Selecting the default audio de ice

USB Skype telephone
Generally, the Windows operatin system will automatically
select any new audio device as the new default audio device.
This may or may not be your preference, dependin how to use
your computer. You may prefer to have your normal computer
sounds directed to your current audio device, rather then the
speaker on the phone, and only use the audio functionality in
the phone for VoIP calls.
To chan e the default audio device in Windows, open the
Control Panel and select "Sounds and Audio Devices" and select
the "Audio" tab. You should see a window similar to that:

USB Skype telephone
Notice that the default device for sound playback is currently set
to "Generic USB Audio Device". This is the name that Windows
assi ns the USB phone. To chan e your default audio device to
your ori inal sound card, simply click on the drop-down list box
and select your preferred device. You may want to do the same
for the sound recordin devices, particularly if you have a
microphone already connected to your current sound card.

After you have selected your desired default playback
device, simply press "OK" to close the dialo box.
