Product Description
MIO HDMI-CEXT is a DVI/HDMI coaxial cable extender, which is compose of a transmitter
and receiver. One converts the DVI/HDMI signal to serial data and transmits it via a coaxial
cable with BNC interface; the other receives the serial data and recovers the original
DVI/HDMI signal with high quality eventually. This extender avoids the serious issue of
signal attenuation caused by a long DVI/HDMI cable for long-distance transmission. The
maximum transmission distance is 100m (Belden 1694A).
MIO HDMI-CEXT supports DVI/HDMI input formats of 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI. Although
the device adopts DVI interface, the HDMI signal with embedded audio also can be
transmitted by using a DVI-to-HDMI adapter or cable, and the original signal, especially the
embedded audio, is recovered through the receiver with HDMI interface.

How To Connect the MIO HDMI-CEXT Extender System
1.Connect the MIO HDMI-CEXT Extender transmitter (interface marked as HDMI/DVI-IN)
to the DVI/HDMI source device, and you need a HDMI-to-DVI adapter when input

source is HDMI signal.
2.Connect the MIO HDMI-CEXT Extender transmitter (interface marked as CABLE-OUT)
and receiver (interface marked as CABLE-IN) together using a coax cable (maximum
transmission distance is 100 meters (Belden 1694)).
3.Connect MIO HDMI-CEXT Extender receiver (interface marked as HDMI/DVI-OUT) to
the DVI/HDMI display device or DVI/HDMI other device. And you need a
HDMI-to-DVI adapter if the device uses HDMI interface.
Connect MIO HDMI-CEXT Extender receiver (interface marked as LOOP) to the other
MIO HDMI-CEXT Extender receiver (interface marked as CABLE-IN) if needed.
4.Connect the included 12V DC power adapter to the MIO HDMI-CEXT.
