Normal Operation
DM mode
To turn the unit ON or OFF, the Top Button needs to be held for 1.5 Seconds. The
button LE will illuminate to show the unit is awake.
In Stand Alone Mode
To turn the unit ON or OFF, the button needs to be held for 1.5 Seconds. The button
LE will illuminate to show the unit is awake. A short push of the button will dim the
unit to the next level. There are 7 levels. When the button is pushed for the 7th time,
the unit will jump back up to full level.
In either mode when the battery voltage falls below 9.7V, the unit will go to sleep
and pulse the top button LE at a rate of 100mS ON, 1900mS OFF. The unit can’t be
switched back on until it has been recharged.
Address Settings
The address of the unit is set using 2 push buttons on the base. These are labelled UP
and OWN. Pushing the UP button will increment the address, pushing the OWN
button will decrement the address. If the unit is at 001 and you press the OWN
button, it will remain at 001. If you hold one of the buttons the address will slowly
increment/decrement gradually speeding up. When the address reaches 512 it will stop
at the boundary. You must then release the button and push it once again to get to
address 600. These boundaries are intended to make the addressing easier to
navigate. The boundaries are: -
1-512 Wireless MX Mode Address
601-650 Fixed Colour Mode
651-660 Colour Fade Sequence
661-670 Colour Snap Sequence
Any time you push UP or OWN the address will display for 5 seconds before blanking.
The address will be displayed for another 5 seconds upon pressing either button.
Wireless DM Mode (Address 1-512)
In W MX Mode – the unit will simply respond to the MX levels being received.
MX channel allocations are as follows:
Start Address Red Level
Start Address +1 Green Level
Start Address +2 Blue Level
A control channel may be added at a later date.
In W MX mode, the unit will hold the last MX value upon loss of signal or MX. The
unit will store this level when turned off so it can be resumed when it is powered back
up.
If the battery is disconnected, these values will be lost.
