WARNING
For your safety, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize the risk of fire or explosion, electric
shock, or to prevent property damage, personal injury, or loss of life.
Be sure to read and understand the entire Owner’ s Manual before attempting to install or operate this water
heater. It may save you time and cost. Pay particular attention to the Safety Instructions. Failure to follow these
warnings could result in serious bodily injury or death. Should you have problems understanding the instructions
in this manual, or have any questions, STOP and get help from a qualified service technician or the local electric
utility.
CAUTION
Risk of Fire - Hydrogen gas can be produced in a hot water system served by this water heater that has
not been used for a long period of time (generally two weeks or more). HYDROGEN GAS IS EXTREMELY
FLAMMABLE!! To dissipate such gas and to reduce risk of injury, it is recommended that the hot water faucet be
opened for several minutes at the kitchen sink before using any electrical appliance connected to the hot water
system. If hydrogen is present, there will be an unusual sound such as air escaping through the pipe as the water
begins to flow. Do not smoke or use an open flame near the faucet at the time it is open.
WARNING
Risk of Fire - DO NOT store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or
any other appliance. Keep rags and other combustibles away.
WARNING
If the water heater has been subjected to flood, fire, or physical damage, turn off power and water to the
water heater.
Do not operate the water heater again until it has been thoroughly checked by qualified service personnel.
Safety Precautions
A. Do turn off power to water heater if it has been subjected to overheating, fire, flood or physical damage.
B. Do Not turn on water heater unless it is filled with water.
C. Do Not turn on water heater if cold water supply shut-off valve is closed.
NOTE: Flammable vapors may be drawn by air currents from surrounding areas to the water heater.
D. If there is any difficulty in understanding or following the Operating Instructions or the Care and Cleaning
section, it is recommended that a qualified person or serviceman perform the work.
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and
dangerous operation. Verify proper operation after servicing.
The appliance and its individual shutoff valve must be disconnected from the gas supply piping system during any
pressure testing of that system at test pressures in excess of 1/2 psi (3.5 kPa). The appliance must be isolated
from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual manual shutoff valve during any pressure testing of the
gas supply piping system at test pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psi (3.5 kPa).

DANGER There is a Hot Water SCALD Potential if the
water temperature thermostat is set too high.
The thermostat for this water heater has been set at the factory
to 125°F (52°C) to reduce the risk of scald injury.
WATER TEMPERATURE
Safety, energy conservation, and hot water capacity are factors
to be considered when operating a water heater. Water
temperatures above 125°F can cause severe burns or death from
scalding. Be sure to read and follow the warnings outlined on the
label pictured to the left. This label is also located on the water
heater.

SAFETY CONTROLS
The water heater is equipped with a combination
thermostat and high limit Energy-Cut-Off control (ECO)
that is located above the heating element in contact
with the tank surface. If for any reason the water
temperature becomes excessively high, the high limit
control (ECO) breaks the power circuit to the heating
element. Once the control opens, it must be reset
manually. Resetting of the high limit control should be
done by a qualified service technician.
CAUTION The cause of the high temperature
condition must be investigated by a qualified
service technician and corrective action must be
taken before placing the water heater in service
again.
To reset the temperature-limiting control:
1. Turn off the power to the water heater.
2. Remove the thermostat cover.
3. Press the applicable RESET button.
4. Replace thermostat cover.
5.Ensure the water heater is operating properly
after resetting the ECO.

This water heater can produce carbon monoxide,
which is an odorless and life threatening gas. Follow
these instructions for proper installation of this
appliance.
Warning
Fire and/or Electrical Shock Hazard. Failure to

Shut of the gas supply, disconnect the 120 VAC
power to the RV, and disconnect the 12 VDC battery
connection before installing this water heater or
drilling/cutting into the RV. Make sure there are no
electrical wiring or piping inside the RV wall at the
installation location.
Warning
Electrical grounding instructions.
This appliance is equipped with a three-prong plug
for your protection against shock hazards and should
be plugged directly into a properly grounded three-
prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the
grounding prong from this plug. Failure to obey this
warning could result in death or serious injury.

