warm water. Never
clean with abrasive, ammonia based, bleach based or spirit type cleaners.

Die Sicherheitsbarriere darf nicht vor Fenstern befestigt werden.
Diese Sicherheitsbarriere entspricht der Norm EN 1930:2011.
Diese Sicherheitsbarriere ist nur zur privaten Nutzung bestimmt.
Diese Sicherheitsbarriere ist für Kinder bis 24 Monate geeignet.
Wenn die Sicherheitsbarriere am oberen Ende einer Treppe verwendet wird, sollte
sie nicht unterhalb der obersten Stufe angebracht werden.
Wenn die Sicherheitsbarriere am unteren Ende einer Treppe verwendet wird, sollte
sie vor der niedrigst möglichen Stufe befestigt werden.
Die Sicherheitsbarriere sollte regelmäßig überprüft werden, um zu garantieren, dass

3. Installation
3.1. Position
Die Barriere kann entweder innerhalb der Türöffnung oder Treppe oder an der Wand
daneben befestigt werden.

platzieren Sie die Barriere

absatzes 15 cm von der
ersten Treppe entfernt.

Stellen Sie immer sicher, dass sich die Sicherheitsbarriere in der korrekten Position ent-
sprechend der Schablone befindet. Vor Befestigung der Barriere ist zu entscheiden, ob
es sich von links nach rechts oder umgekehrt öffnen soll, welche Seite also die beste für
den Türgriff ist.

3.2. Befestigen der Barriere und der Befestigungshaken

Um die Installation zu erleichtern, ver-
wenden Sie die bereitgestellten Scha-
blonen zur Markierung der Stellen für die
Befestigungs- und Verschlusshaken auf
der Wand oder dem Rahmen.
Falls Sie keine Schablone haben, be-
trägt der Abstand vom Boden zum un-
teren Ende beim unteren Befestigungs-
haken(C) 0,3cm, beim oberen Befesti-
gungshaken (D) 86,2 cm, beim unteren
Verschlusshaken (E) 0,3 cm und beim
oberen Verschlusshaken (F) 86,0 cm.
Befestigen Sie den Haken mit den Schrauben (G) an der Wand oder dem Rahmen. Bei
Befestigung auf Holz verwenden Sie nur die Schrauben und bohren Sie keine Löcher,
wenn dies nicht nötig ist. Bei der Montage auf Beton oder Ziegel bohren Sie Löcher und
verwenden Sie die Dübel (H). Bei der Fixierung auf anderem Material stellen Sie sicher,
dass Sie ein angemessenes Befestigungssystem nutzen. Installieren Sie die Befestigungs-
hakten auf beiden Seiten der Wand oder der Türöffnung und sorgen Sie dafür, dass die
Barriere ordentlich ausgerollt ist.
3.3. Verwendung mit Sockelleisten
Die Barriere kan problemlos an einer Stelle über Sockelleisten montiert werden.

Messen Sie die Dicke der Sockelleiste und verwenden Sie die passenden Abstandshalter.

4. Fixieren der Barriere

5. Handhabung
Mit etwas Übung können Sie die Barriere leicht mit einer Hand bedienen.
5.1. Schließen der Barriere
Drücken Sie den Knopf
nach unten.
Drehen Sie den Knopf im
Uhrzeigersinn.
Ziehen Sie die Barriere her-
aus.
Bringen Sie den Verschlusshaken (B) auf die Befestigungshaken(E) und(F) und es ist au-
tomatisch verschlossen.
5.2. Öffnen der Barriere
Um die BarriereBarriere zu öffnen, fahren Sie es aus, um es auf dieselbe Weise auszu-
hängen wie beim Schließen. Dann rollen Sie es auf. Die Barriere lässt ein Warngeräusch
ertönen, wenn es eingerollt wird. Diesen Ton können Sie vermeiden, indem Sie den Knopf
solange gedrückt halten, bis die Barriere vollständig eingerollt ist. Dazu bedarf es zweier
Hände.
6. Wartung
Wischen Sie die Oberfläche mit einem feuchten Lappen oder Schwamm mit mildem Rei-
nigungsmittel und warmem Wasser ab. Reinigen Sie sie nicht mit scheuernden, Ammoniak-
basierten, bleichenden oder alkoholischen Reinigungsmitteln.
