CLEANING: The product should be cleaned only with a polishing cloth or a soft dry
cloth. Never clean with furniture wax, benzine, insecticides or other volatile liquids
since they may corrode the cabinet.
ATTACHMENTS: Do not use attachments not recommended by the product
manufacturer as they may cause hazards.
WATER AND MOISTURE: Do not use this product near water, for example, near a
bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a
swimming pool; and the like.
ACCESSORIES: Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket,
or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious
damage to the product. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table
recommended by the manufacturer, or sold with the product. Any mounting of the
product should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and should use a mounting
accessory recommended by the manufacturer.
CART: Aproduct and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive
force, and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn.

VENTILATION: Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to
ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating, and
these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be
blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product
should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper
ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.
POWER SOURCES: This product should be operated only from the type of power
source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power
supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.
LOCATION: The appliance should be installed in a stable location.
NON-USE PERIODS: The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the
outlet when left unused for a long period of time.
GROUNDING OR POLARIZATION:
• If this product is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug (a plug
having one blade wider than the other), it will fit into the outlet only one way. This is
a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing
the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your
obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
• If this product is equipped with a three-wire grounding type plug, a plug having a
third (grounding) pin, it will only fit into a grounding type power outlet. This is a
safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your
electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the
grounding type plug.
POWER-CORD PROTECTION: Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are
not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying
particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where
they exit from the product.
OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING: If an outside antenna or cable system is
connected to the product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to
provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Article
810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with
regard to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the
lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of
antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for
the grounding electrode. See Figure B.
LIGHTNING: For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it
is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet
and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the
product due to lightning and power-line surges.
POWER LINES: An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of
overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into
such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme
care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits as contact
with them might be fatal.
OVERLOADING: Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral
convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY: Never push objects of any kind into this product
through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts
that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.
SERVICING: Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing
covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to
qualified service personnel.
DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE: Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
• When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged.
• If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the product.
• If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
• If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust only
those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adjustment of
other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified
technician to restore the product to its normal operation.
• If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way.
• When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, this indicates a need for service.

technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the
same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in

QUICK START GUIDE:
PH1/L1 (PHONO1/LINE1) INPUT: To connect into the CH 1, PH1/L1 INPUT (1), use a pair of stereoRCA cables.
PH2/L2 (PHONO2/LINE2) INPUT: To connect into the CH 2, PH2/L2 INPUT (2), use a pair of stereoRCA cables.

EFFECTinEFFECT mode. In SYNTH mode thewheel will adjust the BPM of thechosen SYNTH.
PARAMETER LED: InBPM modethe BPM of the selected INPUT will be displayed. In PARAMETER mode the EFFECT

INTRODUCTION:
Congratulations on purchasing a Gemini DSP-1 effect unit. This state
of the art effects processor is backed by a three-year warranty. Prior
to use, we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.