Installation Location
Planning the location of the water heater within the RV:
•The location of this water heater within the RV should be considered before constructing the sidewalls of
the trailer or vehicle. Make sure to choose a location with adequate clearance and depth to accommodate
this water heater design.
•Do not install the water heater such that the vent can be covered or blocked when any door on the RV is
opened.
•Do not install the water heater to where the vent terminates below a slide out. This appliance is not to be
installed under any overhang.
•The tank of the water heater must be supported such that it is level with bottom of the sidewall cutout.
•It is recommended to provide adequate clearance and access to the rear water connections of the water
heater for easy servicing and winterizing.
•If the water heater is installed where a plumbing connection or tank leakage could damage the
surrounding area, it is recommended to install a drain pan that is plumbed to drain outside of the RV.
•Do not install the water heater directly onto to carpeting. If required, place a metal or wooden shield
directly under the entire area of the water heater.

1. After the sidewalls of the RV have been constructed, cut the required opening size for the water heater per
the table below.

2. Frame the cutout with 2" x 2" (5.1 cm x 5.1 cm) lumber or the equivalent metal framing.
3. Screw the water heater to the framed opening using (specify screw type here) through the clearance holes
provided in the water heater case. These hole locations are shown in the figure below.
4. Add blocking on both side of the water heater tank to prevent movement of the water heater. To install
blocking, follow the below instructions:
a. Place the water heater in the cutout location.
b. At the back of the tank (near the water connections) measure the distance between the side of the
cutout and the side of the tank.
c. Mark the appropriate distance measured in the previous step and place a 2" x 2" x 6" long block of
wood at these location on both sides of the water heater tank.
d. Secure the wood blocks to the floor using an appropriate screw or equivalent method.
5. Secure the control board enclosure to the floor near or side walls near the water heater using the
appropriate screw or fastener. Place the control board in a location that can be accessed for future
servicing.

WATER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS
Refer to the illustration below for recommended installation. The HOT and COLD water connections are
clearly marked by red (HOT) and blue (COLD) covers. Both connections are 1/2” male NPT on all models.
When connecting to the inlet/outlet ports, the use of 1/2” female NPT tapered thread fittings with use of thread
sealant is recommended.
NOTE: It is recommended to install this water heater with a bypass configuration for an easy winterizing
process of the the RV.
IMPORTANT: Do not apply heat to the HOT or COLD water connections. If sweat connections are used,
sweat tubing to adapter before fitting the adapter to the cold water connections on heater. Any heat
applied to the hot or cold water connection will permanently damage these ports.
Typical installation can be found in the diagram below.
Installing the Water Connections
1. Remove the red cover from the 1/2" NPT hot water connection.
2. Apply thread tape or sealant to the 1/2" NPT port on the water heater and then connect the water line
directly to this port using the correct female 1/2" NPT fitting.
3. Remove the blue cover from the 1/2" NPT cold water connection.
4. Apply thread tape or sealant to the 1/2" NPT port on the water heater and then connect the water line
directly to this port using the correct female 1/2" NPT fitting.
Bypass Plumbing Configuration
It is recommended to install this water heater with a bypass configuration for an easy winterizing process of the
RV. Typical bypass configuration can be found below:

