1.Introduction
The G-NoteSeriesofdigitalnoterecorderhasbuilt-in memorythatallowsyou to
instantlycapturenotesordiagramswritten in inkon normal paperwithout
connecting intoyourcomputer,and thentransferadigital dataintoacomputer
for viewing,editing,or sharing byemail on Windows platform.When the G-Note
connectsintoacomputer, it isable touselikeatablet.

G-Notecanbe deployed inanysituationswherebothapaperhardcopyand a
digitizedsoftcopyarerequired,suchasminutestaking,lecturenotestaking or

2.1 Install thebatteries intothedigital recorder
Open the batteriesoftroughand changethe batteries.Afterthat, closethe cover
trough.
Turnofthe powerbeforechanging the batteriesorthememorydatacould
come out witherrors.
WARNING! When the batteryinstalled inawrongway,will leak out
the liquidfrom the battery.
Donot mix togetherwithdifferent brandsorused batteries.
Pleasetakeout the batteriesif not using formorethan30 days.
FourAAA alkalinebatteriescan beused approximate100hours
continuously. Battery lifevariesbased ondifferent brand.
2.2 Install thebatteries forDigital Pen

Open the bottom ofdigital pen’slid and takeoutthe mercurybatteryfrom
packing bag,then install anewonewiththe negative(-)pole facingthe pen tip.
Screwbothbarrel partsup until tight.
Incorrect battery installationwill result inthe malfunction of the digital
inkpen.
Important:
Removecoverlabel beforeinserting
the pen battery.
Incasetolosethe digital pen, pleaseput them intothe G-Note’strough.

Forrecognizing the text onthe LCD screen easily, the twodecimal digitsof
the page counterareenlarged in the centerofthe screen,whereasthe
hundreds(0-1)aredisplayed behind the hyphen inthe top rowofthe
display.
Although theG-Notetheoreticallyhasthe abilitytobuild up about99
workbooksof199 digital pageseach,suchability islimited tothe maximum
storage capacity ofthe built-in flashmemoryin practically. Therefore,the
G-Note7100 hasastorage capacity of32MB, whichisabout75digital
pages.
3.2 Power Button
1.Enablethe Digital noterecorder
Inordertostartthe Digital noterecorder,press the button of POWER
about 3seconds, the LCD showson (as right picture).

Pressthe button of ,and selectthe menu functions.(Pleasereferthesection

3.Disablethe Digital noteRecorder
Inordertoshut downthe Digital noterecorder, pressthe button of
POWER about 3seconds,the LCD shows off (asright picture).
3.3 Buildup and store anew page
It is stronglyrecommended tonumberdownthe sheetsonyour
notepad andcopythe workbookand page numberon the LCD
displayeachtime whenyou turnoverasheet. Thiswill helpto
synchronizethe papersheetswiththe workbooksand digital pagesin
the G-Note’smemory.
STEP-1 Press /tocreateanewpage.

Toavoid the creationof superimposed digital pages,makesurethat the
pagestatusindicatoron theLCDscreendisplaysan empty page before
you start writing on anewpage.
Beforecreating newpage orselectingthe oldone,waiting for or
comesout for recording data.
The sizeofthe filesisdependingon howmuchthe handwritten datayou
have.
3.4 Modifynotes
Whenever, you canturnthepageyou wishtogo that you havewritten and
saved before.
Pressthe Page Up rbutton or Page Down sbutton tobrowsepagesand
makecorrectionsoradditional noteson empty space.
You maybrowseseveral sheetsatatimetocheckearliernotes.However,if
you wanttomakeadditionson aparticularsheet, you mustturnthe page by
repeatedlypressing the Page Up or Down buttonsuntil the page counter
indicatesthe same number asthe one you havemarked on the sheet itself.
3.5 Delete pages

and deletepagesfasterbyput amark “-“in the head of file name.

3.7 Testing forDigital InkPen
Firstly, pick upthe digital pen(makesurethe mercurybattery install
properly)andtrytowriteanything on the G-Note’sworkingarea
(LCD will display ),thatmeansthe penisworking fine.(ifdetect
the pen aroundthe workingarea butno writing action,then LCD will
display )
If the LCD displaysthe icon or , the digital pen isworking fine.
If no icon displays,thatmeansthe pen hasno action.(
Even though you
still writebyusinganormal pen,no recordoractionwill be saved as
computerfiles.)
Becarefulifno icon appeared when you are
in writingaction.If not,
pleasecheck the battery runout ornot install properly.

4.Introduction toSoftwareFunctions
The Digital Organizerallows you toview,edit, annotate,ore-mailon Windows.
You can download the digital notepadsfrom the G-Notetoyourcomputer,and
organize,rename,delete,orsavethemin mostfrequentlyused file formatslike
JPG, BMP, orPDF.
4.1 Install Digital Organizer
1.Turnonyourcomputerand start Windows
2.Insertthe Digital OrganizerCD intothe CD-ROM driver.If yoursystem has
the “Autorun”function enabled, yourscreen will display the setup screenmenu.
If the setup screen did notappearforawhile,double click Mycomputer on the
Windowsdesktop,andthenclick the CompactDisc icon and the Setup iconin
succession.
3.Confirmthe location ofthe
destination folder(recommended)
and click[OK].
4.To proceedwiththe installation,
click [OK], waituntil the installation is
completed, and click [OK] again.

4.2 Transfer your data from G-Note toyour
computer
1.UsingUSBcable toconnectyourG-Noteandcomputer.
Makesureyour
computerispoweron and plug the mini connectorintoyourG-
Noteand plug the
big connector intoan available USB port on yourcomputer.

4.4 Using the G-Note as Tablet
Assoon asyou haveestablished aUSB connectionbetweenyourPC

G-Note,you can havethe functionoftablet

Avoid directcontactbetween the pentip and thewriting area

the writing area withasheetofpaper,orjustuse
an empty page ofyournotepad whenusing the G-

tabletmode.Thiswill avoid scratchesorinktracesonthe
G-Note’ssurface.
4.5 Introduction toDigital Organizer
Tostartthe programin Windows2000 (orXP),doubleclickonthe G-
Noteicon
on the Windowsdesktop.Alternatively,click [Start] ►[Programs] ►
[G-Note] ►[G-Noteicon
]. The Digital Organizer’smain windowwill appear