CAUTIONS:
1. All operating instructions should be read before using this equipment.
2. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not open the unit. There are,
NO USER REPLACEABLE PARTS INSIDE. Please refer servicing to a
qualified Gemini Sound Products service technician.
3. Do not expose this unit to direct sunlight or to a heat source
such as a radiator or stove.
4. This unit should be cleaned only with a damp cloth.
Avoid solvents or other cleaning detergents.
5. When moving this equipment, it should be placed in its original carton
and packaging. This will reduce the risk of damage during transit.
6. DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.
7. DO NOT USEANY SPRAY CLEANER OR LUBRICANT ONANY
CONTROLS OR SWITCHES.
CONNECTIONS:
On the rear panel of the DSP-1 are 2 STEREO PH/L (PHONO/LINE)
INPUTS (1,2),2 PH/L (PHONO/LINE) (3,4) buttons, and 2STEREO LINE
OUTPUTS (5,6). The PH1/1L1 (3) button enables you to set the PH1/L1
INPUT (1) to PHONO or LINE. PH2/L2 (4) enables you to set the PH2/L2
INPUT (2) to PHONO or LINE. The STEREO LINE INPUTS (1, 2) will
accept any RCA line level inputs such as a CD,DAT,MD,KEYBOARDS,
SAMPLERS,etc. and also TURNTABLE PHONO inputs. Connect the 2
STEREO LINE OUTPUTS (5, 6) to your DJ MIXER channels or PLAY
BACK DEVICE. Plug in the provided AC 15V ADAPTER into the AC 15V
(7) input and connect to a POWER source (electrical outlet), the DSP-1
will turn ON. When using turntables make sure that the ground wires
from the turntable are connected to the GROUND SCREWS on the
underside of the DSP-1 to ground any turntable inputs.
OPERATION:
1. CHANNEL 1 (CH1)/CHANNEL 2 (CH2): After the DSP-1 is connected,
make sure the power is on. Press either CH1 (8) or CH2 (9) to select
from the inputs PH1/L1 (1) and PH2/L2 (2). Make sure the VOLUME
(18) knob is loud enough to hear the chosen input.
2. SYNTH/EFX: Once a channel is picked, press SYNTH/EFX (10) to select
either SYNTH orEFX mode.
3. EFFECTS/SYNTHS: Now that SYNTH or EFFECT has been selected,
refer to the EFFECTS (11) or SYNTHS (12) lists, to select 1-12 effects.
NOTE: PLEASE REFER TO EFX/SYNTH SECTION BELOW FOR DETAILS.
4. 1-12: For EFFECTS (11) or SYNTHS (12), when the buttons 1-12 (13)
are pressed an effect will be selected. For the SYNTHS (12), when the
buttons 1-12 (13) are pressed a SYNTH noise will be played, press
and hold 1-12 (13) for LOOP mode. To remember an EFFECTS (11)
PARAMETER or SYNTHS (12) LOOP BPM, press and hold buttons
1-12 (13) to enable MEMO mode. The button that was picked from
1-12 (13) must be pressed and held down again to recall the setting.
5. PLAY/PAUSE: Pressing the PLAY/PAUSE (14) button will turn the
EFFECT and SYNTH,ON or OFF,for either CH-1 or CH-2,depending on
which mode that the DSP-1 is in.
6. PARAMETER JOG WHEEL: RotatingthePARAMETER JOG WHEEL(15)
will change the EFFECT PARAMETER and in SYNTH mode the
PARAMETER JOG WHEEL (15) adjusts the BPM of a SYNTH LOOP.
7. PARAMETER LED: The PARAMETER LED (16) displays the BPM or
PARAMETER settings. In BPM mode, the BPM of the selected inputs
CH1 (8) or CH2 (9) will be shown. In EFFECT mode the PARAMETER of
the EFFECT will be displayed, but in SYNTH mode the BPM of a SYNTH
LOOP will display.
8. PARAMETER LED MODE: To change from PARAMETER to BPM mode
press the PARAMETER LED MODE (17) button and vice versa.
9. VOLUME: The VOLUME (18) knob sets the VOLUME of the selected
input CH1 or CH2.
10.DRY/MIX: In EFFECT mode this knob sets the EFFECT DEPTH,however
in SYNTH mode the DRY/MIX (19) knob sets the SYNTH volume.
11.DSP-1 (STAND INSERT): Screw the DSP-1 (20) onto a standard
MICROPHONE STAND from the underside for mounting.
EFX/SYNTH:
After you choose the SYNTH/EFX (10) mode, you may choose from
1of 12, EFFECTS or SYNTH modes, here is how it works.
EFFECTS:
1. For the EFFECTS (11), you may choose 1EFFECT to use from the
1-2 (13) buttons.
2. When you choose an EFFECT adjust the PARAMETERS of the EFFECT,
by turning the JOG WHEEL (15). The PARAMETERS of the EFFECT that
is being used will INCREASE when the wheel is turned to the RIGHT,
and DECREASE when turned to the LEFT. TheEFFECTS PARAMETERS
range from 0-100,except for PITCH,which has a -99 to 100 SETTING.
3. Turning the DRY/MIX (19) will adjust the EFFECT DEPTH. If the knob is
to the LEFT or DRY,the EFFECT will be OFF or DRY. Turned to the
RIGHT or MIX, the EFFECT will be ON or WET.
EFFECTS:
1. Echo: Echo is when the original signal is delayed when being input
and then fed back into the signal creating the Echo effect. The length
of the echo increases when increase the parameter setting.
2. Delay: Delay takes the audio signal, and plays it back after the delay
time. The delay time can range from several milliseconds to several
seconds depending on how much the parameter is changed.

3. Pan: Pan simply pans the sound from the left and to the right. It will
speed up as you increase the parameter setting.
4. Phaser: Phaser works by shifting portions of the audio signal out of
phase, and then adding the processed signal back to the original one.
This way, narrow bands of the frequency range (“notches”) are filtered
out. When these frequencies are adjusted, a sweeping Phaser sound is
created. The depth of the Phaser will increase with the parameter
increase.
5. Flanger: Mixing the signal with a slightly delayed copy of itself, where
the length of the delay is constantly changed, creates Flanging. This
resembles the sound of a plane taking off and landing. The depth of the
Flanger will increase with the parameter increase.
6. Pitch: Pitch changes the pitch of the input signal just like a turntable
pitch setting. The Pitch effects parameter starts at 0. If you increase
the parameter, the pitch of the input will increase up to 100, when
decreased the parameter of the pitch will go down to -99.
7. Brake: This simulates the sound of a record stopping on a turntable.
The larger the parameter the longer it takes for the record to stop. Press
PLAY/PAUSE (14) to activate the Brake and start playback too.
8. Fade: Fade cuts off the audio signal in cycles, the length of the sound
will decrease as the parameter increases.
9. Low Pass: Low Pass filters out the other frequencies except the
low frequency. With a larger parameter you will hear it more.
10.High Pass: High Pass filters out the other frequencies except the
high frequency. With a larger parameter you will hear it more.
11.Band Pass: Band Pass filters out the other frequencies except the
mid-range frequency. With a larger parameter you will hear it more.
12.Chorus: The Chorus effect can make the signal sound like there are
different sounds being played. It also adds some thickness to the
sound, and is like the Flanger effect with a bigger delay and no
feedback. Turning the parameter jog wheel will increase the effect.
SYNTHS:
1. For the SYNTHS (12), you may choose one SYNTH effect to use from
the 1-12 (13) buttons.
2. Tap any of the 12 SYNTH effects to play them like a drum pad for
effects.
3. When you PRESS and HOLD a SYNTH EFFECT you will turn on the
SYNTH LOOP function. Use the PARAMETER JOG WHEEL (15) to
adjust the BPM of the SYNTH LOOP,by turning the JOG WHEEL. The
BPM of the SYNTH that is being used will INCREASE when turned to the
RIGHT, and DECREASE when turned to the LEFT. The SYNTH LOOP
BPM will start at 120 (0-179) BPM and when another SYNTH LOOP is
selected the previous EFFECTS BPM will be remembered.
4. Turning the DRY/MIX (19) will adjust the SYNTH VOLUME. If the knob is
to the LEFT or DRY,the VOLUME will be OFF or DRY. Turned to the
RIGHT or MIX, the VOLUME will be ON or WET.
5. Use the SYNTH (12) function for sound effects or to beat match a track.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
1. If the unit does not come on check the ADAPTER or POWER PLUG,and
make sure that either of them is properly connected.
2. If you hear no sound please check all you CABLES and CONNECTIONS,
and also make sure the proper KNOBS or BUTTONS are set right.