GAS SUPPLY CONNECTIONS
1. Route the 3/8" flared LP gas supply line through the opening in the water heater front case.
Note: it may be necessary to remove the rubber grommet, make the gas connection, then reinstall the
grommet.
2. Connect the 3/8" flared fitting to gas valve located on the water heater. When making this gas
connection, hold the gas fitting on the valve with a wrench while tightening the flare nut.
3. If necessary, reinstall the rubber grommet at the gas line opening. It is important for this grommet to
have an air tight seal to prevent moisture or flue gas products from venting through the opening. It is
recommended to caulk around this area after completing the gas line installation to ensure an air tight
seal.
Warning
Only connect this water heater to the type of gas listed on the rating plate. Any attempt to adapt the
water heater for use with a different type of gas could casue hazardous operating conditions.
•This water heater is designed for use with liquid propane (LP) gas only.
•The gas line must be composed of an approved gas piping material.
•Gas pressure to the valve inlet must not exceed 13" w.c. for the LP gas supply.
Leak Testing
•The water heater and its gas connection must be leak tested at normal operating pressure before placing
the appliance in operation.
•Turn ON the main gas supply to the RV at the LP gas tanks and check for leaks by applying a soapy water
mixture on all gas fittings, including the factory connections. Presence of bubbles indicate a gas leak, which
must be corrected before completing the installation.
Warning
Never use an open flame to test for gas leaks, as property damage, personal injury, or death could result.
The maximum inlet gas pressure must not exceed the value specified by the manufacturer and the
minimum value listed is for the purpose of input adjustment.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read all instructions before using this water heater.
2. This water heater must be grounded. Connect only to a properly grounded outlet.
3. Install or locate this water heater only in accordance with the provided installation instructions.
4. Use this water heater only for its intended use as described in this manual.
5. Do not use an extension cord set with this water heater. If no receptacle is available adjacent to the water
heater, contact a qualified electrician to have one properly installed.
6. As with any appliance, close supervision is necessary when used by children.
7. Do not operate this water heater if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has
been damaged or dropped.
8. This water heater should be serviced only by qualified service personnel. Contact the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
9. Do not use surge protectors or multi-outlet adapters with this water heater.
WARNING When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons should be followed, including:
CAUTION: A damaged power supply cord must be replaced with one supplied by the unit manufacturer and
not repaired.
Electrical Connections: 12 VDC Control Connection
This water heater must be connected to a 12 VDC battery connection through the control switch to turn
on/off both the gas and electric heating element.
The wiring linking the water heater connection point to the control switch location is to be provided by the
installer and routed between the control switch installation location and the water heater. Use a minimum
wire size of 18 AWG, UL or CSA approved wiring. See page 14 for installation of the control switch.
INSTALLING 12 VDC CONNECTIONS
1. Locate the four colored wire bundle on the top of
the water heater and the pre-installed wire bundle
routed from the control switch.
2. Connect the appropriate wire from the water heater
to the pre-installed wire bundle.
•Green - Ground Connection
•White - Electric heating control switch
•Orange - Gas heating control switch
•Blue - Indicator light
NOTE: The electrical connections must be made in
accordance with all local and national codes and
regulations. In the absense of a locale code or
regulation, refer to the latest edition of the National
Electric Code NFPA No. 70.
12 Volt DC Connections

Installation Instructions
•A separate branch circuit with copper conductors, overcurrent protective, suitable disconnecting
means, and a properly grounded outlet must be provided by the installer.
•All wiring must conform to local codes or latest edition of National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70.
•The water heater is provided with a factory installed three-prong power cord for easy installation.
−The plug must be installed to a UL approved, dedicated, 15A minimum, properly grounded
outlet.
•The voltage requirements and wattage load for the water heater are specified on the rating label.
•The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover any damage or defect caused by installation, attachment
or use of any type of energy-saving or other unapproved devices (other than those authorized by the
manufacturer) into, onto or in conjunction with the water heater. The use of unauthorized energy-
saving devices may shorten the life of the water heater and may endanger life and property.
The manufacturer disclaims any responsibility for such loss or injury resulting from the use of such
unauthorized devices.
Electrical Connections: 120 Volt Supply
Warning
Risk of fire or electrical shock. Ensure both junction box covers and ground screws are securely
fastened for proper grounding. Proper ground connection is essential. The presence of water in the
piping and water heater does not provide sufficient conduction for a ground. Nonmetallic piping,
dielectric unions, flexible connectors, etc., can cause the water heater to be electrically isolated.
Do not disconnect factory ground.
Warning
Risk of damage to the water heater. The tank must be full of water before heater is turned on. The
water heater warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from operation with an empty or
partially empty tank.

Warning
Carbon monoxide, fire, and explosion hazard. Failure to obey the warnings below could result in
death or serious injury.
•This water heater must be vented and sealed properly to avoid carbon monoxide leak inside of the
RV.
•All combustion air must come from outside of the RV and all combustion exhaust gas must be
vented outside the RV.
•Do not vent this water heater with a venting system that serves another appliance.
•Do not vent this water heater to an enclosed area or directly into any combustible material.
1. Apply caulking or silicone sealant on the RV sidewall around the water heater framed opening as shown
in the below image.
2. Apply caulking or silicone sealant on the bottom of the water heater case as shown in the below image.
3. Insert the exterior access door frame into the water heater case. Ensure the flange of the door assembly
is inside the water heater case.
4. Open the access door to allow clear path for securing the door flange to the sidewall.
5. Secure the access door to the sidewall of the RV using the appropriate screws or fasteners (12).
6. Close the access door such that the two latches protrude through the slots in the door. Turn both latches
90 degrees and flip down to secure the door.

