WARNING!

workon yourcomputer.
1.Unplug yourcomputerwhen working on the inside.
2.Useagrounded wriststrap beforehandling computercomponents.If you do nothave
one,touchbothofyourhandstoasafelygrounded objectortoametalobject, suchas
the powersupplycase.
3.Holdcomponentsbythe edgesand trynottouchthe ICchips,leadsorconnectors,or
othercomponents.
4.Placecomponentson agrounded antistaticpad oron the bag thatcamewiththe
componentswheneverthe componentsareseparated fromthe system.
5.Ensurethatthe ATXpowersupplyisswitched off beforeyou plug inorremovethe ATX
powerconnectoron the motherboard.
If themotherboardhasmounting holes,buttheydon’tline up withthe holeson the baseand thereare
no slotstoattachthe spacers,do notbecomealarmed you can still attachthe spacerstothe mounting
holes.Justcutthe bottomportion ofthe spacers(the spacermaybe alittlehardtocutoff, sobe careful
ofyourhands).Inthiswayyou can still attachthe motherboardtothe basewithoutworrying aboutshort
circuits.Sometimesyou mayneed tousethe plasticspringstoisolatethe screwfromthe motherboard
PCBsurface,becausethe circuitwiremaybe nearbythe hole.Becareful,don’tletthe screwcontact
anyprinted circuitwriteorpartson the PCBthatarenearthe fixing hole,otherwiseitmaydamage the
boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.

Step1-1: CPU Speed Setup
The system bus frequency can be switched at 66/100/133MHz by BIOS.
The clock ratio can be switched by adjusting CLK_RATIO(SW1).
(The external frequency depend on CPU .)

and up to90-degree angle.
Pin1indicator
2.LocatePin1inthe socketand look
fora(golden)cutedge on the CPU
uppercorner.Then insertthe CPU
intothe socket.
Forexample:The newestPentiumIII processor(FC-PGA2package).
MPlease make suretheCPUtypeissupportedbythemotherboard.
MIfyou do notmatchtheCPUsocketPin1and CPUcutedgewell, itwill cause
improperinstallation.Please changetheinsertorientation.

ontothe CPUsocketon the main-
board.
2.Usequalified fan approved byIntel.
4.Makesurethe CPUfan is
plugged tothe CPUfan connector,
than install complete.
1.Press downthe CPUsocket
leverand finishCPUinstallation.
MPlease use Intelapprovedcooling fan.
MWerecommend you toapplythethermalpastetoprovidebetterheat
conduction betweenyourCPUand heatsink.
MMake suretheCPUfanpowercableispluggedintotheCPUfanconnector,
thiscompletes theinstallation.
MPlease refertoCPUheatsinkuser’smanualformoredetail installation
procedure.

Step2:Install memorymodules
The motherboardhas2dualin-line memorymodule(DIMM)socketssupport4banks.The BIOSwill
automaticallydetectsmemorytype and size.Toinstall the memorymodule,justpushitverticallyintothe
DIMM Slot.The DIMM modulecan onlyfitinone direction due tothe twonotch.Memorysizecan vary
between sockets.
1.The DIMM slothastwonotch,sothe
DIMM memorymodulecan onlyfitin
one direction.
2. Insertthe DIMM memorymodule
verticallyintothe DIMM slot. Then
pushitdown.
3.Closethe plasticclipatbothedgesofthe DIMM slotstolock the DIMM module.
Reversethe installation stepswhen you wishtoremovethe DIMM module.
SDRAM
MWhenSTR/DIMM LEDisON,do notinstall/remove SDRAMfromsocket.
MPlease notethattheDIMM modulecanonlyfitinonedirection duetothetwo
notches.Wrong orientation will cause improperinstallation.Please change
theinsertorientation.

Step3:Install expansion cards
1.Read the related expansion card’sinstruction documentbeforeinstall the expansion cardinto
the computer.
2.Removeyourcomputer’schassiscover,necessaryscrewsand slotbracketfromthe computer.
3.Press the expansion cardfirmlyintoexpansion slotinmotherboard.
4.Besurethe metalcontactson the cardareindeed seated inthe slot.
5.Replacethe screwtosecurethe slotbracketofthe expansion card.
6.Replaceyourcomputer’schassiscover.
7.Poweron the computer,ifnecessary,setup BIOSutilityofexpansion cardfromBIOS.
8. Install related driverfromthe operating system.
