1-1ConsiderationsPriortoInstallation
PreparingYourComputer
Themotherboardcontainsnumerousdelicateelectroniccircuitsandcomponentswhichcanbecome
damaged
asa
result
of
electrostaticdischarge(ESD).Thus,prior
to
installation,pleasefollowthe
instructionsbelow:
1.Pleaseturnoffthecomputerandunplugitspowercord.
2.Whenhandlingthemotherboard,avoidtouchinganymetalleadsorconnectors.
3.
It
isbesttowearanelectrostaticdischarge(ESD)cuffwhenhandlingelectroniccomponents
(CPU,RAM).
4.Priortoinstallingtheelectroniccomponents,pleasehavetheseitemsontopofanantistaticpad
or
within
a
electrostaticshieldingcontainer.
5.Pleaseverifythatthepowersupplyisswitchedoffbeforeunpluggingthepowersupplyconnector
fromthemotherboard.
InstallationNotices
1.Priortoinstallation,pleasedonotremovethestickersonthemotherboard.Thesestickersarerequired
forwarrantyvalidation.
2.Priortotheinstallationofthemotherboardoranyhardware,pleasefirstcarefullyreadtheinformation
intheprovidedmanual.
3.Beforeusingtheproduct,pleaseverifythatallcablesandpowerconnectorsareconnected.
4.Topreventdamagetothemotherboard,pleasedonotallowscrewstocomeincontactwiththe
motherboardcircuitoritscomponents.
5.Pleasemakesuretherearenoleftoverscrewsormetalcomponentsplacedonthemotherboard
or
withinthecomputercasing.
6.Pleasedonotplacethecomputersystemonanunevensurface.
7.Turningonthecomputerpowerduringtheinstallationprocesscanleadtodamagetosystem
componentsaswellasphysicalharmtotheuser.