VERBINDUNGEN:
Auf der Rückseite des DSP-1 befinden sich 2 STEREO PH/L (PHONO/
LINE) INPUTS (1,2),2 PH/L (PHONO/LINE) (3,4) Tasten, und 2STEREO
LINE OUTPUTS (5,6). Die PH1/1L1 (3) Taste ermöglicht Ihnen zur
Einstellung des PH1/L1 INPUT (1) zum PHONO oder LINE. PH2/L2 (4)
ermöglicht Ihnen zur Einstellung des PH2/L2 INPUT (2) zum PHONO oder
LINE. Die STEREO LINE INPUTS (1, 2) werden jene RCA Inputs auf
Linienniveau sowie CD,DAT,MD,KLAVIERTASTEN,ABTASTER,usw.
undauchDREHSCHEIBE PHONO Inputs. VerbindenSiedie2 STEREO
LINE OUTPUTS (5, 6) mit den DJ MIXER Kanalen oder PLAY BACK
DEVICE. Schliessen Sie den bereitgestellten AC 15V ADAPTER an den
AC 15V (7) Input und verbinden Sie ihn mit einer STROM quelle (die
Dose), der DSP-1 wird EINSCHALTEN. Wenn Sie Drehscheiben
verwenden, überprüfen Sie, ob die Erdungsdrähte von der
Drehscheibe an die Grundschrauben an der Unterseite des DSP-1
angeschlossen werden, um alle mögliche Drehscheibeeingänge zu
reiben.
BEDIENUNG:
1. CHANNEL 1 (CH1)/CHANNEL 2 (CH2): Nachdem Sie den DSP-1
verbunden haben, sorgen Sie dafür dass Sie Strom haben. Drücken
Sie entweder auf CH1 (8) oder CH2 (9) zur Auswahl von PH1/L1 (1)
und PH2/L2 (2). Sorgen Sie dafür dass den VOLUME (18) Drehknopf
laut genug ist um den gewählten Input anzuhören.
2. SYNTH/EFX: Sobald ein Kanal selektiert ist, drücken Sie auf SYNTH/
EFX (10) zur Auswahl eines SYNTH oder EFX Modus.
3. EFFECTS/SYNTHS: Da SYNTH oder EFFECT ausgewählt worden
sind, verweisen Sie auf die Liste von EFFECTS (11) oder SYNTHS
(12), zur Selekion 1-12 von Effekten..
HINWEIS: BITTE VERWEISEN SIE AUF DEN TEIL DER EFX/SYNTHPLEASN UNTEN
4. 1-12: Für EFFECTS (11) oder SYNTHS (12), wenn die Tasten
angedrückt werden, wird ein Effekt selektiert.ns 1-12 (13). Fur die
SYNTHS (12), falls die 1-12 (13) Tasten angedrückt sind, ein SYNTH
wird gespielt, drücken Sie auf und halten Sie 1-12 (13) für den SYNTH
LOOP Modus. Um sich einen PARAMETER oder SYNTHS (12) an
LOOP BPM zu erinnern der EFFECTS (11), betätigen Sie und halten
Sie Tasten 1-12 (13) um SYNTH-Modus zu ermöglichen. Die Taste, die
von 1-12 (13) ausgewählt wurde, muß wieder betätigt werden und
niedergehalten werden, um die Einstellung zu erinnern an.
5. PLAY/PAUSE: Das Betätigen der PLAY/PAUSE (14) Taste dreht den
EFFEKT und das SYNTH, AN oder WEG, entweder für CH-1 oder CH-2,
abhängig von denen Modus, daß das DSP-1 innen ist.
6. PARAMETER JOG WHEEL: DieAbwechslung des PARAMETER JOG
WHEEL (15) wird den EFFEKT PARAMETER ändern und im SYNTH
Modus des PARAMETER JOG WHEEL (15) stimmt den BPM eines
SYNTH LOOP ab.
7. PARAMETER LED: Der PARAMETER LED (16)stellt die BPM oder
PARAMETER dar.Im BPM Modus, der BPM des ausgewählten Inputs
CH1 (8) oder CH2 (9) wird demonstriert. Im EFFECT Modus, wird der
PARAMETER oder der EFFEKT dargestellt, aber im SYNTH Modus,
wird BPM eines SYNTH LOOP dargestellt.
8. PARAMETER LED MODE: Falls Sie vom PARAMETER bis zum BPM
Modus verändern möchten, drücken Sie auf die PARAMETER LED
MODE (17) Taste und umgekehrt.
9. VOLUME: Der VOLUME (18) Drehknopf stellt das VOLUMEN ein des
ausgewählten CH1 oder CH2.
10.DRY/MIX: Im EFFECTModus, diese Taste stelltdenEFFEKT TIEFE ein,
jedoch im SYNTH Modus, stellt der DRY/MIX (19) Drehknopf das
SYNTH Volumen ein.
11.DSP-1 (FUßEINSATZ): Schrauben Sie DSP-1 (20) an einen
STANDARD MIKROPHONFUß von der Unterseite für Montagezwecke.
EFX/SYNTH:
Nachdem Sie den SYNTH/EFX (10) Modus gewählt haben, dürfen Sie
zwischen 1 order 12 wählen, EFFECTS oder SYNTH Modus, wie folgt
finden Sie eine Beschreibung zurück.
EFFEKTE:
1. Für die EFFECTS (11), Sie dürfen 1EFFECT wählen zum Gebrauch
von den 1-2 (13) Tasten.
2. Falls Sie einen EFFECT wählen, stimmen Sie die PARAMETERS des
EFFEKTES ab, durch das Drehen des JOG WHEEL (15) . Die
PARAMETERS des benutzten EFFEKTES wird STEIGERN wenn das
Rad nach RECHTS gedreht ist., and REDUZIERT when nach LINKS
gedreht. Der EFFEKTE PARAMETER erstreckt sich von 0-100,
abgesehen von PITCH,welche eine -99 bis 100 EINSTELLUNG hat.
3. Wenn Sie DRY/MIX (19) drehen, wird es die EFFEKT TIEFE abstimmen.
Falls der Drehknopf nach LINKS gedreht oder DRY ist, der EFFEKT
wurde OFF oder DRY. Nach RECHTS gedreht oderr MIX, der EFFECT
wird IN WIRKUNG oder NASS.