Control Switch
Risk of fire or electrical shock. Failure to follow the below instructions could result in death or
serious injury.
Planning the location of the control switch in the RV.
•The location of this control switch within the RV should be considered before constructing the sidewalls of
the trailer or vehicle. Make sure to choose a location with adequate clearance and depth to accommodate
this control switch.
•Make sure there are no wires or plumbing inside the RV sidewall at the installation location.
•Shut off the gas supply, disconnect the 120 VAC power from the RV and disconnect the 12 VDC battery
before drilling or cutting into the RV.
•When choosing the location of the control switch, make sure to choose an easily accessible are for both
use and service.
•The wiring linking the water heater connection point to the control switch location is to be provided by the
installer and routed between the control switch installation location and the water heater. Use a minimum
wire size of 18 AWG, UL or CSA approved wiring. See page 11 for installation of the control switch wiring.
•The wiring link the +12 VDC power from the RV battery to the control switch installation location is to be
provided by the installer and routed between the control switch installation location and the battery.

1. Cut the appropriate size hole to install the switch. Make sure to allow enough room to mount the switch
after completing the electrical connections in step 2.
2. Make the 12 VDC electrical connections:
Note: The front of the control switch indicates which switch controls each heating option (gas or
electric). The lightening bolt indicates electric heating. The flame indicates gas heating. It is
critical to wire the correctly for each heating option.
A. Install the black +12 VDC wire routed from the battery onto the double spade connector on the
back of the electric heating switch
B. Install the white wire routed from the water heater to the single spade connector on the back of the
electric heating switch
C. Install the orange wire routed from the water heater to the top spade connector on the back of the
gas heating switch.
D. Install the blue wire routed from the water heater to the top spade connector on the back of the red
indicator light.
E. Install a ground wire on the bottom spade connector on the back of the red indicator light and
connect to an appropriate grounding location.
3. Install the control switch into the open cutout making sure not to disconnect or pinch any wires.
4. Mount the control switch using four screws or appropriate fasteners in the locations shown.

TO FILL THE WATER HEATER
WARNING Risk of Unit Damage - The
tank must be full of water before heater is turned
on. The water heater warranty does not cover
damage or failure resulting from operation with
an empty or partially empty tank.
Open each hot water faucet slowly to allow the air to
vent from the water heater and piping.
A steady flow of water from the hot water faucet(s)
indicates a full water heater.
Condensation can form on the tank and fittings when
it is first filled with water. Condensation may also
occur with a heavy water draw and very cold inlet
water temperature.
This condition is not unusual and will disappear once
water is heated. If condition persists, examine fittings
for potential leaks and repair, as required.
RELIEF VALVE
WARNING Risk of Unit Damage - The
pressure rating of the relief valve must not
exceed 150 PSI (1.03 MPa), the maximum working
pressure of the water heater as marked on the
rating plate.
A new combination temperature and pressure-relief
valve, complying with the Standard for Relief Valves
and Automatic Gas Shut-Off Devices for Hot Water
Supply Systems, ANSI Z21.22, is supplied and must
remain installed in the opening provided and marked
for this purpose on the water heater. No valve of any
type should be installed between the relief valve and
the tank. Local codes shall govern the installation of
relief valves.
The BTUH rating of the relief valve must not be less
than the input rating of the water heater as indicated
on the rating label located on the front of the heater
(1 watt=3.412 BTUH).
The relief valve is a safety critical component, do not
remove or tamper with the relief valve for any reason
other than direct replacement by a qualified servicer.
Do not place a valve, plug, or reducer coupling on the
discharge port of the relief valve.
If a discharge line is used, do not use a reducing
coupling or other restriction smaller than the outlet of
the relief valve discharge.
A relief valve dripping while the water heater is
running does not mean it is defective. RV plumbing is
a closed system, water expansion during heating is
normal and may cause the relief valve to drip.
CAUTION
To reduce the risk of excessive pressures and
temperatures in this water heater, install temperature
and pressure protective equipment required by local
codes and no less than a combination temperature
and pressure relief valve certified by a nationally
recognized testing laboratory that maintains periodic
inspection of production of listed equipment or
materials, as meeting the requirements for Relief
Valves and Automatic Gas Shutoff Devices for Hot
Water Supply Systems, ANSI Z21.22. This valve
must be marked with a maximum set pressure not
to exceed the marked maximum working pressure
of the water heater. Install the valve into an opening
provided and marked for this purpose in the water
heater, and orient it or provide tubing so that any
discharge from the valve exits only within 6 inches
above, or at any distance below, the structural floor,
and does not contact any live electrical part. The

