Aboutthe variablespeed motor.(onsomemodels)
Models WNSBgOSOand WNSB9100use an advanced variable speed motor to provide you
with superior clothes care and wash cycle flexibility. The use of this motor allows your
washer to agitate, more slowly than a conventional washm; and to spin at speeds that
more closely meet the needs of your clothing.
Some ,a-ash cycles are pulsed, and will agitate and soak to provide you with better
cleaning mid less wear on your clothing. Some spin cycles will start slowly and then
acceleram, allovdng more water to be removed from the clothes with less wrinkling.

STAIN WASH (on some models)
For heavily soiled or stained items. Adds an extra agitation and soak at the beginning
of the wash cycle.
QUICKRINSE (on some models)
Use this feature to quickly rinse chlorine, perspiration, stains, etc. out of clothes.
• The washer fills with warm; agitates for three minutes, drains and spins. You may
change the automatic settings if desired.
HANG DRY (on some models)
If"you air dry your clothes without the aid of" a drym; you may find that the slower final
spin speed of the Hang Dry setting produces fewer wrinkles in your clothing. This may"
significantly reduce your ironing chore.

• After you have selected a new cycle, press once to start the cycle.
• Press twice to select the last cycle used and start the washeE
• If the washer is running, press once to interrupt the cy'cle; press again to continue
the cy'cle.
STOP
This pad should notbe used to interrupt or pause a cycle.
Pressing this pad will cancel the current settings and the settings will be lost.

Estimated time Remaining
• Displays the approximate time remaining until the end of the cycle.
• If the estimated time remaining is more than 60 minutes, "IH" will flash in the
displaT¢;followed by the additional remaining minutes. When the time remaining is
less than 60 minutes, the timer will count down.
• Cycle time is affected by"how long it takes the wa_sher to fill This depends on the
water pressure in your home. The "smart" timer "learns" the amount of time it
takes to fill your ,a-asher and adjusts the total time accordingly.
NOTE:If PRESOAKis selected and a follow up wash cycle is not chosen, two dashes
will come up in the display.
Spot Spray
Provides a short spray of water ro allow you to dampen clothing when you pretreat stains.

BLEACHSIGNAL (on some models)
_12qeBleach Signal is a reminder signal that can be turned on to remind you to add bleach at
the proper time in the wash cycle. Adding detergent and bleach at the same time reduces the
effectiveness of both the enzymes in the detergent and the chlorine in the bleach. By adding
bleach later in the wash cycle, }_u allow the detergent's enzymes to remove dirt and stains fiJ.'st,
and then provide a more eflective dose of liquid bleach to whiten and sanitize 7€_urclothes.

The cycle status indicator lights display what part of the cycle the washer is in.

PerfecTemp Plus senses the incoming water temperature and adjusts the temperature
of the fill ,a-ateE
The lid must be closed for PorfocTomp Plus to work.
If your water is too cold, detergent will not dissolve effectively and clothes may" not get
clean. If the ,a-ater is too hot, fabrics could be damaged.
PorfecTomp Plus adjusts these ,a-ater temperature extremes for better washing
performance.
You may hear the ,a-ater valves turning offand on while the water temperature is being
adjusted. This is normal.
Some models have an indicator light that tells you when PorfecTomp Plus is active.
AUTOBALANCE
Auto Balance (on some models)
The Auto Balance feature senses the _a-ash load distribution for an even spin. Models
with Auto Balance have an indicator light that tells you when the feature is active.

Liquid Bleach Dispenser

[_ Measure liquid bleach carefully, following insmmtions on the bottle.
•Never pour undiluted liquid chlorine bleach directly onto clothes or into the wash basket.
• Do notpourpowdered bleach into bleach dispenser
[_] Before starting the v_ashm, pour measured amount of bleach directly into bleach
dispensm: Avoid splashing or over-filling dispenser. If you prefer to use powdered
bleach, add it into the wash basket with your detergent.

The Agitator Cap or Fabric Softener Dispenser
The agitator cap fits into the top of the
agitaton If it accidentally comes off, simply

the inside of the cup with your fingers. Dispenser cup will pop fi'ee fi'om the coven

following solution:

• 1/4cup(60ml)heavyduty liquiddetergent

SortingWashLoads
Sort by color (whites, lights, colors), soil level,
fabric type (sturdy cottons, easy care, delicates),
and whether the fabric produces lint (terry cloth,
chenille), or collects lint (velveteen, corduroy).
ProperUseofDetergent
Using mo much detergent isa common cause
of laundry problems. Today's detergents are
formulated to be ef{ective without highly visible
sudsing. Be sure to carefiflly read and follow
manufacturer's recommendations for how
much detergent to use in your w_ash.
You can use less detergent if you have soft w-ater,
a smaller load or a lightly soiled load.
LoadingtheWasher
Load dry items loosely, no higher than the
top row of holes in the washer basket.
When loading wet items make sure you set
the load/v_-ater level high enough to allow
the items to move fl'eely: Water level should
just cover the clothes. To add items after
washer has started, lift the lid and submerge
additional items next to the agitator.
•Donot wrap long items like sheets or pants
around the agitator.
• Donot wash fabrics containing flammable
materials (waxes, cleaning fluids, etc.).
• Agitation will not start with the lid up.

the basket, use a clean soft cloth dampened with
