GETTING THE BEST SOUND PERFORMANCE FROM YOUR TOURING/S+
TOURING/S+ is a very powerful high performance HI-FI system with audio capabilities much larger than its
size. To get the best audio performance out of your TOURING/S+, please follow these recommendations:
By placing TOURING/S+ 45° in a corner you get the best bass performance.
Place it at least 30 cm from a wall to ensure that bass radiator do not overwhelm the high frequencies.
Avoid objects or table shelf in front of the unit as they reect sound waves.
For optimal listening, place the unit on similar height as listening position.
If you hear a lot of distortion when playing music loud on TOURING/S+, please check and adjust the output
volume on the device you play from. Different devices such as smartphones, laptops etc. have very different
audio output levels that may effect sound quality if not adjusted.

OVERVIEW
You can play music from the following sources:
• FM radio.
• DAB radio.
• Mobile phone or computer via Bluetooth.
• Other devices with a line-in cable.
USING TOURING/S+
FM Radio
1.Press until the display shows “FM” and a frequency, for example
“103.2”.
2.Select an FM station with and :
• Use a single touch: change frequency by 0.1MHz.
• Hold down for a short time: automatically search for the next or previous
station.
3.After a few seconds the display will show the RDS information.
DAB / DAB+
1.Press until the display shows “DAB/DAB+”.
2.Select a DAB station with and . TOURING/S+ is compatible with
DAB, DAB+, DMR and DMB.

Keep pressed the or buttons to scroll the stations list.
When using your TOURING/S+ for the rst time, the radio needs to nd available
radio stations in your region (a scan function). After a SCAN, the stations will be
automatically stored.
• Hold down the button until “SCAN” displays. The indication will blink for
a few seconds, then the display will conrm that the rst station has been found.
“SCAN” is also needed after traveling to a new location that provides different
radio stations, or when you move the radio to a different room with a different
radio reception.
Presets
You can save six FM stations plus six DAB stations. To save a preset:
1. Select the station you want to save.
2. Long press until the display shows “PRESET 1” as blinking.
3. If you want to save using a different PRESET number, press or
to select the desired number.
4. After, long press to save the station.
To recall a preset:
1. Short press . The display will show the rst saved preset. If a saved
station is playing , the display will show the next saved preset.

To connect a source device to your TOURING/S+, you need a stereo audio cable
with 3.5mm jack plug connector.
1. Connect the cable to the audio source device (headphone or line-out plug).
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the line-In socket on the back of the
TOURING/S+. The unit will automatically change mode to LINE IN.
3. By disconnecting the cable from TOURING/S+, the unit will return to the
previously selected mode.
Bluetooth
Mobile phones and computers with Bluetooth can connect to the TOURING/S+
and play music. The mobile phone or computer must support Bluetooth A2DP.
Initial set-up (“pairing”):
1. Press the key. The display will show “BLUE”. Wait for 20 seconds until
the display shows “PAIRING” as blinking .
2. Select “settings” on your mobile phone. Select “General/Bluetooth”. Turn on
Bluetooth. New Bluetooth devices are discovered automatically (on some devi-
ces you will need to press ‘scan’).
3. After a few seconds, “TOURING/S+” will appear.
4. Select “TOURING/S+”. The mobile phone is now connecting (“pairing”) to the
TOURING/S+.
5. If the mobile phone asks for a PIN, enter “0000” (four zeros).
6. You can now play music on your mobile phone and listen to it on the TOUR-

After a few minutes of inactivity, the device will automatically turn itself off to save
battery.
What is the pin for a Bluetooth connection?
The PIN is 0000 (four zeros). Not all computers or mobile phones require a pin
code during initial set-up (pairing ).
I have an unreliable connection via Bluetooth and there are dropouts.
• Move the mobile phone closer to the TOURING/S+.
• Move or turn off other wireless devices that can disturb a Bluetooth connection
(for example Wi-Fi, other mobile phones etc).
How do I know if the battery is charging?
A small dot on the lower right of the display will turn on if the battery is being
charged.
When the charger is being connected the display will also show “CHARGE”.
How can I check the battery charge?
A dot on the lower right corner of the display shows the battery status:
• OFF: battery fully charged.
• Blinking: battery is low.
When the battery is low, the volume will automatically be limited to 50. The unit
can still play music for some minutes.
If the battery is empty, the display will show “LOW BATT” and TOURING/S+ will
automatically turn off.
Display shows ‘NO DAB SERVICE’ or ‘NO DAB SIGNAL’
Extend the antenna. You may have to experiment different positions to nd the
best reception. Positions higher up or nearer windows may improve reception.