EFFEKTE:
1. Echo: Echo ist wenn das originale Signal verspätet ist bei dem Input
und ist danach in das Signal rückgekoppelt welche den Echo-Effekt
entwickelt. Die Länge des Echos erhöht falls es eine Erhöhung der
Parametereinstellunggibt.
2. Delay: Delay nimmt das Audiosignal und spielt es ab nach der
Laufzeitdifferenz. Die Laufzeitdifferenz kann variieren von
verschiedenen Millisekunden bis verschiedene Sekunden abhangend
von wieviel der Parameter geändert ist.
3. Pan: Pan einfach verreisst das Geräusch von links nach rechts. Es
wird beschleunigen when Sie die Parametereinstellung erhöhen.
4. Phaser: Phaser wirkt durch das sich gegenphasig wandelnden von
Teilen des Audiosignals, und dann das verarbeitete Signal bis zum
Original hinzufügen. Auf diese Weise, werden enge Bande des
Frequenzbereichs (“hotches”) herausgefiltert. Wenn diese Frequenzen
eingestellt sind, wird ein weitreichen Phaser Geräusch
entwickelt. Die Tiefe des Phaser wird erhöhen zusammen mit der
Steigerung des Parameters.
5. Flanger: Die Mischung des Signals mit einer leicht verspäteten Kopie
von sich selbst wo die Länge der Verspätung standig andert, Flanging.
Dies ähnelt das Geräusch eines Flugzeugs das startet oder landet. Die
Tiefe des Flanger wird erhöhen zusammen mit der Steigerung des
Parameters.
6. Pitch: Pitch andert die Tonhöhe des Inputsignals genauso wie die
Einstellung der Tonhöhe einer Drehscheibe. Die Pitch Effekte Parameter
starten auf 0. Falls Sie die Parameter erhöhen, die Tonhöhe des Inputs
wird bis zu 100 steigen, falls gemindert, wird der Parameter senken bis zu -99.
7. Brake: Dies simuliert das Geräusch des Aufhalten einer Schallplatte
auf einer Drehscheibe. Umso länger der Parameter, desto länger wird
es dauern um die Schallplatte zu stoppen. Betätigen Sie PLAY/PAUSE
(14), um die Brake zu aktivieren und Playback auch zu beginnen.
8. Fade: Fade trennt das Audiosignal ab in Zyklen, die Länge des
Geräusches wird abnehmen mit der Abnahme des Parameters.
9. Low Pass: Low Pass filtert die anderen Frequenzen heraus
abgesehen von der niedrigen Frequenz. Sie werden es mehr hören mit
einem großeren Parameter.
10.High Pass: High Pass filtert die anderen Frequenzen heraus
abgesehen von der höhen Frequenz. Sie werden es mehr hören mit
einem großeren Parameter.
11.Band Pass: Band Pass filtert die anderen Frequenzen heraus
abgesehen von der mittleren Frequenz. Sie werden es mehr hören mit
einem grosseren Parameter.
12.Chorus: Der Chorus Effekt kann dafür sorgen, dass das Geräusch
lautet als ob drei verschiedene Geräusche gespielt werden. Es fügt
auch etwas Stärke zum Geräusch hinzu und ist wie der Flanger Effekt
mit einer grosseren Verspätung und keiner Rückkopplung. Wenn Sie
das Parameter Jog Rad drehen, wird dies den Effekt erhöhen.
SYNTHS:
1. Für die SYNTHS (12), dürfen Sie ein SYNTH Effekt wählen zum
Gebrauch von den 1-12 (13) Tasten.
2. Tippen Sie jene der 12 SYNTH Effekte an um sie wie ein Trommelblock
für die Effekte zu spielen.
3. Wenn Sie ein SYNTH EFFEKTANDRÜCKEN und ANHALTEN,
verwenden Sie das PARAMETER JOG WHEEL (15) um den BPM oder
den LOOP ein zu stellen, und durch Abwechslung des JOG WHEEL.
Der BPM des benützten SYNTH wird STEIGEN wenn es nach RECHTS
gedreht ist, und wird SINKEN wenn es nach LINKS gedreht ist. Der
SYNTHS BPM wird auf 120 (0-179) BPM anfangen und wenn ein
anderer SYNTH selektiert ist, werden die vorherige EFFEKTE BPM erinnert.
4. Die Abwechslung des DRY/MIX (19) wird das SYNTH VOLUMEN
einstellen. Falls der Knopf nach LINKS oder DRY gedreht ist, wird das
VOLUMEN AUS oder TROCKEN sein. Falls der Knopf nach RECHTS
oder MIX gedreht ist, wird das VOLUMEN AN oder NASS.
5. Verwenden Sie die SYNTH (12) Funktion für stichhaltige Effekte oder
Gleiches zu schlagen eine Schiene.