Operating Instructions
This water heater is designed for use in Recreational Vehicle applications.
Use only with liquid propane (LP) gas only.
Do not store or use gasoline or any other flammable vapors and liquids in close proximity of this appliance.
This water heater must be shut off during refueling of the RV or when the vehicle is in motion.
Gas Only Heating
The gas heating switch is indicated by a flame icon on the control switch. When turning this switch to the
"ON" position, the water heater will make three ignition attempts. When successful ignition has been
achieved, the indicator light will illuminate. If the gas system fails to ignite after three attempts, the indicator
light will blink. The gas control ignition sequence can be reset by turning the switch to the "OFF" position
then back to the "ON" position. If there are repeated sequences of failed ignition, there could be an issue
with you water heater requiring service.
Electric Only Heating
The electric heating switch is indicated by a lightening icon on the control switch. When turning this switch
to the "ON" position, the electric heating element relay will close and allow 120 VAC power to the heating
element.
Combined Gas and Electric Heating
For fastest hot water recovery, this water heater can run gas and electric heating modes simultaneously.
To engage both gas and electric heating, simply turn "ON" both the gas switch and the electric switch on
the control panel. The logic described in each above individual heating modes will apply in the combined
heating mode.
Extended Shutdown Periods
If the water heater is to remain idle for an extended period of time, the power and water to the appliance
should be turned off and the water heater drained to conserve energy and prevent a buildup of
dangerous hydrogen gas. This unit has no power button, power can only be shut off at the circuit breaker
or disconnect switch.
The water heater and piping should be drained if they might be subjected to freezing temperatures.
After a long shutdown period, the water heater’s operation and controls should be checked by qualified
service personnel. Make certain the water heater is completely filled again before placing it in operation.

Routine Preventive Maintenance
DANGER Risk of Scald - Before manually
operating the relief valve, make certain no one will
be exposed to the danger of coming in contact with
the hot water released by the valve. The water may
be hot enough to create a scald hazard. The water
should be released into a suitable drain location to
prevent injury or property damage.
Label all wires prior to disconnection when
servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause
improper and dangerous operation. Verify proper
operation after servicing.
Properly maintained, your water heater will provide
years of dependable trouble-free service. Keep
appliance area clear and free from combustible
materials, gasoline, and other flammable vapors and
liquids. It is suggested that the following annual
preventive maintenance program be established.
1. Inspect Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve.
2. Inspect heating elements, thermostats, and wiring
to each.
3. Inspect gas heating system and flue.
4. Drain and Flush the water heater tank.
5. Anode rod must be removed and inspected.
Temperature and Pressure-Relief Valve:
Once a year, it is recommended to lift and release the
lever handle on the temperature and pressure-relief
valve, located on the front-right side of the water heater,
to make certain the valve operates freely. if the
temperature and pressure relief valve on the appliance
discharges periodically, this may be due to thermal
expansion in a closed water supply system. Contact the
water supplier or local plumbing inspector on how to
correct this situation. Do not plug the temperature and
pressure relief valve.
Heating Elements and Thermostats:
Once a year, it is recommended to inspect the heating
elements, thermostats, and wiring to each. Inspection
should be completed by service personnel qualified in
electrical appliance repair.
Most electrical appliances, even when new, make some
sound when in operation. If the hissing or singing sound
level increases excessively, the electric heating
element may require cleaning. Contact a qualified
installer or plumber for inspection.