Playing music
Most mobile phones will connect automatically to the TOURING/S+ after initial
set-up (“pairing”).
1. Be sure the Bluetooth setting on your mobile phone is ON.
2. Press the key. The display will show “BLUE”, then will show
“SEARCH”, as blinking.
3. After a few seconds, TOURING/S+ will automatically connect to your mobile
phone. The display will show “CONNECT”.
4. Play music on the mobile phone and the music will start playing on the TOUR-
ING/S+ automatically after a few seconds.

The TOURING/S+ will not turn on, and the display shows “LOW BATT”.
The battery is low on charge.
Connect the power adapter to the TOURING/S+ and the battery will begin charg-
ing. You can use the TOURING/S+ while the charger is connected.
The TOURING/S+ will not turn on, and nothing happens.
If the battery is very low, there will not be enough power to even turn on the
display. TOURING/S+ can be turned on after it has been connected for a short
while to the power adapter.

ÜBERSICHT
Sie können Musik aus den folgenden Quellen abspielen:

• DAB-Radio.

VERWENDUNG VON TOURING/S+
FM Radio
1. Drücken Sie bis auf dem Display “FM” und eine Frequenz erscheint,
zum Beispiel “103,2”.

2. Wählen Sie einen FM-Sender und :
• Verwenden Sie einen einzigen Tastendruck: Frequenz um 0,1 MHz ändern.
• Für eine kurze Zeit gedrückt halten: automatisch nach dem nächsten oder
vorherigen Sender suchen.
3. Nach wenigen Sekunden wird das Display die RDS-Informationen anzeigen.
DAB / DAB+
1. Drücken Sie bis auf dem Display “DAB/DAB+” erscheint.
2. Wählen Sie einen DAB-Sender mit und . TOURING/S+ ist
kompatibel mit DAB, DAB+, DMR und DMB. Wenn Sie ihr TOURING/S+ zum
ersten Mal benutzen, muss das Radio die verfügbaren Radiosender in Ihrer
Region nden (eine Scan-Funktion). Nach einem SCAN werden die Sender
automatisch gespeichert.
• Halten Sie die Taste gedrückt, bis “SCAN” angezeigt wird. Die
Anzeige wird einige Sekunden lang blinken, dann bestätigt das Display, dass die
erste Station gefunden wurde.
“SCAN” wird auch nach einer Reise an einen neuen Ort benötigt, der andere
Radiosender bietet, oder wenn Sie das Radio in einen anderen Raum mit einem
anderen Radioempfang mitnehmen.
Voreinstellungen
Sie können sechs FM-Sender sowie sechs DAB-Sender speichern. Um eine
Voreinstellung zu speichern:
1. Wählen Sie den Sender, den Sie speichern möchten.
2. Lange drücken, bis auf dem Display “PRESET 1” blinkend angezeigt
wird.
3. Wenn Sie mit einer anderen PRESET-Nummer speichern möchten, drücken Sie
oder um die gewünschte Nummer auszuwählen.
4. Danach lange drücken, um den Sender zu speichern.
So rufen Sie eine Voreinstellung auf:
1. Kurz drücken. Das Display wird die erste gespeicherte Voreinstellung
zeigen. Wenn ein gespeicherter Sender wiedergegeben wird, erscheint auf dem
Display die nächste gespeicherte Voreinstellung.
Wenn Sie einen anderen Sender abrufen möchten, drücken Sie oder

Line-in
Um ein Quellgerät an ihr TOURING/S+ anzuschließen, benötigen Sie ein Ste-
reo-Audiokabel mit 3,5 mm Klinkenstecker-Anschluss.
1. Schließen Sie das Kabel an das Audiogerät (Kopfhörer oder Line-Out-Stecker)
an.
2. Schließen Sie das andere Ende des Kabels an die Line-In-Buchse auf der
Rückseite des TOURING/S+ an. Das Gerät wird automatisch in den LINE IN Modus
wechseln.
3. Durch das Trennen des Kabels vom TOURING/S+ kehrt das Gerät in den vorher
gewählten Modus zurück.
