INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on the purchase of the Genlantis SteriZAP® Electrostatic Backpack Sprayer. This rechargeable battery
powered unit was designed and developed for spraying disinfecting liquids in the air and on multiple types of surfaces to help
eradicate or reduce disease causing pathogens.
The SteriZAP® Electrostatic Backpack Sprayer works by adding a negative charge to liquid molecules as they pass through the
sprayer nozzle. The charged droplets that are produced repel each other and this results in stronger surface adhesion and a
wraparound effect for a more complete cleaning procedure (Figure 1). The SteriZAP® Electrostatic Sprayer will improve labor
efficiency while reducing chemical waste and overspray. Disinfection and sterilization tasks have never been easier or more
efficient.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
(a) When using chemical disinfectants, refer to manufacturer’s documentation for correct and safe use of
chemical, and wear protective personal equipment whenever indicated.
(b) Users must be grounded when using these devices, and failure to do so can create a risk of sparks or electrical
shock.
(c) Only use water soluble disinfectants or chemicals. Do not use sprayer with chemical solutions like alcohols or
other highly volatile compounds.
(d) Store the sprayer unit in a cool dry place. Do not immerse in water or expose to extreme temperatures.
(e) Do not use or operate the sprayer if it has been damaged or if it is not working properly.
(f) Read this manual in full before first use. If possible, practice using this sprayer with water only to get a feel
for spray output, and to correctly gauge appropriate distance and intensity of spray.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before first use, fully charge the SteriZAP Electrostatic Sprayer. The unit will be fully charged when
the charger light changes from red to green.
2. Unplug the sprayer from the charger cable, and fill the tank (1) with the needed disinfecting
solution.
3. While pointing the sprayer gun (2) at the area or object to be sprayed, turn the Main Power Switch
(3) on. The unit will start spraying a fine mist.
IMPORTANT: it is important to stay grounded during the use of the electrostatic sprayer in order to
avoid sparks or electric shock. This is achieved by wearing leather shoes or a grounding strap. The
unit has a grounding
4. For most indoor applications, aim to cover surfaces with an even coat of solution by continuously
moving the sterilizer gun from side to side in even strokes.
NOTE: do not saturate areas with too much liquid to avoid material damage and/or slippery
walking surfaces.
5. For outdoor applications, or whenever needed, the booster fan can be used to extend the range
and output of the spray gun. Turn the booster fan on by turning the fan switch (4) on.
6. When finished spraying, turn off the fan switch first, then turn off the main power switch second.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The SteriZAP Electrostatic Sprayer is a durable and low maintenance unit.
Occasionally, or when unit performs unusually, we recommend the following:
1. Empty the main tank from all solutions, and inspect the tank interior for
visible debris; rinse if necessary.
2. Clean the two filters on tank bottom (Figure 2): unscrew each filter
carefully by twisting counter clockwise on the base of the filter (avoid
twisting on the top or narrow part of the filter to avoid breakage).
Remove and rinse filters using clean water only.
