7.2-Decide whichformat youwant tohave
Choosedesiredvoicerecordingformatinsidethe “General”tabatthe topofthe screen:
Wav,Mp3, HQWav,HQMp3
MP3isrecommended duetoitsclarityandsmall filesize(oneminuteofrecording equates
to 65-120 KB).

Ensure“Apply”buttonispressedaftereachrelevantfunctionischosen.

Onlywhen thesoftcap“Apply”isnon-clickable,canthefunctionyouhavechosen take
effect.

Insidethe“General”tab,chooseeitherthe“Holddown”(press andhold)or“Click”
functions.
Click:clickbuttontostartfunction(recording); clickbuttonagainto stopthefunction
(recording).
Holddown: press andholdthebuttonto beginthefunction(recording); releasethe
buttontostopthe function(recording).

7.5.1-Button
Insidethe“General”tabonthetop,youcandefine foranyofthefollowingfive

Forexample,if the“click”functionhasbeen chosen,
Rec. Click buttontostartrecordingandclick buttonagaintostopthe
recording–therecordedaudiofilewill besavedintothechosendirectory(defaultdirectory
is“MyDocuments\VoiceMessages”).
Rec. andattach. Click buttontostartrecordingandclick buttonagainto
stoptherecording –thedefaultemail clientwill beopened and therecorded audiofilewill
beautomaticallyattachedinto the newemail.Finally,selecttherecipientandsendthe
email message.
Rec. andsavetofile. Thisfunctionutilizesthe samerecordingprocess asreferredto
above. Whentherecordingisfinished,EHSMonitorwill promptfortherecordedfilename
anddirectory(defaultdirectoryis“MyDocuments\Voice Messages”).Thefileisthensaved
forfutureuse.
Rec. andupload. Theencodingto mp3anduploading to the serverisbeingprocessed
duringtherecording.Aftertherecordingisfinishedthe linktotheeMic-messageonthe
serverisgeneratedandimmediatelypastedintothe windowwherethemouse cursorwas
atthebeginning oftherecording.
RecSkype/MSN. RecordsSkype,MSN, WindowsLive MessengerorotherVoIPsoftware
voiceconversations.DuringtheeMicinstallationSkypeandMSNwill beautomatically
configuredforthisfunctiontowork.Ifyouinstall Skype/MSNafterthe eMicorif youusea
differentVoIPsoftwareforthevoicecommunication,makesureth
atthevirtualdevice