Gas Heating System and Flue
Keep the vent and combustion air intake clear of any dirt,
debris, or obstructions. Insects can build nests in the
burner tube, this will cause poor combustion. Listen for
changes in the burner sound or check for visual changes
in the flame appearance. These are indications of an
obstruction in the burner tube or flue. Inspect and clean
the flue on a regular basis. To clean run a wire flexible
brush down the burner tube to remove any obstructions.
Inspect the main burner orifice and sparking module to
ensure no blockage or collection of debris that could
disrupt the ignition system.
Periodically perform a visual inspection of the main
burner while in operation. If a different flame pattern or
color is noted or soot has built up in the burner, turn off
the water heater and contact a qualified service
technician.

Draining and Flushing the Water Heater
CAUTION Risk of Shock - Shut off power to
the water heater before draining water.

be exposed to the hot water released by the valve.
The water drained from the tank may be hot enough
to present a scald hazard and should be directed to
a suitable drain to prevent injury or damage.
A water heater’s tank can act as a settling basin for
solids suspended in the water. It is therefore not
uncommon for hard water deposits to accumulate in the
bottom of the tank. To clean the tank of these deposits, it
is recommended to drain and flush the water heater tank
once a year. To drain the water heater, follow these
steps:
1. Turn off power to the unit. The electric heating
elements will become damaged if operated without
water.
2. Turn off the gas supply at the LP container.
3. Turn off the cold water supply.
4. Remove the anode rod using a 1 - 1/16" socket to
drain the water heater (see anode rod maintenance on
page 20).
5. Admit air to the tank by opening a hot water faucet or
lifting the handle on the relief valve to drain.
Flushing the Tank:
1. Follow steps above to drain the water heater.
2. Once the water heater is empty, with the anode rod
removed, turn on the cold water supply.
3. Allow several gallons to flush through the water
heater.
4. Turn off the water supply and allow any water
remaining in the tank to drain.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until water runs clear.
6. Replace the anode rod and fill the tank before
returning power to the unit. The tank is full when water
runs out of a nearby open hot water faucet.
Flushing should be done with an empty tank to promote
additional removal of sediment.
Winterizing the Water Heater
In the event of freezing weather or long term storage,
the water heater must be winterized to prevent
damage.
1. Follow the previous steps to drain and flush the
water heater.
2. Check the anode rod condition and if necessary
replace with a new one.
3. If the RV plumbing system will be filled with anti-
freeze, it is important for the water heater to be
installed by with a bypass system on the hot and
cold water connections. When winterizing with
anit-freeze, make sure to engage the bypass
valves such that anit-freeze will not flow into the
water heater.

Anode Rod Maintenance and Service
Tools needed:
• Socket/Torque Wrench
• 1 1/16” Socket
•Pipe Joint Compound or Pipe Thread Sealant Tape
•Anode Rod, if needed

To service the Anode Rod:
1. Disconnect power, shut off the cold water supply, and
shut off the LP gas supply at the LP gas storage
tanks.
2. Using a 1 1/16” socket, unscrew the anode rod, then
lift out to inspect.
3. Inspect and replace if necessary.
4. To install the anode rod, seal the threads with pipe
joint compound or pipe thread sealant tape, thread
into the port tighten.
5. Turn water supply on, open a tap to remove any air in
plumbing system, fill water heater with water, inspect
for leaks, then turn the power on.
NOTE: Do not turn on power until water heater is
completely filled.

Routine Preventative Maintenance
Anode Rod
Anode rods are designed and installed to protect and
extend the life of residential water storage tanks.
The anode rod must be removed from the water heater’s
tank and inspected annually, and replaced when more
than 6” (15.2 cm) of core wire is exposed at either end of
the rod.* NOTE: Artificially softened water will cause the
anode rod to consume more rapidly.
Due to shock hazard and to prevent accidental water
leaks, this inspection should be done by a qualified
servicer or plumber, and requires that the electric power
and cold water supply be turned off before servicing the
anode rod.
NOTICE: Do not remove the anode rod from the water
heater’s tank except for inspection and/or replacement,
as operation with the anode rod removed will shorten the
life of the glass-lined tank and will void warranty
coverage.
*NOTE: Failure to replace the anode rod when
consumed voids the warranty for the tank. Warranty
coverage for all other components remains intact,
and is unaffected by this maintenance requirement. The
replacement anode rod, and the inspection for
consumption are not covered by warranty.
