Ice Storage Bin
Toremove:
Lift up the access door to reach the
icemaken Set the icemaker power switch
to the 0 (offl position. With the access
door closed, support the storage bin at
the bottom while slightlg lifting. Pull bin
straight out.
Toreplace:
Slide the bin back until the tab on
the bin locks into the slot on the shell
If the bin does not go all the wag back,
remove it and rotate the drive mechanism
1/4 turn. Then push the bin back again.
Important facts about your
ice and water dispenser
i_iDo not add icefrom trags or bagsto the
storage bin.It mag not crush or dispense
well.
_"Avoidoverfilling glass with iceand useof
narrow or extra-tall glasses.Backed-up ice
canjam the chute or cause the door in the
chute to freeze shut. If ice isblocking the
chute, poke itthrough with a wooden
spoon.
_<Beveragesand foods should not be
quick-chilled in the icestorage bin.
Cans,bottles or food packages in the
storage bin mag cause the icemaker
or auger tojam.
[4!¢Tokeepdispensed icefrom missing
the glass,put the glassclose to, but not
touching, the dispenser opening.
_<Somecrushed ice mag be dispensed
even though gou selectedCUBED.This
happens occasionallg when a few cubes
accidentallg get directed to the crushen
[_!¢After crushed ice isdispensed,some water
mag drip from the chute.
_<Thefirst glass ofwater dispensed mag
be warmer than the following ones.

A newly-installed refrigerator may take
12-24 hours to begin making ice.
The icemakerwill produce sevencubes per
cgcle-approximatelg 15 cgclesor more in
a 24-hour period, depending on freezer
compartment temperature, room
temperature, number of door openings
and other useconditions.
If the refrigerator isoperated before
the water connection ismade to the
icemaker,set the power switch to 0 (off).
When the refrigerator has been connected
to the water supplg, set the power switch
to t (onl. The green light will come on.
Throw awag the first full bucket of ice.
Besure nothing interferes with the sweep
ofthe feelerarm.
When the bin fills to the levelofthe feeler
arm, the icemaker will stop producing ice.
It is normal for several cubes to be joined
together.
If ice isnot used frequentlg, old icecubes will
become cloudg, taste stale and shrink.
After the icemaker hasbeen turned on again,
therewill be a delag of about 45 minutes
beforethe icemaker resumes operations.
NOTE:Inhomes with lower-than-average
water pressure,gou mag hear the icemaker
water valve cgcle on severaltimes when
making one batch of ice.Recommended
water pressure is 60 psi.
