Congratulations on purchasing your Geemarc V2T-10. The
V2T-10 is an assistive listening device working with Text
Hear Personal Hearing Aid App running on your smart-
phone or tablet. It converts the speech to text and at same
time you make/receive phone calls through your telephone
line.
It is important that you read the instructions below in order to
use your Geemarc V2T-10 to its full potential. Keep this user
guide in a safe place for future reference.
Unpacking the V2T-10
When unpacking the V2T-10, you should find the following in
the box:
●V2T-10 Piece.
●9V ALKALINE BATTERY.
●RJ9 TO RJ9 Cord.
●3.5mm Plug to 3.5mm Plug Audio Cord.

Setting Up – How to set the battery or AC-
DC power Adaptor
Open the battery compartment by pressing the small plastic
lock on battery cover (1) located on the rear of the V2T-10
Piece. Insert the supplied battery (9V PP3) into the battery
compartment (2), and then replace the battery cover.
NOTE: Insert battery with the correct polarity as shown
in the battery compartment.
A 9V AC-DC Power Adaptor (not included) can be used to
power the V2T-10 unit.
Plug the Power Adaptor into the mains supply and plug the
other end of the lead into the DC Power Supply Port (3)
( ) on the right hand side of the V2T-10. Switch the
mains supply on.
NOTE: Make sure the correct polarity of Adaptor output
plug, centre is “+”.

Setting Up – How to Connect the V2T-10 to
the Telephone
To connect your phone to the V2T-10:
●Unplug the Handset cord from your telephone base socket.
●Connect one end of RJ9 to RJ9 cord supplied with the
V2T-10 to the telephone base socket and one end to the
input socket (4) ( ) located at the top of your V2T-10 .
●Connect your handset cord to the output socket (5)
( ) located at the front of your V2T-10.
IMPORTANT: The V2T-10 cannot be used with one-piece
telephones which have a keypad on the handset.
Setting Up – How to Connect the V2T-10 to
the Smart-Phone or Tablet
To connect your smart-phone or tablet to the V2T-10:
●Connect one end of 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord supplied with
the V2T-10 to the 3.5mm socket of your smart-phone or
tablet and one end to the Audio output port (6) ( )
located at the right hand side of your V2T-10.
●Download our Text Hear Personal Hearing Aid App from
Google play and run it on your smart-phone or tablet.
IMPORTANT: At this stage, The V2T-10 only can be used
with smart-phone or tablet running Android system.

Turning the V2T-10 On and Off
Put the mode switch (7) to ON position, The
Power On LED (8) will display RED, and the V2T is ready to
work.
To turn the V2T-10 off, put the mode switch (7) to OFF
position. The RED LED will switch off.
AUTO mode: Put the mode switch (7) to AUTO position, The
Power On LED (8) will display RED, if there has no phone
call for a certain minutes, the V2T will auto power off to save
battery life. When there is a phone call, the V2T-10 resumes
automatically.
Battery Indicator
The Battery indicator (8) should illuminate every time you
use V2T-10. If the LED start to fade or does not light when
your V2T-10 is in use, you should change the battery to
ensure optimum performance.
Making or Answering a phone call
When you want to make or answer a phone call, just do it as
you do with your telephone!.
IMPORTANT: If you don’t use the V2T-10 with Text Hear
Personal Hearing Aid App, You can turn the V2T-10 off to
save battery life. Turning V2T-10 to off will not affect your
phone calls.

●Download and run Text Hear Personal Hearing Aid APP
on your smart-phone or tablet.
●Connect the V2T-10 to your smart-phone or tablet as
instructed above.
●Put the V2T mode switch (7) ( ) to ON or AUTO
position.
●When you make, or answer a phone call, the speech will
be converted to Text in Text Hear Personal Hearing Aid
APP automatically.

- Select and Convert Voices to your Smart-
phone or Tablet
You can convert your voices to texts ( ) or both you
and friend’s voices to text ( ), using the voice convert
source selector (9) ( ) at the left side of V2T-10.
- Adjust Voice Volume send to your Smart-
phone or Tablet
You can adjust the volume send to your Smart-phone or
tablet by turning the wheel (10) ( ) at the left side of
V2T-10. Adjust the volume to get a best performance in the
APP.
- MUTE function during voice to text
converting
If you don’t want to convert the voice to text during phone
call, just press and hold down the MUTE button (11) on the
top of the V2T-10