En el panel trasero del DSP-1 hay 2 STEREO PH/L (PHONO/LINE)
INPUTS (1,2),2 botones PH/L (PHONO/LINE) (3,4), y 2STEREO LINE
OUTPUTS (5,6). El botón PH1/1L1 (3) le permite arreglar el PH1/L1
INPUT (1) sobre PHONO o LINE. PH2/L2 (4) le permite arreglar el PH2/
L2 INPUT (2) sobre PHONO o LINE. Las STEREO LINE INPUTS (1, 2)
aceptarán cualesquier entradas RCA de nivel de línea tales como CD,
DAT,MD,KEYBOARDS,SAMPLERS,etc. y también las entradas
PHONO delTURNTABLE (TOCADISCOS). Conecte las 2 STEREO
LINE OUTPUTS (5, 6) a sus canales DJ MIXER o PLAY BACK
DEVICE. Enchufe el ADAPTADOR CA 15V en la entrada AC 15V (7) y
conéctelo a una fuente de poder - POWER (salida électrica) ; el DSP-
1 se pondrá en marcha (ON). Al usar placas giratorias cerciórese de
que los alambres de tierra de la placa giratoria están conectados con
los tornillos de tierra en el superficie inferior del DSP-1 para moler
cualquier entrada de la placa giratoria.
FUNCIONAMIENTO:
1. CHANNEL 1 (CH1)/CHANNEL 2 (CH2): Después de conectar el DSP-
1, cerciórese de que esté activado. Oprima CH1 (8) o CH2 (9) para
seleccionar entre las entradas PH1/L1 (1) y PH2/L2 (2). Cerciórese
de que el botón VOLUME (18) esté arreglado suficientemente para
que se pueda oir la entrada seleccionada.
2. SYNTH/EFX: Una vez el canal seleccionado, oprima SYNTH/EFX (10)
para seleccionar la modalidad SYNTH o EFX.
3. EFFECTS/SYNTHS: Ahora que se ha seleccionado SYNTH o EFFECT,
véase las listas EFFECTS (11) o SYNTHS (12) para seleccionar 1-12
efectos.

