geonovo Romad RSP-100 User manual

When rst switching on your RSP-100 all settings relating to the numbers on the Speed Dial keys,
Pre-Alert and SOS alert are usually pre-congured. These are managed through a web platform
operated by your service administrator with commands sent remotely to update the RSP-100.
Local Phone settings are
congured through the menus
accessed by pressing the
key. The side key is used
to change selection and the
key will exit.
NOTE: If you have no numbers
stored or Speed Dial keys have
not been congured, please
contact your Service
Administrator.
Switch your Phone on or
off by pressing and holding
the key.

Use the side key and
scroll to the required option, us-
ing the button to select.
The button is used to to
go back up the menu hierarchy.
Unlock the keypad by
pressing the button and
enter the main menu using .

Charging the phone
When the battery is charged “Full battery”
and the full battery icon are shown on the
screen. Remove the connector from the phone
by pressing the buttons on both sides and pull.
To charge the phone, open the rubber
socket cover on the base of the phone and
plug in the connector. Plug the other end into a
standard AC wall outlet or car power socket as
appropriate.

Battery Indicators
When the battery charge is low and depending
on conguration, there will be an audible alert
and an empty battery status icon ashes
at the top of the display. When the battery level
gets too low, the phone turns off automatically.
Watch the battery status icon and make sure
your battery is adequately charged.

Welcome to the Romad RSP-100 Personal Safety Phone. This guide provides
a main functional summary of the RSP-100 and should be used in conjunction
with other training and procedures you may receive.
Insert the SIM card into the
socket making sure the notched
corner is at the top right and
the gold contact area is facing
downwards.
Re-insertion of the battery
is the reverse of removal, when
inserted apply downward
pressure until you hear the
fastening click.
To remove the battery, push
the release latch upwards (1)
and pull the battery out (2).

Obtaining a GPS position
is indicated by ‘Success’ on
the screen and a GPS icon
indicates GPS and GPRS con-
nection and for GPS only.
If ‘Failed’ is shown move to
a more open area and re-try. In
this case if a GPRS connection
is available it will be indicated
with the icon.
Select ‘Check GPS’ from
the main menu.

If the name of the incoming
number is stored then the name
is shown, otherwise the phone
number is displayed.
Press to receive the call
and when nished press to
end the call.
If you do not want to answer the
call, press to decline.
If your phone gets a call, it
is displayed on the screen and
the phone will ring or vibrate ac-
cording to your settings.

The RSP-100 simultane-
ously opens a 2-way voice call
with the congured emergency
contact and transmits your cur-
rent or last known GPS location
where known.
Within a few seconds the
call with the emergency contact
will be connected. You should
now follow the SOS procedure
as covered in your training.
To make an SOS Emer-
gency Call, press and push the
SOS switch upwards, the
phone vibrates to conrm.
NOTE: Service is dependent on
GSM & GPS service availability.

Network Strength - Indicates level
of quality for voice calls.
Ring Mode - Indicates the phone
will ring if called.
Phone is in Key Lock mode, press
to unlock.
The optional man down feature allows users to set a repeat status check, typically used in situa-
tions of higher risk. At the end of each congured interval the user is prompted 3 times at 30 second
periods to conrm their welfare, if they fail to conrm their welfare using the key a man down alert
will be sent. This will be repeated for the total duration congured.
Congure the options for
Duration and Interval.
The Notication Method can
also be set or left at default.
From the main menu select
‘Man Down’.

Ring Mode - Indicates the phone
will vibrate if called.

Pressing the same Speed
Dial toggles between name and
number. If no name, then only
the number is shown.
After you have pressed a
Speed Dial you wish to call,
press the key to initiate the
call. You can also make a call
by holding down the Speed
Dial key for 3 seconds. The
main menu gives access to the
phonebook which can hold 16
additional numbers.
If you press a Speed dial
key, you will see a name rst,
then the corresponding number.

The Pre-Alert optional feature provides the user the ability to leave a recorded message about their
location which is later accessible by an emergency contact in the event of an SOS activation. This
feature is useful before a user enters a building or if experiencing poor GSM or GPS signal strength.
The Speed-Dial will call
an Intelligent Voice Recording
(IVR) platform for you to record
your message.
The recorded Message is
time and date stamped and
every new recording overwrites
the older one.
If congured then Speed
Dial key 4 will be set-up for Pre-
Alert. To activate, press and
hold for three seconds.

The RSP-100 can receive, but not send, messages. Up to 30 messages can be stored and retrieved.
From the main menu select
Message and then Inbox.
All messages will be
displayed with the newest un-
opened message rst. Scroll to
a message and select to open.
Selecting an open message will
give the option to delete it.
On receiving a message,
the RSP-100 vibrates or rings,
and displays a message icon.
