HouseParty 5 Please read before use.
Features:
■Charges iPod / iPhone
■Line-in port for use with other music players
■Backlit touch controls
■Exposed yellow drivers
■Remote control
Getting started:
■Plug the power cable into the back of the
unit and then into the mains supply.
■Press the power switch to ‘ON’ at the back
of the speaker.
■Press on the unit (positioned just below the
symbol) or on the remote control to
power on.
■Press and hold on the unit or press on
the remote control to power off.
For use with
iPod / iPhone:
■Select and insert the correct docking adapter
to suit your iPod / iPhone.
N.B. Please ensure that you use the correct dock
adapter for your iPod / iPhone to avoid damage
to the dock connector. If the specific adapter is
not included, please use the adapter that was
provided by Apple with your iPod / iPhone.
GEAR4 will not be responsible for any damage
resulting in not using a dock adapter.
■Carefully insert your iPod / iPhone into the
dock, it will start charging upon connection.
■Press on the speaker or remote control to
play / pause your music.
■Press / on the speaker or remote control
to adjust the volume.
■Press on the speaker or remote
control to scan through tracks.
■Use the MENU button on the remote control
to navigate through the iPod / iPhone menus.
■Press the and buttons on the remote
control to navigate the various features of the
iPod / iPhone menus.
■Press the ENTER button on the remote
control to confirm your selection.
TO REPEAT TRACKS:
■To repeat the current track – press on the
remote control once.
■To repeat the whole album – press on the
remote control twice. Press again to cancel.
N.B. Status will be shown on the iPod screen.

For use with other
music players:
■Plug one end of the 3.5mm audio cable (not
included) into your MP3 or MP4 player and
connect the other end into the AUX line-in
port at the back of the speaker.
■Use your device to control the music.
N.B. Your iPod / iPhone must be removed
from the dock.

Unpack your unit carefully. We recommend that
you save the packaging in case you ever need
to store your unit. To avoid damage, never place

heating vents, under direct sunlight or near water.

‒ When disconnecting the power cables,
pull the plugs first. Do not pull the cords
by themselves.
‒ Never handle the power plug with wet hands,
as this could cause fire or electric shock.
‒ Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
‒ Do not open the housing.
‒ Do not twist or pinch the power supply cords.
If the plugs or power supply cords need to be
replaced, ensure that they comply with the
manufacturer’s recommendation.
‒ Unplug the unit during lightning storms and
when unused for extended periods of time.

collected separately by a local collection system.
Please act according to your local rules and

The lightning flash with arrowhead
symbol, within an equilateral triangle,
is intended to alert user to the
presence of uninsulated ‘Dangerous Voltage’
within the product’s enclosure that may be of
sufficient magnitude to constitute risk of electric

alert user to the presence of

Prise en main :
■Branchez le câble de courant alternatif au

Utilisation avec d’autres
périphériques audio :
■Branchez une extrémité d’un câble audio de
3,5mm dans votre lecteur MP3 ou MP4, et
branchez l’autre extrémité dans la prise AUX
au dos de l’unité. (Câble non fourni).
■Utilisez votre appareil pour contrôler la
musique.
Remarque : Votre iPod / iPhone doit être retiré.

Déballer l’appareil avec soin. Nous

MISE AU REBUT

Erste Schritte:

Verwendung mit anderen
Audiogeräten:
■Schließen Sie ein Ende des 3,5-mm-
Audiokabels (nicht inbegriffen) an Ihren,
MP3- oder MP4-Player an, und stecken Sie
das andere Ende in den AUX-Anschluss auf
der Rückseite des Geräts.
■Steuern Sie die Musikwiedergabe über das
Gerät.
Hinweis: Ihr iPod / iPhone muss
herausgenommen werden.

AUSPACKEN UND INSTALLIEREN
Packen Sie das Gerät vorsichtig aus. Es
empfiehlt sich, die Verpackung für den Fall
aufzubewahren, dass Sie das Gerät einmal
lagern müssen. Stellen Sie das Gerät oder seine
Akku nicht in der Nähe von Heizkörpern oder vor
einem Heizlüfter auf, und setzen Sie es weder

Primeros pasos:
■Conecta el cable de alimentación de CA a la
parte posterior de la unidad y luego a una
toma eléctrica.
■Pulsa el interruptor de alimentación, situado

colocarlo en la posición “ON”.
■Pulsa en la unidad (debajo del símbolo )
o en el mando a distancia para encender.

Para uso con
iPod / iPhone:
■Selecciona e inserta el adaptador de conexión
dock que corresponda a tu iPod / iPhone.
Nota : Asegúrate de que utilizas el adaptador de
conexión dock para tu iPod / iPhone para evitar
dañar el conector dock. Si no se incluye el
adaptador correspondiente, el conector dock
será universal, lo que significa que deberás
utilizar el adaptador proporcionado por Apple

■Introduce con cuidado el iPod / iPhone en el

■Pulsa en el altavoz o el mando a distancia
para reproducir o hacer una pausa en la
música.
■Pulsa / en el altavoz o el mando a
distancia para ajustar el volumen.
■Pulsa en el altavoz o el mando a
distancia para pasar de una pista a otra.
■Usa el botón MENU del mando a distancia
para navegar por el menú del iPod / iPhone.
■Pulsa los botones ydel mando a
distancia para navegar por las distintas
funciones del menú del iPod / iPhone.
■Pulsa el botón ENTER del mando a distancia
para confirmar la selección.
Para repetir pistas:
■Para repetir la pista actual, pulse una vez.
■Para repetir el álbum completo, pulsa dos
veces. Pulsa otra vez para cancelar.
Nota: El estado se mostrará en la pantalla
del iPod.
Para uso con otros
dispositivos de audio:
■Conecta un extremo del cable de audio de 3,5
mm (no incluido) a tu reproductor de, MP3 o
MP4 y conecta el otro extremo al conector
AUX situado en la parte posterior de la unidad.
■Usa tu dispositivo para controlar la música