4. 1-12: Para EFFECTS (11) o SYNTHS (12), cuando se opriman los
botones 1-12 (13), se seleccionará un efecto. Para los efectos
SYNTHS (12),cuando se oprimas los botones 1-12 (13), se producirá
un ruido SYNTH; oprima y mantenga el dedo en 1-12 (13) para la
modalidad SYNTH LOOP. Para recordar un PARÁMETRO o el LOOP
BPM de los EFFECTS (11) de SYNTHS (12), presione y sostenga los
botones 1-12 (13) para permitir a modo de la NOTA. El botón que fue
escogido a partir de 1-12 (13) se debe presionar y mantener otra vez
para recordar el ajuste.
5. PLAY/PAUSE: Presionar el botón de PLAY/PAUSE (14) dará vuelta al
EFECTO y al SYNTH, ENCENDIDO o APAGADO, para CH-1 o CH-2,
dependiendo de los cuales modo que el DSP-1 está adentro.
6. PARAMETER JOG WHEEL: El hecho de girar la rueda PARAMETER
JOG WHEEL (15) cambiará el EFFECT PARAMETERy en la modalidad
SYNTH la rueda PARAMETER JOG WHEEL (15) ajusta el BPM de un
SYNTHLOOP.
7. PARAMETER LED: El PARAMETER LED (16) muestra los arreglos BPM
o PARAMETER.En la modalidad BPM, el BPM de las entradas
seleccionadas CH1 (8) or CH2 (9) estará representado. En la modalidad
EFFECT, el PARAMETER del EFFECT estará representado, pero en la
modalidad SYNTH, el BPM de un SYNTH LOOP estará representado.
8. PARAMETER LED MODE: Paracambiar de PARAMETER a la modalidad
BPM, oprima el botón PARAMETER LED MODE (17) y vice versa.
9. VOLUME: El botón VOLUME (18) establece el VOLUME de la entrada
CH1 o CH2 seleccionada.
10.DRY/MIX: En la modalidad EFFECT, este botón establece elEFFECT
DEPTH; sin embargo, en la modalidad SYNTH, el botón DRY/MIX (19)
establece el volumen de SYNTH .
11.DSP-1 (STAND INSERT): Para montar, atornille el DSP-1 (20) en el
MICROPHONE STAND estándar por debajo.
EFX/SYNTH:
Después de escoger la modalidad SYNTH/EFX (10), se puede escoger
entre 12 modalidades de EFFECTS o SYNTH; aquí sigue cómo se hace.
EFECTOS:
1. Para EFFECTS (11), se puede escoger 1EFFECT para el uso de 1-2
(13) botones.
2. Cuando se escoge un EFFECT, ajuste los PARAMETERS del EFFECT,
girando la rueda JOG WHEEL (15). Los PARAMETERS del EFFECT
utilizado INCREMENTARAN cuando se gira la rueda a la DERECHA, y
DECRECERAN cuandose gira a laIZQUIERDA. Los EFFECTS
PARAMETERS varían entre 0 y 100,excepto para PITCH,que tiene
alcance de arreglo entre -99 y 100.
3. El hecho de girar DRY/MIX (19), ajustará el EFFECT DEPTH. Si el
botón se gira a la IZQUIERDAo DRY,elEFFECT estará OFF
(DESACTIVADO) o DRY. Cuando está girado a la DERECHAo MIX, el
EFFECT estará ON (activado) o WET.

EFECTOS:
1. Echo: Echo occurre cuando la señal original se retarda durante la
entrada y se reproduce después dentro de la señal lo que crea un
efecto Echo (Eco) . La alcance del eco aumenta cuando se aumenta el
parametro.
2. Delay: Delay toma la señal audio y la reproduce después del tiempo de
retardo. El tiempo de retardo puede variar entre algunos milisegundos y
varios segundos según el cambio del parametro.
3. Pan: Pan simplemente panoramiza el sonido de la izquierda hasta la
derecha. Su velocidad aumentará cuando se aumenta el parametro.
4. Phaser: Phaser funciona cuando se mete porciones de la señal audio
fuera de fase, y después añadiendo la señal procesada de nuevo a la
señal original. De esta forma, las bandas estrechas de la gama de
frecuencia se filtran. Cuando se ajustan estas frecuencias, se crea un
barrido de sonido Phaser. La profundidad del Phaser aumentará con el
aumento del parametro.
5. Flanger: La mezcla de la señal con copia ligeramente retrasada de si
misma, en la cual la longitud del retraso cambia constantemente, crea el
efecto Flanging. Parece al sonido de un avión que despega y aterriza.
La profundidad del Flanger aumentará con el aumento del parametro.
6. Pitch: Pitch cambia el tono de la señal de entrada como si fuera el
arreglo del tono de un tocadiscos. El parametro del efecto Pitch
comienza con 0. Si se aumenta el parametro, el tono de la entrada
aumentará hasta 100; cuando se reduce el parametro del tono, decrece
hasta -99.
7. Brake: Esto reproduce el sonido de un disco que se para en un
tocadiscos. Con parametro amplio, se requiere más tiempo para parar el
disco. Presione PLAY/PAUSE (14) para activar el freno y para
comenzar aparato de lectura también.
8. Fade: Fade corta la señal sonora en ciclos; la longitud del sonido
decrecerá si el parametro aumenta.
9. Low Pass: Low Pass filtra las demás frecuencias salvo la baja
frecuencia. Con parametro más amplio, se oirá más.
10.High Pass: High Pass filtra las demás frecuencias salvo la alta
frecuencia. Con parametro más amplio, se oirá más.
11.Band Pass: Band Pass filtra las demás frecuencias salvo la frecuencia
mediana. Con parametro amplio, se oirá más.
12.Chorus: Con el efecto Chorus, la señal puede sonar como si se
hubieran diferentes sonidos. También añade un poco de volumen al
sonido. Parece al efecto Flanger pero con más retraso y sin
reproducción. El hecho de girar la rueda Parameter Jog Wheel
aumentará el efecto.
SYNTHS:
1. Para SYNTHS (12), puede seleccionar uno efecto SYNTH de los
botones 1-12 (13).
2. Toque cualesquiera de los 12 efectos SYNTH para tocarlos como un
tambor.
3. Cuando oprime y mantiene el dedo en un EFECTO SYNTH, la función
SYNTH LOOP será activada. Utilice la rueda PARAMETER JOG WHEEL
(15) para ajustar el BPM del SYNTH LOOP,al girar la rueda JOG
WHEEL. El BPM del SYNTH utilizado AUMENTARA cuando se gira a la
DERECHA,y DECRECERA cuando segira ala IZQUIERDA. ElSYNTH
LOOP BPM empezará a 120 (0-179) BPM y cuando se selecciona otro
SYNTH LOOP, el EFFECTS BPM anterior será memorizado.
4. El hecho de girar el DRY/MIX (19) ajustará el VOLUMEN del SYNTH. Si
el botón está a la IZQUIERDA o DRY,el VOLUMEN estará OFF
(DESACTIVADO) o DRY. Si el botón está a la DERECHA o MIX, el
VOLUMEN estará ON (ACTIVADO) o WET.
5. Utilice la función SYNTH (12) para obtener efectos sonoros o para
hacer corresponder el ritmo de una pista.

Gemini. Ce effectue le processeur très moderne inclut les
caractéristiques technologiques les plus récentes et il est accompagné
d’une garantie de trois ans. Avant de vous en servir, lisez attentivement
toutes les instructions ci-après.

BRANCHEMENTS:
Sur le panneau arrière du DSP-1, il y a 2 BOUTONS STEREO PH/L
(PHONO/LINE) INPUTS (1,2),2 PH/L(PHONO/LINE) (3,4), et 2STEREO
LINE OUTPUTS (5,6). Le bouton PH1/1L1 (3) vous permet de régler
PH1/L1 INPUT (1) sur PHONO ou LINE. PH2/L2 (4) vous permet de
régler le PH2/L2 INPUT (2) sur PHONO ou LINE. Les STEREO LINE
INPUTS (1, 2) accepteront n’importe quelle entrée de ligne RCA telle que
par exemple un CD,DAT,MD,KEYBOARDS,SAMPLERS,etc.Ainsi que
les entrées PHONO du TURNTABLE . Branchez les 2 STEREO LINE
OUTPUTS (5, 6) aux voies ou canaux de votre DJ MIXER ou au PLAY
BACK DEVICE. Enfichez l’ADAPTATEUR 15V CA fourni dans l’entrée
AC 15V (7) et branchez-le à une source POWER (prise de secteur)) ; le
DSP-1 se mettra en marche (ON). En utilisant des plateaux tourne-
disques assurez-vous que les fils de masse de la plateau tourne-
disques sont reliés aux vis moulues sur le dessous du DSP-1 pour
rectifier toutes les entrées de plateau tourne-disques.
FONCTIONNEMENT:
1. CHANNEL 1 (CH1)/CHANNEL 2 (CH2): Après avoir branché le DSP-1,
assurez-vous que l’appareil est activé. Appuyez sur CH1 (8) ou CH2
(9) pour faire le choix des entrées PH1/L1 (1) et PH2/L2 (2). Assurez-
vous que le bouton VOLUME (18) est tourné suffisamment pour écouter
l’entrée choisie.
2. SYNTH/EFX: Dès qu’une voie ou un canal est choisi, appuyez sur
SYNTH/EFX (10) pour choisir la modalité SYNTH ou EFX .
3. EFFECTS/SYNTHS: Maintenant queSYNTH ou EFFECT a été choisi,
consultez les listes des EFFECTS (11) ou SYNTHS (12) pour faire le
choix parmi 12 effets.
NOTE: CONSULTEZ LASECTION EFX/SYNTH CI-APRÈS POUR LES DÉTAILS.
4. 1-12: Pour EFFECTS (11) ou SYNTHS (12), lorsque les touches 1-12
(13) sont appuyées, un effet sera choisi. Pour les effets SYNTHS (12),
lorsque les touches 1-12 (13) sont appuyées, un bruit SYNTH se
produira, appuyez et tenez le doigt sur 1-12 (13) pour la modalité SYNTH
LOOP. Pour se rappeler un PARAMÈTRE ou la BOUCLE BPM des
EFFECTS (11) de SYNTHS (12), appuyez sur et tenez les
boutons 1-12 (13) pour permettre au mode de NOTE. Le bouton qui a
été sélectionné de 1-12 (13) doit être appuyé sur et maintenu encore
pour rappeler l’arrangement.
5. PLAY/PAUSE: Appuyer sur le bouton de PLAY/PAUSE (14) tournera
l’EFFET et le SYNTH, DESSUS ou AU LOIN, pour CH-1 ou CH-2, selon
lesquels mode que le DSP-1 est dedans.
6. PARAMETER JOG WHEEL: La rotation de la roue PARAMETER JOG
WHEEL (15) fera changer l’EFFECT PARAMETER et dans la modalité
SYNTH la roue PARAMETER JOG WHEEL (15) ajuste le BPM d’un
SYNTHLOOP.
7. PARAMETER LED: Le PARAMETER LED (16) affiche les réglages BPM
ou PARAMETER.Dans la modalité BPM, le BPM des entrées CH1 (8)
ou CH2 (9) choisies sera affiché. Dans la modalité EFFECT, le
PARAMETER de l’EFFECT sera affiché, mais dans la modalité SYNTH,
le BPM d’un SYNTH LOOP sera affiché.
8. PARAMETER LED MODE: Pour changer la modalité de PARAMETER à
BPM, appuyez sur la touche PARAMETER LED MODE (17) et vice
versa.
9. VOLUME: Le bouton VOLUME (18) règle le VOLUME de l’entrée CH1

EFFETS:
1. Pour les EFFECTS (11), vous pouvez choisir 1EFFECT parmi les
touches 1-2 (13).
2. Quand vous choisissez un EFFECT, réglez les PARAMETERS de
l’EFFECT,en tournant la JOG WHEEL(15). Les PARAMETERS de
l’EFFECT utilisé seront AUGMENTÉS lorsque la roue est tournée à
DROITE, et seront RÉDUITS lorsqu’elle est tournée à GAUCHE. Les
EFFECTS PARAMETERS varient entre 0 et 100,sauf pour PITCH,dont
le SETTING/RÉGLAGE va de -99 à 100.
3. Le fait de tourner DRY/MIX (19) règlera l’EFFECT DEPTH. Si le bouton
est tourné à GAUCHE ou DRY,l’EFFECT sera désactivté (OFF) ou DRY.
TS’il est tourné à DROITE ou MIX, l’EFFECT sera activé (ON) ou WET.

SANS PRÉAVIS POUR DES RAISONS D’AMÉLIORATION.
EFFETS:
1. Echo: L’Echo se produit lorsque le signal original est retardé au moment
de l’entrée, puis réincorporé au signal ce qui crée l’effet Echo. La
longueur de l’écho augmente lorsque le réglage du paramètre est
augmenté.
2. Delay: Delay prend le signal audio et le reproduit après le délai d’attente.
Ce délai d’attente peut varier entre plusieurs millisecondes et plusieurs
secondes selon la modification du paramètre.
3. Pan: Pan panoramise simplement le son de gauche à droite.
L’augmentation du réglage paramétrique fera augmenter sa vitesse.
4. Phaser: Le Phaser marche en mettant des parties du signal audio hors
phase, puis en rajoutant le signal traité de nouveau au signal original. De
cette façon, les bandes étroites de la gamme fréquencielle (“crans”)
sont filtrées. Quand ces fréquences sont réglées, un son Phaser de
balayage est créé. La profondeur du Phaser augmentera avec
l’accroissement paramétrique.
5. Flanger: Le mélange du signal avec une copie légèrement retardée de
soi-même, lorsque la longueur du retard est constamment changée,
crée le phénomène de Flanging. Ceci ressemble au bruit d’un avion qui

6. Pitch: Pitch change la hauteur du signal d’entrée juste comme le réglage
de la hauteur d’un plateau. Le paramètre des effets Pitch commence à
0. Si vous augmentez le paramètre, la hauteur de l’entrée augmentera
jusqu’à 100; lorsqu’il est réduit, le paramètre de la hauteur du son ira
jusqu’à -99.
7. Brake: Ceci simule le son d’un disque qui s’arrête sur un plateau. Plus
grand le paramètre, plus long temps prendra l’arrêt du disque. Serrez
PLAY/PAUSE (14) pour activer le frein et pour commencer le playback
aussi.
8. Fade: Fade coupe le signal audio en cycles; la longueur du son sera
réduite au fur et à mesure que le paramètre augmente.
9. Low Pass: Low Pass filtre les autres fréquences sauf la basse
fréquence. Avec un plus grand paramètre, vous l’entendrez davantage.
10.High Pass: High Pass filtre les autres fréquences sauf la haute
fréquence. Avec un plus grand paramètre, vous l’entendrez davantage.
11.Band Pass: Band Pass filtre les autres fréquences sauf la fréquence
mi-gamme. Avec un plus grand paramètre, vous l’entendrez davantage.
12.Chorus: L’effet Chorus peut produire un son de signal comme s’il y
avait des sons différents. Il ajoute aussi une certaine “épaisseur” au
son. Cela ressembla l’effet du Flanger avec un retard plus important et
sans feedback. Le fait de tourner la roue du paramètre augmentera l’effet.
SYNTHS:
1. Pour les SYNTHS (12), vous pouvez choisir un effet SYNTH au moyen
des boutons (13) 1-12 .
2. Utilisez n’importe lequel des 12 effets SYNTH pour le faire jouer comme
une batterie ou tambour.
3. Lorsque vous pressez et gardez le doigt sur un effet SYNTH , vous
activerez la fonction SYNTH LOOP . Utilisez PARAMETER JOG WHEEL
(15) pour régler la fonction BPM du SYNTH LOOP,en tournant la roue
JOG WHEEL. Le BPM du SYNTH utilisé AUGMENTERA s’il est tourné à
DROITE,et il DECROITRERA s’il esttourné àGAUCHE. Le SYNTH
LOOP BPM commencera à 120 (0-179) BPM et quand un autre SYNTH
LOOP est choisi , le BPM des effets précédents sera mis en mémoire.
4. Le fait de tourner DRY/MIX (19) ajustera le VOLUME SYNTH . Si le bouton
est tourné à GAUCHE ou DRY,le VOLUME sera à l’arrêt (OFF) ou DRY. S’il
est tourné à DROITE ou MIX, le VOLUME sera activé (ON) ou WET.
5. Utilisez la fonction SYNTH (12) pour les effets sonores ou pour faire
correspondre un battement à une piste.
